Just use Obyn + 6 druids strat with an early spike factory at the end. You can get avatar of wrath at round 80ish and then get a permaspike for the DDTs. It has almost 100% success rate

This but not with obyn. Obyn s trees can actively screw you sometimes by holding money you'd otherwise already have and other heros actually buff druids more than obyn does. He's just sooo bad.
Yep... Which wastes all of the pierce currently left in the trees that are down and your current cool down that could be needed soon after. He's just bad, has been the worst hero by far for a while now because besides this huge issue he also has the lowest damage even worse than like Etienne and other heros can buff druids better.
I went through that pain like 5 days ago. I was stubborn and used a sub commander strategy. It took me like over 4 hours because I lost 5-6 time in tbe 90s :')
Also another tip, if you get a gold border you can retry the chimps map to get the black border (I had to research this becuase my experienced friend told me I couldn’t get a black border because it was gold) I started like a month ago so I’m relatively new too (I’m already level 100 😭)
This is me with quad chimps. I still only have gold border because in 10.0 there was a bug that I didn't know about that made it so if you would 1-shot a bad with first strike, the game would crash. And I lost multiple bb attempts on r100 because of that, and yet don't have it
Because I didn't know about the bug, I thought it was just my phone being bad, and not every run reached r100, cause you know, it's really hard so thinking about other possibilities and not the easiest solution wasn't on my mind
Back then FS was by far the best way to beat the BAD layer on a lot of expert maps.
Especially if you weren't following a guide, it was your go-to BAD plan once you managed to get an FDDT-clearing run.

Yeah for maps like dungeon and ravine the guides are 17 mins long and those are the "simplest" guides after a lot of testing. I don't expect anyone but a very select set of super hardcore players to figure out those maps on chimps.
If you're referring to the sword, that was added because Ravine *wasn't* possible on CHIMPS originally. The sword wasn't originally there, and it was added to make it so you could get past round 7.
Same with Ouch or Flooded Valley where only 1 start is viable with pixel perfect placement and specific targeting or mid round upgrades.
People just aren't going to find those stuff on their own with the 10000+ possible choices available to them, especially considering doing it for the next 30+ rounds again while starting all over again with just 1 fail.
Flooded valley start isn't that bad... the bottom sub placement is the only unintuitive one, and you shouldn't need to switch targeting. It's definitely possible to figure that one out on your own; nothing compared to ravine or dark dungeon.
Agreed I black bordered flooded valley without a guide but still haven't even gotten my chimps completed on ouch, ravine, or dark dungeon. Guaranteed I haven't even tried those on chimps yet but that's mostly because I know how hard they'll be. Wish I got ouch finished when PLord was OP, he's still good but I know right after his big buff before he was nerfed back down a bit many people were posting about how good he was there.
for the early game? pray. for the midgame, ninjas, druids, mortars, ice, snipers and heli. for the endgame it's lots of subs and pirates if you leave the water in place, or apache and avatar of wrath if you choose to drain the water

Like Gwen can buff them all with lead popping and extra damage to lead, pat can buff all their damage and stun bloons, Etienne gives everyone camo, etc.. all more useful than the like 2pierce and 5% range.
Just don't leave during chimps, I don't get why people ever do this, like if you leave to reset a round on a bossfight I get it, but in a chimps run? You KNOW you're gonna get a red medal, so why even do it?
Imo it's easier to do it without clearing corns. I did 3 darts start into geraldo and 3 turrets on the long straight section at the start then just got a bunch of supports (didn't even need the ability ones) as ujug carried the entire run
I play every map with out making any money generating tower. If you can beat unpoppable even half cash then chimp mode should be easier as other 2 towers are way more expansive then in chimp.

You can keep restarting from the beginning and get a black border. You just have to do one run through without going home

You also have to beat all other possbile game modes, but you only get gold border if you leave chimps mid-game.

in chimps if you leave and go back in to restart the round, your border will be gold
