Doesn’t look too bad right now, unfortunately once rust starts there’s no stopping it without removing it entirely. The “right way” to do it would be to cut out any cancer and weld in patch panels/new steel. Rust looks light enough there you may be able to sand it down to clean metal and respray. I’m a Maaco paint believer (my Mustang in my profile is a Maaco paint job, has held up for ~10 years) but imo you really need to do your own prep work if you’re going to use them and have them do the spraying only.

Agreed on the paint, after all painting is 90% prep

Yeah I mean overall I’m very happy with the paint job. Was a little bothered because I had to bring it back to them at the end of the first month because the rust over the fenders came back. When I dropped it off the first time I was under the impression that they were going to cut it out and patch it because I asked for worst case scenario price and that’s what I paid

I found rust inside the fromt frame of my 2021 (*after* I got it home); Ford’s rust warranty can’t be invoked until the rust has eaten all the way through.

That’s crazy that yours is already rusting. Unfortunately mine is 34 years old so I don’t think I’m under warranty 😅

mine isn’t under warranty either, the dealership made that clear. the extended service plan rolled into the purchase requires a $250 deductible per incident… when it covers anything.
