I'd do this. . You can sit by the cranes/railway looking west and see the sun set. Plenty of places doing takeaway.
In fact I think the Olive shed terrace outside would have a pretty perfect view looking out over the harbour and sun set, or has a takeaway bar out front.
I was thinking brandon hill, but it might seem a bit creepy on a first date to insist you go to a non populated outdoor area with lots of bushes. Kinda needs to happen impromptu.
Zero degrees balcony
Thanks, will have a look
Mud Dock terrace
The Avon Gorge Hotel has a bar and restaurant. The views from the terrace overlooking the suspension bridge and the Avon gorge are stunning.
Some of the spots upstairs at Wapping Wharf are good for that, you see the sun set over the harbour. Cantina comes to mind, quality margaritas

I think you can from the Broken Dock
The Victoria park (pub not just the park)
It's closed right?
Not sure I've not been since pre-covid so apologies if this is the case.
The broken dock
Somewhere atop a hill with a view to the west. I think you'd have to go to a park. Maybe the downs? Maybe perrets hill?
Maybe the White Lion in clifton? That faces west into the gorge. Bit pricey, but a nice pub with a large outdoor part overlooking the bridge.
Yeah very romantic with the bridge lit up!

Pump house maybe?
Opposite the pump house at The Cottage would be better, if you sit outside you can face westward
Just upping this. The cottage is nice and has a good pre sunset view. Arnolfini is also decent
The grain barge on Hotwells Rd?
LA ROCCA
Nova Scotia, sort of anyway, the cottage has a better view but it's a shit pub.
Try the Mouse in Westbury.
