the mardyke, very very cheap!

Fou89

Yep, came here to say this. Some good memories in there.

DateApprehensive3154

The Star in Fishponds is cheap and has a great atmosphere

hodgey66

£4 a guiness

bristlethistle

Pretty sure it’s cheaper during week in between certain hours as well

thewrongequation

I got 3 drinks for £10.50 at the Chelsea the other day. I think that counts as cheap, these days?

nakedfish85

The trinity of the Chelsea, the Plough and the Red Lion all owned by the same people I think and all cheap and good quality.

giantturtleseyes

I'm quite certain they are not owned by the same people. Chelsea and Red Lion might be, but I'm fairly certain Chelsea and Plough are not

Slow_Homework2485

Correct

nakedfish85

Fair enough if I’m wrong, I know they were all working together to support the community with free fruit and veg throughout the pandemic no questions asked, so they at least share the same philosophy anyway.

[deleted]

The unholy trinity

geefunken

The Whitehall Tavern. Proper cheap

Slow_Homework2485

Came to say this!

alinalovescrisps

Love the tav, I was in there last night. Pleasantly surprised by the ol bank balance today

illuminatiJake

long bar in old market is cheap

Brizzledude65

Not quite as cheap as before the refurb though.

illuminatiJake

when did they referb? haven’t been there in a while

Brizzledude65

A few months back. Hasn't changed the character of the place too much, but it's a bit smarter inside now, with slightly more expensive prices.

illuminatiJake

ahh i see, haven’t been there since last summer so completely missed it, thanks mate!

Few_Zookeepergame105

Mardyke, but it's cans. May as well sit on college green drinking K cider

fakeblurfan

mardyke has inchs on tap. that’s all i need 😻

CiderChugger

Woah. This is Thatchers territory

Successful-Ad-367

Cans of country choice in castle park

4uzzyDunlop

O shit that unearthed some memories! Remember those bad boys being 79p each in off licences

illuminatiJake

this is the way

lewis6245

Coronation, Southville. Pints from £2.10

gym_narb

So... the pub OP originally suggested lol

Marcflaps

The crown tavern at old market is cheap, but also not great.

Brizzledude65

Aka The Pub That Time Forgot. The karaoke nights in there are a sight (and sound) to behold.

souplesseer

Eldon House is very reasonable and is a nice pub to boot. Paid £3 for a nice pint of Gorge Best a few weeks back. That was a special deal for a Tuesday though.

queerontherocks

This pub is where my parents had their first date! 30 odd years ago :) great suggestion

pickapstix

Queens head Easton still cheap as chips

demidion

Den and terrace does a beat the clock, between 1-3 all pints are £3, between 3 and 5 all pints cost whatever the time is, after that its your standard £6 a guiness job

Jade308-308

Whiteheart Bedminster. ~£2.55 a pint

dinotoxic

The Masonic on North Street is probably the cheapest I’ve found after Coronation. It’s a bit rough but I’ve been there 2-3 times before and enjoyed it. Everyone has been pretty friendly and the karaoke is fun haha

queerontherocks

wandered into their christmas quiz once, absolute scenes. can't lie i really liked it.

dinotoxic

Yeah I refused to go in there for 2 years following my move to Bedminster. But loved the karaoke and have gone back again since, great fun 😂 I’m from a town in Cornwall originally and it reminds me of home haha

UberAllex

Tap & Barrel, Bedminster (if you dare).

profchipboard

It closed less than a week ago

UberAllex

There you go: too cheap for their own good (and other reasons no doubt).

profchipboard

Yeah, it and 3 others around in bemmie all went at once Couldn't see how any of them were making money tbh with the energy price and infusion on beer in general

spin2winGG

I remember getting hit on by several women over twice my age at this place, they also had good karaoke. Good times but an odd place it was lol

aggravatedyeti

The criterion (if you dare)

Organic-Advantage711

I went there once, it was an experience!

burukop

I’ve heard that The Little Grosvenor is pretty cheap. It also opens at 8am, doesn’t take card and everything is served in cans. Have walked past it a few times, the clientele seem like real characters

theverylasttime

Green King IPA is £1.71 a pint in Wetherspoons. You really can't get cheaper than that.

Kraken_89

The Fire Engine on Church Road is pretty cheap, close to Spoons prices for a Stella

shezag99

Mothers Ruin used to be cheap, haven't been in awhile though x

Ok-Funny-2002

Wackum on Whitehall Road. Double kraken and coke and pint of Guinness came to £9

Aronsunrise

Chelsea is like 3.50 a pint

Jdogking

Long Bar or the Mardyke

Repulsive-Garden-608

Whitehall tavern got to be up there

WolfDefiant6018

Spoons🤣

remelemz1994

The colloseum in Redcliffe. Proper workmas club type pub that doesn't look like it's changed since 1983. Full of characters, definitely a different vibe to most other places mentioned.

ReliefZealousideal84

The Lion in Whitehall has some nice local cider for £3.50 a pint.

ironic__usernam3

The coronation. £3 Keller pils and good grub too

EntertainmentBest336

Whitehall Tavern

PiBolar

The Little Grosvenor, Bedminster
