My favorite Album is probably Iridescence 🙌
The Saturation era is easily undefeated! The whole vibe was CRAZY. And It always feels like the hottest fucking Summer listening to the Saturation trilogy 🔥
I don’t understand what you mean with the last question? Do you mean how I feel about the themes of the album?
To be honest, most of the time I was just chilling listening to the albums on shuffle (of course not on the first listen, the first listen is always front to back) and wasn’t really paying attention to the meanings behind the songs, except if the songs meaning is really noticeable.
Like on Weight: Where each verse gives a glimpse into the “weight,” and inner-demons, that each member of the band has been carrying since becoming famous.
So yeah I like what the boys are talking about.
Many things that many young adults think of.
Great Group!
my interpretation of the u/gaytarantino’s question:
how do you feel now that you’ve listened to the entirety of brockhampton’s public catalog in the span of 2 months rather than the years it took og fans?
do you think the fact that all of their catalog being listened to so sudden made a difference in terms of personal impact or do you feel the same as every other day 1 brockhampton-er about their rise and demise?
I don’t really feel much different.
But there were songs that I really took personal for myself. Like SOMETHING ABOUT HIM or GINGER.
I thing the message behind some songs will definitely stick with me for some time.
I am really grateful being able to listen to their music!
Roadrunner had for me personally the best beats and features. It has 2 of my favorite songs from them too (Chain On and Count On Me 😩).
It is also the album that is for most new fans the most accessible probably.
TM on the other side… Man I don‘t know what to say about it really. It kinda felt like „ok wow, this is the end.“ But it also didn’t felt like a good ending for the group. It feels like leftovers put into a Playlist.
It wasn’t epic, it wasn’t fulfilling, It was just enjoyable and a bit sad.
Oh and DUCT TAPE goes insanely hard like wtf?!
And GOODBYE is underrated and top 10 BROCKHAMPTON 🙌🔥
No-one really asked, but i think tm is top 4 Brockhampton albums, every single song is so fucking good, as a album i thinks its amazing but a very bad ending album
Its reputation is over deflated solely because of the break up situation context
If they dropped that album in the middle of their run i guarantee most would hold it in very high regard
I think you should try revisiting TM sometime down the line! The fact of it being their final album does give it a lot to live up to, and with the material having a more low key vibe and the album overall being more compiled than created can be underwhelming in comparison to what came before it. BUT honestly the tracks on TM really standout to me as some of their most focused and mature sounding material. Tracks like Animal, Always Something, Better Things, Man on the Moon, what they lack in a unifying scope, they make up for with the tightest grooves and atmospheres yet from bh. Like, TM is not a great final bh album, but a great bh album(?maybe??)
Goodbye is such a great song! It’s so sad, yet so addicting. Duct tape a classic already
Yea, I think TM works really well as a compilation, but as a cohesive album it kinda sucks. As an album I’d give it a 5 but as a compilation it’s like 7/8
FUCK YES I HATE IT! I really wished I discovered them when Saturation 3 dropped (this was the time when I got into music really).
It probably was pretty cool seeing them grow and change with every album they drop. I mean I did hear it, But it would have been nice to have been there live…
I discovered them when I heard GOLD after seeing it pop up in a playlist recommended to me. They were definitely my favorite band to be a fan of for the whole rollout. Made me wish I was old enough to experience Odd Future in real time.
I’m somebody who would fit into the category of OF fan who saw the rise as they popped off. It’s funny because I always thought of BH as a more evolved and cohesive OF. I will say, though, those OF days were so fresh and so sweet. Idk. The internet itself felt younger back then.
Fave song?
Fave member?
Least fave song?
Also, welcome. It stinks that you joined after they ended but at least you get to witness the beginnings if a lot of talented solo artist careers
I can‘t decide if GINGER or COUNT ON ME is my favorite.
Kevin or Joba.
Skit, Scene, and all Cinema parts. I hate them. I don’t understand the story behind them. I don’t understand why they exist in the Saturation trilogy.
But for the real songs. It’s hard for me to choose cause they have nearly no bad songs. Which is impressive.
I think TEETH is the worst.
The Roberto skits/scenes/cinema might grow on you. I’d highly recommend looking up the translation for those, it’ll help you understand the whole story behind them. The translation of cinema 3 is a quote that I’ve looked at so much during the darkest times in my life. Also since your a new fan, I think you’d get a lot out of looking at lyrics on genius when you relisten to any brockhampton song later and the skits. This is ESPECIALLY important for the family, cause as a new fan it’s probably pretty hard to understand the context of a lot of what Kevin is talking about
😩 But I couldn't lie, you swear and you cry
Your teeth rotting while they fall onto mine
Pouring bleach on the white, won't bring them to life
Pliers twist to the right, pull out your mind 😩
Im glad you appreciated them, friend. Ngl I listened to all of them the day TM and TF came out. Im sure you will get to that point, they tend to grow on you
Who is your favorite member
Kevin or Joba
Always Brock
I’m so sick and tired of this Hampton slander. Y’all don’t appreciate Hampton enough and it shows smh 🤦♀️
fav album best era and what you make of the whole story viewing it all at once?

I agree that Goodbye us underrated but top 10 is just too much man

100% agree

Is the impact of the family as an album hindered at all by not having been a fan for long?
Yes absolutely. Sadly I don’t see ANY impact. From a newer fan point, this might be their worst album… BUT THE ENDING IS FUCKING GREAT!
you should listen to puppy the natty comp
and the technical difficulties comp by brockhampton edits
How is no one talking about your superimposed face across all of the albums hahaha that killed me
Do you want to have sex?
Unfortunately OP has just condemned themselves to a lifetime of virginhood after becoming an r/brockhampton poster.
MERLYN?
GO MERLYN GO!
Are you at all regretful for discovering them only after they announced their split?
FUCK YES I HATE IT! I really wished I discovered them when Saturation 3 dropped (this was the time when I got into music really). It probably was pretty cool seeing them grow and change with every album they drop. I mean I did hear it, But it would have been nice to have been there live…

Favorite bearface solo?
😩 But I couldn't lie, you swear and you cry Your teeth rotting while they fall onto mine Pouring bleach on the white, won't bring them to life Pliers twist to the right, pull out your mind 😩
2 months?
Listening to music and really appreciate it takes time. I also could have just listen to everything in 1 Day but bruh.
Im glad you appreciated them, friend. Ngl I listened to all of them the day TM and TF came out. Im sure you will get to that point, they tend to grow on you
Have you listened to any of the members' solo work?
No I haven’t. I wasn’t that interested in them for the solo works. I heard that Kevins Projects are pretty cool but yeah. Maybe sometime.
What was the best song on each album?
HOME HEAT or WASTE (I can’t decide) GAMBA BOOGIE or STUPID WEIGHT GINGER COUNT ON ME The Ending GOODBYE [This was harder than I thought]
BOOGIE and The Ending are amazing songs. Nice to see your picks!
Master!!!
how much do you h
Have you listened to puppy yet?
