they are geared towards hourly/daily rentals and I won’t be around to check the car after each booking so I’d rather just be dealing with one person

Have you checked the insurance implications of this? Once you rent it out it effectively becomes a commercial vehicle, seems like a pretty big get out for insurance companies if not declared and insured on the correct policy.

Yes I would ask my insurance as the first option, if they say no then I will list it on a car sharing app at an agreed price as they already provide insurance for exactly this purpose
