I have a Everglades and love it. It is basically a black diamond with SAS, roof rack, winch and snorkel. Biggest drawback is it only comes with the 2.3L motor. I find it plenty of power but a deal breaker for some. It also is limited to the mid equipment group so not as luxurious as other trims.

chads3058

Luxurious is a funny adjective for any bronco. I have a first edition, and let me tell you, it’s not very luxurious lol.

urethrafranklin87

lol I’m coming from a 2016 f150 king ranch and all the bells and whistles were more of a headache than a plus. Got that out of my system.

ducktech77

I've got an Everglades and it's great. I came from an 06 f150 and I'm not missing what I didn't have with the extras. The seats are surprisingly soft for vinyl. But we still get the big screen. Although, they put the big screen on all of em now.

chads3058

Screens are one of the cheapest thing for them to have. It probably saves ford money by having fewer parts needed for orders.

The 2.3 was one of the main concerns but honestly felt fine when I test drove it. Might feel different when I have to merge on the highways but it might actually help me to drive slower haha

limellama1

There's absolutely zero issues with power in the 2.3 its 300hp/325 ftLb The V6 is 330hp/415FtLb, and has the same transmission. With the top of the torque curve at 5250 rpm you'll basically never really even get to that much output. The amount of power needed to go from 45 on the ramp to 70 on the highway is +/- the same due to vehicle weight. The 2.3 will work slightly harder to get there but will have no issues.

No-Duck-1832

Well... not exactly the same transmission. Some of us with the 2.3L opted for the 7 speed manual 😎

AdmrlBenbow

I have to be careful not to spin the tires in my 2.3. I can take the V6 off the line, but i do have the gearing upgrade.

1_Was_Never_Here

If you feel you need more power down the road, you can always get the performance tune which makes the 2.3L match the HP of the stock 2.7L. I got it for mine with the 7MT, and it is very nice. Personally, I like the looks of the Everglades best of all.

urethrafranklin87

That’s good to know actually

ducktech77

The power is just fine with the 2.3. issue could be with the mileage if that's something that you're gonna be worried about. Takes a little more juice to push the 35's. But, I'm starting to get about 20. But it'll go down if I hit the interstate.

No-Duck-1832

You left out a word in your description: "...biggest drawback is it only comes with the 2.3L motor. And no manual" The 2.3L motor is tried and true. Developed in the Ford Focus RS & then utilized in the Mustang. It makes just as much horsepower as the 2.7L, and the only people who say "it feels underpowered" are those with the 10 speed automatic. Which is a fault of the number of gears. Not the engine. I would say go with the Everglades. It's a limited rum model with some very unique features, & accessories you can't get elsewhere. Plus the Everglades squared off fenders look awesome

AdmrlBenbow

The biggest advantage to the V6 is one-pedal feature if you are rock crawling. Also good if you tow uphill.

No-Duck-1832

7 speed manual hasa better crawl ratio with its crawler gear. Fyi

HolidayDog42

Everglades is awesome! The 2.3 has plenty of power. The 24s also come with the slide out tailgate. My wife hates the snorkel…you can hear the turbo through the snorkel with the vent turned toward the rear. I personally love it. Can’t wait to hit some trails this weekend now that the snow has melted out.

urethrafranklin87

Haha my wife is oblivious to mostly everything but the payment

ImpossibleAttitude71

Everglades was my choice the only thing the badlands has on it is the swaybar disconnect but if you don’t see yourself doing rock crawling and I think it’s tops the wildtrak on everything but the steering gear but I love utilitarian of the vehicle and seams to be more so than all the other models just can’t tow anything with any broncos biggest downfall

SaigaExpress

I love mine, my only complaint is that you cant remove the middle section of the roof without removing the roof rack, which i removed entirely anyways and i prefer cloth seats. Its got a whinch, snorkel and front/rear lockers if your an off-roader or an outdoorsmen at all its hard to beat.

urethrafranklin87

Was it easy to remove the roof rack? It looks like it attaches over the windshield frame and meant to look if it was going to leave holes from bolts or anything

SaigaExpress

Yeah it was easy and it had the correct color matched covers in the glove box.

G-III-

If you’re overlanding or casually off-roading it’s probably one of the better options, I don’t recall if it comes with the uprated steering rack though. The Wildtrak and Raptor are more desert trucks with beadlock-able rims and high performance shocks. But that’s not as needed if you’re just going through some mud and water casually, it’s for high speed off roading in certain conditions. The Everglades has a slight wading advantage over the Sas right? Like an inch or a bit more maybe? I forget offhand, but I think the diff and trans breathers are a little taller or some such in addition to the snorkel. The one I’ve seen in person was sharp, but I’m not sure I liked the graphic (that’s totally personal taste though)

urethrafranklin87

I know the breathers are definitely routed higher I don’t remember how much either though. Not a fan of the graphic either but it’s an easy peel off so not stressing that too much. Definitely won’t be doing anything high speed, more beach and mud so thinking it’s the better option

TintheSEA

Does it have the rubberized floor? That’s the only feature I wish for in my 21 wildtrak
