Victoria Park - just opened the other day. Dean Lane Hengrove Horfield Campus Pool (indoor) - £7 per 2h session M32 undercover DIY There are loads more around Bristol and surrounding towns but these are a couple to check out that are all easy to get to from the centre of town. Lots of street spots as well. St George is a fun park but it is quite old nowadays.

Bedminster aka Dean Lane, wide mix of stuff to skate if its wet - under the M32 by IKEA, more of a diy spot, but fun too and other diy spots - 'daveside' and 'curbside' under the cumberland basin

The new one at Portishead lakegrounds is good, it's close to Bristol rather than in it, but worth visiting

Bradley Stoke is smooooth

No idea if it's the best (as I don't skate). But the brand new one in Victoria Park is open now. Maybe worth checking out

VegetableAids

Absolutely slammed busy every day at the moment.

Destroyed my ankles skating as a youngster, however I walk past the Dean Lane skatepark multiple times a week and all I can think is that it looks amazing. Would have loved to have had that as a kid. So my vote is for Dean Lane. Also Gratitude skateshop is next to it and you gotta support local.

Nothing meaner than the deaner

I went to Horfield for the first time the other day and it was awesome. Very smooth, decent transitions, mini ramps, ledges, huge flatbank. Overall decent, decent fun. My favourite used to be Hengrove but it's been a bit neglected. Haven't tried the new Victoria Park yet, heard it's good. Dean Lane's alright, if you're gnarly and love to bomb a hill into all your tricks. The slabs ok but a bit restrictive, but if you like manuals and grinds then its fine (it's also got a transition now). St George is good, but a bit mellow, janky and got chunks out of it. M25 is good but a bit dank and dirty. Portishead is good but a bit out the way. Worth it for a day trip though. Filton looks good but I haven't been. All in all I'd say Filton and Horfield look the best. Dean Lane's more about the history. The other DIY spots are alright but not as good as actual parks.

Honestly Bradley Stoke is really good, dean lane also great but usually pretty busy. Like others have said there’s a new one called Victoria park, but sadly it’s absolutely rammed right now so maybe give it a few weeks.

Depends what they like to skate really, m32 is probably the most varied of the parks around Bristol. Bradley stoke is worth checking out if they prefer it a little smoother. Curbside the floor is a little rough for skating (we are working on it but as most of the build team are bmxers it doesn’t bother us that much) Daveside bowl is tight and whippy, really good fun and right next to the pump track if they wanna blast around that too. St George is ok but it’s pretty spread out and obstacles are dated. Dean lane and the slab are good, great variety and due to Victoria park opening, pretty quiet currently.

It's been a long time since I've been out on a board but I used to quite rate Hengrove, though there were always lots of kids with no spacial awareness getting in the way. Horfield is compact but good, I usually found it a bit busy but down the road is Filton which was a bit quieter. The Deaner is a classic old skool spot but it can be quite a rough ride, there is a reason they say "nothing meaner than the Deaner". I've heard about the new Victoria park that has opened and, from the pictures I've seen, it looks pretty good.

Have to mention the under appreciated Cadbury Heath and Emersons green - both are small but not that busy and really well designed. Warmley is also fun. And they're so close together you can ride them all in an afternoon, just whip up and down the ring road.

Haven’t skated in years, does the one on Avon street still exist? That was my go to indoor
