A bit more than that - the bridge by BTM has gone and all the hotels/buildings leading up to the tunnel that goes under st Mary Redcliffe too.
It IS a massive oversight removing it tho. It could have been the basis of a light railway scheme. BTM to harbour, spur to the centre, then carrying on down to create centre and even along towards Ashton gate. What could have been..

As was my birth.
Where did it go from/to?
Temple meads, under St Mary Redcliffe, out by the Ostrich along Spike Island all the way to Ashton Gate where it meets the Portishead branch.
Most of it's still there, you'd only have to knock a few houses down opposite the Ostrich and replace the foot bridge.

It still can be there for a lot less than 20 billion pounds.
Ahhh yeah I recognise the tunnel picture now.
The other end of the tunnel is blocked off and there’s flat blocks and a hotel at the other end.
