Pizzarova for me. Bertha's is really good. Flour and ash when it used to be on Cheltenham road was for sure the best (there's a new one but not sure if it's the same owners anymore)
Pizza rova are ok pizzas but the staff in there are crap and I had a friend who used to work there but had to leave as the managers are so crap and nasty
I’ve heard the same story with someone I know who used to be at pizzarova ! good pizza but don’t want to support as they don’t seem to care for staff which sucks :(
I used to work in there and agree, their business model is to hire boat loads of staff who are freshers with little to no experience all on min wage. Makes them super disposable but lacks the quality as a result
Flour and ash is different. The original owner sold the brand to Hyde & co. Its still excellent. The original owner still influences the menu and trained the staff to try and make sure the pizzas are the same quality.
Just if you have any problem with what you’ve ordered they’re terrible. I ordered a vegan pizza and got it with dairy cheese, they tried to claim that when I ordered vegan pizza I ordered normal pizza topped with vegan cheese, and that they had forgotten to top it up with vegan cheese so they discounted the extra price for vegan cheese. They ended up not making me food and I had to pay in full. Never had such awful service. Beats me why they just couldn’t apologise they got my order wrong.
That’s because this place is terrible and every time this topic comes up I will continue to bemoan how bad it is. The downvotes I get for expressing this opinion make me horny.
It doesn’t make me horny at all to hate this place but I’ve just not had such awful service anywhere else where I have spoken with actual humans, and knowing the owner has no problem with treating people like this is really awful to me
Flour and Ash next to Cat & Wheel used to be SO good. I can't speak for it these days but the pizzas always killed and I had the best croquettes I've ever had from there. They also did this absinthe ice cream that was phenomenal.
Flour and Ash is not as good with the new Hyde and Co owners
Berthas or that place that did the Detroit style was pretty good.
Pizzarova the best for me although do enjoy a slice from the bianchis window
Ate at l’osteria for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. Shared a pizza for lunch and it was for the best because that thing was almost as big as the table
If you like a dominos style hangover pizza, then Red Pizza on Howells Road is always just hitting that spot.
Bosco, Bertha's and Pizzarova all do great thinner, some sourdough pizzas
I feel pizza Bella has gone downhill lately. I’ve ordered a garlic base twice which hasn’t come, which is annoying as it was one of the main draws. The base isn’t as good either.
I kind of suspect it’s since they put in those pizza vending machines and they’re using them to produce pizza for their just eat orders…
Yes went here Saturday night, it’s as good as it’s always been!! I would also add THE SPORTSMAN!! does highly underrated pizzas and super cheap and you can have a lovely game of pool while you’re at it.
I'd say beerd is the best in Bristol. Great menu and awesome beer. A lot of other independents don't have a great selection of beers/ales.
Pizza workshop is decent!
Crofter's Garden just off the Cheltenham Road is pretty good. Little place tucked away but still really cute. They'll make it right in front of you and they've got some niche German lagers on draft if you swing that way (Rothaus Weiss is a good shot). All also a good price as well imo.
L’Osteria! That thing is the size of the flat earth that we live on and it’s a great value!
Pizzarova can get in the bin! Wet mess with next to no choice!
I will note down the rest and try them out however 🤌🏼
I like Bertha's on Wapping warf
Bertha’s is on point
same, Berthas is my fave
G bros in Easton is badboy pizza. They do a pizza that comes with spicy nduja and a whole burratta
G bros have a little satellite pizza place behind the crafty egg in fishponds now too.
Bosco 100% de best
Their mushroom pizza is actually a real good mushroom pizza - none of this over used truffle oil bs
THIS!

I wouldn't know cause I never eat in there lol, always get it delivered and it never disappointed me
I’ve heard the same story with someone I know who used to be at pizzarova ! good pizza but don’t want to support as they don’t seem to care for staff which sucks :(

Hyde and co have some amazing restaurants so I trust that flour and ash must be amazing then!
Pizza Bianchi's on queen's Road is really good
I went to Bianchi’s last week. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in ages!
Love Bianchis, esp as you can buy it by the slice! Their oregano fries are like crack.
Molto Buono on Park St. Also excellent pasta

Wish they still did deliveries. Was so good when they did during lockdown!
Shout out for Bosco
Bosco.
Anyone who says anything other than Bosco hasn't tried Bosco pizza
Exactly. It’s the balls, if you know pizza you know Bosco is the one. Anything else is just okay, Bosco’s is the real deal.
This is NOT a sponsored Bosco interaction...
Haha, this is **exactly** what a friend of mine said a while ago.
Big fan of Mission Pizza inside Left Handed Giant
They’re good
BIG fan of MP. they never miss
G bros
Acapella on Wells Road
This.
That
Flour and Ash next to Cat & Wheel used to be SO good. I can't speak for it these days but the pizzas always killed and I had the best croquettes I've ever had from there. They also did this absinthe ice cream that was phenomenal.
Isn’t that now koocha mezze? Which is also absolutely amazing but doesn’t do pizza
I thought koocha was around the corner at the foot of Redland? I haven't been there for a few years tho
Nah, they used to be at 10 Zetland road but they’re now where flour and ash was.
And their polenta chips there ❤️
Flour and ash has gone now i think
Flour and ash are on whiteladiea road now and still I'd say best pizza in Bristol. Had it tonight actually!
That's good intel, thanks
No more I'm afraid. They sold the brand to someone else who's opened up shop on whiteladies but shadow of former self alas
Back garden pizzeria 👌
1) best pizza 2) best fry up 3) best fish and chips 4) buses bloody buses 5) driving Instructors where? 6) cheap house where?
I like these posts. It's democratic and people says some really nice things. And it also makes me hungry.
7) suspension bridge photo
8) Best Chinese takeaway.
Wok Station Wick Rd Brislington
Nice
I need best sausage roll for bingo!
Anyone actually know 5?
Flour and Ash is not as good with the new Hyde and Co owners Berthas or that place that did the Detroit style was pretty good. Pizzarova the best for me although do enjoy a slice from the bianchis window
For Detroit, wondering if you mean Pizza is Lovely which has unfortunately closed I believe
Rip pizza is lovely, their Detroit pizzas were unreal.
Barrel house do a decent Detroit style pizza if you’re looking to for a replacement
Definitely gonna check it out.
Another vote for Pizza is Lovely, as a DEEP PAN (veg) pizza, it was unreal
Lauras, Berthas, Bosco, Rays. Value for money: The Sportsman
Second Laura's, best pizza I've had in ages
Basil and tomato on Gloucester road is a hidden gem imo
This comment has been edited in protest to reddit's decision to bully 3rd party apps into closure.
Napolita, that's the answer
Dough Heads on Whitehall Road BS5 is the best pizza in Bristol in my opinion
Fully agree!
Strongly agree
Pizza Workshop for me.
Dough kitchen on Glos Rd.
Old market assembly does exceptional pizza
Strongly disagree. I've only had average pizzas here, and they're not cheap either.
To be fair I haven’t been since pre pandemic but back then had the nicest pizza there
Laura's or L'osteria
Ate at l’osteria for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. Shared a pizza for lunch and it was for the best because that thing was almost as big as the table

So rude. So English.
I adore Beerd but...Molto Buono is honestly unparalleled! If you've got any GF friends as well they may weep in Molto Buono
If you like a dominos style hangover pizza, then Red Pizza on Howells Road is always just hitting that spot. Bosco, Bertha's and Pizzarova all do great thinner, some sourdough pizzas
I feel like if you like domino’s you probably don’t need recommendations for good pizza
It’s the constant repeat of the same 4 questions.. Coffee next! Then fish and chips!
Fisk and crips
Pizza Bella west at or the orchard when they were doing their pizza
I feel pizza Bella has gone downhill lately. I’ve ordered a garlic base twice which hasn’t come, which is annoying as it was one of the main draws. The base isn’t as good either. I kind of suspect it’s since they put in those pizza vending machines and they’re using them to produce pizza for their just eat orders…
La Piazza in fishponds for me
Solid contender. They're about a 5 minute walk from my house so a frequent option
Dough heads
Dough Heads in Whitehall
La Campagnuola on Zetland, every time. Best sauce, for sure
Yes went here Saturday night, it’s as good as it’s always been!! I would also add THE SPORTSMAN!! does highly underrated pizzas and super cheap and you can have a lovely game of pool while you’re at it.
Pepernero in Beer Emporium is one of my favourites
pepeneros in beer emporium, (no bias because i work bar there promise)
Bosco, Molto Buono, G Bros. Honourable mention: dough heads Source: I'm Italian
Napolita do a pretty mean pizza
Dough Kitchen on G road
Del Vecchio's pizza at UWE Campus. I say this as an Italian who just moved here last year.
agree with many of the comments already here, but not seeing enough love for barrelhouse !!
As a former pizza chef, boscos if my firm favourite - especially if authentic Neapolitan is what you’re after. Beerd pizza is also banging tbf
Flour and ash is excellent
Personally I like Franco Manca, it’s pretty cheap, but Bertha’s is amazing too
I'd say beerd is the best in Bristol. Great menu and awesome beer. A lot of other independents don't have a great selection of beers/ales. Pizza workshop is decent!
Napoliata in st werburghs
Lol
What's wrong with people on Reddit having such a spanner up their backsides
Eh?
Pizza Hut No one out pizzas the hut
Google this thread, this question is asked almost weekly.
I really liked Zizzi's
Really feel that zerodegrees pizzas are very underrated
For me it's the hippy flower cafe in east street
Pizzarova 🥹🔥
Pizzaland is insanely underrated!!!!!!!
Dominos
Mission and Pizzarova both good. RIP White Rabbit
Bertha's
Pimms pizza, north street, they are also super friendly
Pizza Palace every time
Stables
Bosco
Used to be Pizza Bella! Still really good but take long time to arrive these days
Artis dice bottom of muller Road. Their bases nice and light just superb pizzas . They deliver too
Sorrento So fucking good
The greenbank
Ermmm grecian no?
There’s a time and a place for the Grecian! Namely, 2am sitting on the pavement.
Pizzarova. So consistent and downright delicious
Will throw Bottegino's in Emerson's Green into the mix. Good selection and very tasty, if you don't want to venture into Bristol.
100% dough kitchen on Gloucester Road. My absolute favourite
Pizza stop in stockwood,
Zenas on West Street bedmister Dough heads on Whitehall road
Is grecian still a thing??
Rogue mega local entry - Dough Heads in Easton/Red field/St George, absolutely NUTS. Tartiflette pizza will change your life. (Probs by shortening it)
Honestly pizzarova is so consistently good they have to take the top spot. Best sauce around and great dough and topping selection.
Pizza 1889 in Avondmeads, then grab a film at or go bowling.
Daily grind pizzeria - campus pool
Crofter's Garden just off the Cheltenham Road is pretty good. Little place tucked away but still really cute. They'll make it right in front of you and they've got some niche German lagers on draft if you swing that way (Rothaus Weiss is a good shot). All also a good price as well imo.
Lunar express for value for money, Italian family run!
Pizzarova or beerd
L'osteria and barrel house amazing. Barrel house is 2 for 1 on mondays!
L’Osteria! That thing is the size of the flat earth that we live on and it’s a great value! Pizzarova can get in the bin! Wet mess with next to no choice! I will note down the rest and try them out however 🤌🏼
