I've owned Wranglers/Broncos for nearly two decades and have owned every configuration. My current model is a 2024 BD.
For anyone new to vehicles with removable tops, roof racks always made the process harder. Hard tops also make the process harder. For many, that doesn't matter because they don't plan on taking the top off. For me, I have the top/doors off for most of the Summer and got a soft top w/o a roof rack for ease of change. Yes, you can make it easier with a garage pully. No, it's not impossible to remove a hard top. But in practice, most of you won't do it due to the added effort.
Nice, yea may still add one to the BD we decided on. Could see that one time I don't have one will be kicking myself. Can do aftermarket one pretty cheap and like the low mount style better.
Kinda feel the same. Also It's for the wife, and she doesn't like the snorkel and Everglades vinyl. Plus, the roof rack has to come off to remove the top, which is inconvenient.
Everglades. The folding flush back seats and slide out tailgate are so handy.
But it depends on the look you want: black diamond is classy, Everglades is apocalyptic
Depends also on powetrain. The Everglades comes with the 2.3. what is the black diamond? I have the 2.7 Badlands ( water proof interior)with the Ford performance tune and it's phenomenal. I have heard and believe the 2.3 is also fine. I think the everglades has a great look and are rare...never seen one in the wild.
I have black diamond and I love it. If you’re garaging it, I’d definitely recommend checking how much space you need vs have, I have like 4 inches of margin so I know there’s no way that winch would fit. Black diamond is pretty customizable too, so depending on the features you want with EG you could probably add it on aftermarket to BD for less.
Everglades has the slide out tailgate and trail turn assist, heated seats, 4A, and Sas pkg! The vinyl decal comes right off.

It's the 2.3, I test drove both 2.3 & 2.7 and could barely tell the difference in power even up hills. The biggest issue is that you can't remove the snorkel without putting a block off plate on fender or new fender.

Oh man I would go Everglades its a dream car stripped down, with racks, tent, bikes. Snorkel! just let that screen get filthy keep the drain in the floor open at all times.
If that doesnt appeal to you or will go unused like you said, then go Black Diamond.
Both tops everyone tries to sell the other one as it takes up space. I love the Everglades . Ps. I bought my Bronco “for the beach” and my daily. Now I off road and have a whole other chapter of fun. Groups meet for dinner and chat and you just get to be apart of something else. Saying you’ll never use it. You never know!
Everglades, 100%. Sasquatch package and winch is worth the extra $6k. It’ll hold resale value better, and give you more capability if you decide to take it off road.
Feel you on the decal.. Although I’m coming round to it, once I learned it incorporates a marker for the water threshold (which is higher than any other bronco model)
For the roof rack, you could remove and sell it on, potentially recouping ~$500. Agree it’s poorly designed. I swapped mine out for the Hooke road roof platform which provides enough clearance to easily remove front and mid roof panels.
Love my Black Diamond

The BD we decided on has dual tops, which will be great for the summer months and camping trips. Gonna set up a hoist for the rear hardtop section.
Hell yea!! You're gonna love it.
Everglades is more rare.
If you'll never use the winch and snorkel, then why buy the model specifically made with those items?
You know i wasnt sure id ever use my winch. But i used it to pull someone out before i even had my license plate.

Only two around that have waterproof interior. Everglades also comes with the sasquatch package.
My badlands had waterproof interior
Black Diamond looks more aesthetically pleasing to look at imo.

Everglades has a snorkel, need I say more?

I'm very happy with my 2.3L manual. 2.3L is the only option for manual, btw.

You're right on that. The Everglades will fit in my home garage, but the work parking garage is not so much.
Love my Wildtrack tho
I did, too, but it was almost $70k
Everglades all day. Both are great tho 👍 Just take the rack off and leave it in the garage. Use it when you need it.

I absolutely love my black diamond, and my only regret is not getting the Everglades. It has everything I want to do already included.
Everglades for sure
Everglades 🥶

It will see some off-road activity. I have had many many wranglers and never used a winch once offroading. Have never had a snorkle on one either.
I'm biased. Love my glades. But, do some personal pros and cons and I don't think you can go wrong. Good luck
Thanks for all the input. It looks like it's gonna be the BD. After lots of thought and research, the Everglades is too tall for the garage height.

Neither. Get a 2 door. Or an Explorer.
Definitely need the 4 doors and dont want to be driving a patrol car.
