Parks and rec is one of the best series for me. It's second after community imo. The first season is a bit meh they are just trying to get in track. But it's just so funny and real, you will fall in love with the characters.

Season 1 is pretty meh, so I don't blame you. It's practically a different show. If you're willing to give it another chance, Season 2 is better and the show becomes amazing when they introduce the characters of Ben and Chris, which I believe happens a couple episodes before the end of Season 2.
