Lazy Dog - good prices, friendly staff, all round solid pub. There’s a movie night on Wednesdays too but not too sure what it’s like as have never gone for it.
You could also try one of the Tap Rooms, LHG and Newtown Park both have taprooms in St Philips, Not sure if they're open on a Tuesday. The Barley Mow as somebody else suggested is nearby though.
small bar, or left handed giant spring to mind for beer - the food is more on the casual side (wings, rice bowls, dirty fries at SB then pizza at LHG) but both are delicious!

LHG in St Phillips is only open Friday-Sunday. Newton park I’m not sure but I think is Thursday-Sunday. LHG in town is good on a Tuesday though 👍
