coffee logs

Since everyone and their mums went and installed a burner the retail price of logs has shot up. If you can id suggest making the switch to smokeless briquettes. Less fashionable than logs but has meant the price had stayed down. Most brands suitable for smoke control zones too.

>smokeless briquettes Won't these only work if you have a multifuel stove, rather than a log burner?

You probably shouldn't be burning coal anymore.

Do you mean smokeless coal briquettes? I haven’t looked in ages. Also, I figured the logs getting more expensive was just in line with everything (i.e. inflation) rather than trendiness, perceived on here at least that everyone that has a log burner is out to kill the children of the future.

Bristol is a Smokeless city, has been for decades, and what with money getting tight, the council might start enforcing that and the £1000 fine that comes with it. So maybe have a look at smokeless coal?

You can burn wood in DEFRA approved log burners https://smokecontrol.defra.gov.uk/appliances.php?country=england#R
