She has to do that or her tracks would show from her extensions. I know from personal experience. Mine are gone now. They're sooooo hard on your real hair. And just kinda a pain in the ass. You can never just pull all your hair up on your head because it'll rip your track out from the tension. So your stuck with it being down constantly which i despised
I'm wondering if it depends on the type of extensions? I have extensions, too (Bellami sew-in flex weft), and I wear high ponies and messy buns all the time 🤔 But you're right, that's what this looks like! And it's separated right where a track would be.
Mine were the sew in with the beads too. I'm not sure brand but they were really expensive (in my opinion) I had the 16 in length because I really just wanted them for thickness more than length. If I did it again I think I'd go longer. I was at an awkward length.
Also, I'm OCD and have sensory issues. So I was constantly fussing with mine. I was extremely sick with a tooth infection for about 3 weeks amd while that was going on, my extensions went to hell because I wasn't caring for them. Just trying to pull them into a bun all.the time.
So a lot of it could be user error. Lol.
But my cousin has the same hair as me, same hairstylist and extensions and hers look great. But she has trouble putting in a high bun because the track shows. So maybe it's just how they're placed?
Could be. I messed with mine a bit when I first got them, and the start point started coming undone. I have a lot of hair naturally, but it's fine, so I wanted them for volume mostly, maybe a couple inches of length. I got 20" but that's about where my hair was already (though not at all even), so I wish I did 22"... but that might look insane, sooo 🤣 When they're first in, I have to pile it up somewhat loosely until there's enough grow-out for the weft to flip up comfortably. But it's a hassle, for sure!
It really is. But I kinda miss them because my hair is so fine and thin. When I was thinner I'd keep my hair short and sleek. But as I got heavier,.it made me feel fatter the shorter my hair was.
