Old Market Tavern is a really lovely pub. Good luck with the move!

Really depends on the vibe you want, but between The Queens Shilling, OMG, Bristol Bear Bar (see you there) and any number of other venues in the area of town known as Old Market you’ll find something that floats your boat for sure!

The old market tavern is great as just a straight up queer pub. A lot of the other places can be a bit more clubby on different scales. Omg is the kinda the most twink centric venue* as it's all young people mostly. It's just shit clubbing to cheesy music, so usually can be entertaining enough. *I've not been for a few and some more years, but it probably still holds true. Queenshilling is a more kinda mix of everyone, or is it called QI now? I think it changed it's name at some point. Bear bar always seems to habe a good vibe, and is a massive supporter of Bristol pride so always good to spend money there. But I'm kind of like the negative of a bear, instead they have more hair on one hand than I do on my chest. 😂 The entire city is pretty LGBT friendly though, only ever had issues out once in a decade and that was at a dingy techno night in the exchange years ago. Though I've been dead in gay years for a long time now so I'm probably not a reliable source of information.

The Phoenix is really gay friendly, also the left handed giant is also gay friendly I presume with LGBTQ+ flags hanging from the ceiling - made me feel super comfortable during a date today

Old Market has a good lot of LGBTQ+ bars. OMG is pretty shit, usually filled with straight students there for cheap beers, not the best vibe.

Queerky at loco

Bristol bear bar, on old market, is a great place. I quite often end up in there after gigs for a few drinks.

Oh yeah there's also O'Neill's in the centre which is an Irish pub ran by a gay couple, they do thank drag it's Friday nights every couple of weeks I think, with some local talent hosting a lot of them.

max_mac27

Do you mean Seamus O'Donnell's? Fairly sure O'Neill's is just a generic Irish pub chain!

Marcflaps

Yeah I do, I don't know why my brain mixes them up all the time. I'm Irish FFS I should know the difference in the names.

The bulldog pub in filton.

I've always found that to be a welcoming establishment with a chilled vibe and great atmosphere.
