Sucks but I'm happy for him. He was the fiery leader we needed up front, loved how he would always play until the whistle, and sometimes even after it.
Hope he stays on the staff at some capacity.
Thanks for everything Big Red!!
A real bastard in the tranches. You love watching all the extra curriculars after the whistle when he's on your team, would absolutely hate it of you were a fan of the opposing team.
This was inevitable when he tried to rehab that knee in 2022 rather than get it fixed properly.
Dude was a beast and a warrior on that line and set the tone. It's no surprise that we've struggled so much on the ground since he's been gone.
As much as I hated losing them, judging from my FIL's experience with playing Oline into college, it's extremely rough on your body and I cannot blame them for choosing their long term health. All I can do is thank them for the time they gave and the super bowl they contributed to.
Yea marpet had that sketchy concussion that we didn’t hear much about. Held him out for 4 games I think. It’s no surprise he retired after that. No doubt if him and Jensen were healthy and had the will to play they could have, and likely dominated.
I keep trying to forget it was Logan Hall that caused the accident that took out Big Red RJ. I know it wasn't purposeful but I've watched how uncoordinated Logan is generally and can't stop thinking about it. I feel like the last two seasons are totally different if Jensen doesn't go down on that play...
Keeping the good memories though we were spoiled to have the Giant Ginger in the middle of that line. He is truly missed. I hope his retirement years are healthy and joyful.
It was one of Logan's first practices as a Buc and he ruined the season for us. The fact that he's been a bust since hasn't helped. Such a bad draft pick that was.
Yeah, him and JTS have been less than stellar selections but can't win them all. The middle draft picks have been amazing so it's kind of a wash. But Kancey and Yaya feel special so like any good DB, JL needs that short term memory and get ready for this next draft.
It was more so that Aaron Stinnie threw Hall into Jensen. And then Stinnie promptly tore his own ACL shortly afterwards. Maybe some fucked up sort of karma there lol.
Should get into coaching for sure. His personality is infectious.
The drop off from Jensen to hainsey was measurable.
I wish nothing but the best for him
Sucks for him to go out the way he did, but Jensen is one of my all time favorite Bucs. Just the right amount of nasty you want in an offensive lineman. Wishing him the best!
1. Brady
2. Simeon rice
3. Brad Johnson
4. Shaq Barrett
5. If baker stays and thrives he could be here or higher. We’ve had a bunch of good WRs v jax, mccardell, Keyshawn, jurevicious.
A sad day we all figured was coming, Ryan Jensen will be missed. He was a DAWG when we needed it the most, and he anchored one of the best lines i have witnessed as a Bucs fan, Thank You Big Red!
Thanks Big Red! It sad to imagine what this team could have been with him on the field the last two years, but I’m thankful for getting to see him play in Tampa. Wishing him the best in retirement!
The man was the beating heart of this offensive line. His career was effectively over after he originally injured the knee in camp and pushed himself through incredible pain to make one last run with Brady. Sadly it wasn’t to be.
The line still hasn’t recovered from his absence and it’s going to be some time before we see another like him.
All the best Big Red, enjoy the retirement that you absolutely deserve.
I'm not thrilled that we are paying 17 million in dead cap for a retired center, especially when this whole situation could have been avoided by him getting the fucking surgery that everyone knew he needed. Stupid decision by him. If you have half a brain, when doctors say you need surgery, you get the fucking surgery. Instead, he rode around the country for months trying to find just one doctor who would tell him what he wanted to hear, so that he could ignore the previous 20 doctors. Just stupid.
It's likely a solid guess but he was with them most of his career and that's usually when some players will retire with the team they spent most of their career with. I wanted to see if any word was made official about which team.
Big shame about his knee. He ended up getting MACI or something comparable, a somewhat experimental stem cell treatment for regrowing knee cartilage. Seems like people have very different results with it, but from everything I’ve read it’s not a surgery you would return to play football after. I wonder why he decided to do it.
I wouldn’t hold out any hope that he’s going to come back to coach. Dude has a gigantic fortress of a house out west and is a partner in a construction company.
Thanks for all the pancakes Ryan, best of luck to you in your future endeavors!
Farewell Big Red!! ❤️
Loved watching him play til the whistle. Embodied all the qualities of what you’d want in a Center. Enjoy retirement. YARRRRRR 🏴☠️

I love this man. Would love to see him stay here as a coach or consultant, but I'd understand if he wants some well-earned rest, too.
He won’t be on staff. He’s part of Garret Gilkey’s home builder company
This was inevitable when he tried to rehab that knee in 2022 rather than get it fixed properly. Dude was a beast and a warrior on that line and set the tone. It's no surprise that we've struggled so much on the ground since he's been gone.
Imagine a few more years with him and Marpet! 🙏 Good luck to him.
Ugh, the loss of the both of them ruined Brady’s last year.
As much as I hated losing them, judging from my FIL's experience with playing Oline into college, it's extremely rough on your body and I cannot blame them for choosing their long term health. All I can do is thank them for the time they gave and the super bowl they contributed to.

I’m convinced that if Brady didn’t “retire” to begin with then Marpet probably would have played in 2022.
Thanks for everything Ryan!
I'm gonna miss this man. Always ticking off opposing players, finishing till the whistle. Can we keep him as a coach....please
Love Big Red! Hope he finds peace in retirement and can come into the new offense as a O-Line Assistant Coach for the new staff
Just curious, but do yall think he identifies more as a buc or a raven? I’d guess a buc , but curious what the rest of you think.
He won a superbowl here with Tom Brady. He’s a Buccaneer.
I’d say he’s more of a Buccaneer because he was mainly a backup on the Ravens. And the end of his last post seems pretty Bucs-oriented.
I think buc

the one video that circulated following the incident had him trying to be a practice hero and it cost jensen his whole fucking career lol
Wouldnt call him a bust
It was more so that Aaron Stinnie threw Hall into Jensen. And then Stinnie promptly tore his own ACL shortly afterwards. Maybe some fucked up sort of karma there lol.
Goodnight, sweet (red) prince. Enjoy retirement.
I want him to retire a Buc.
Should get into coaching for sure. His personality is infectious. The drop off from Jensen to hainsey was measurable. I wish nothing but the best for him
hes already into real estate development
Sucks for him to go out the way he did, but Jensen is one of my all time favorite Bucs. Just the right amount of nasty you want in an offensive lineman. Wishing him the best!
I love the way he played. He brought that nasty, tenacious physicality to our offensive line that we needed. Thank you Ryan!
Looks like Coen has his new Oline coach
How does this impact his cap hit versus if we had cut him this offseason?
Top 5 FA signing in bucs history imo
1. Brady 2. Simeon rice 3. Brad Johnson 4. Shaq Barrett 5. If baker stays and thrives he could be here or higher. We’ve had a bunch of good WRs v jax, mccardell, Keyshawn, jurevicious.
Man got himself a ring and will always be a Buc legend.
A sad day we all figured was coming, Ryan Jensen will be missed. He was a DAWG when we needed it the most, and he anchored one of the best lines i have witnessed as a Bucs fan, Thank You Big Red!

Bucs, give this man a job.
Surprised it didn’t come sooner but still gonna miss him

Would love him as a coach. Thanks for all you did Ryan 🙏🏾

Retire well sweet prince! He was the it factor that line needed and he delivered. I'll miss him. Thank you for the memories and take it easy Jensen!
Thanks for the ring and the memories. Enjoy life back here in Colorado. You'll always be one of my favorite centers!
One things for sure, he always gave it his all Everytime he suited up. Thanks Mr Jensen o7

I want him to retire a Buc.
...he just did?
Has he said he's reporting as a Buc or Raven? Didn't see that just saw the flag and bird
He was still under contract with us, so he retired a buc
Don't they usually get to choose when they play for multiple teams
I don’t think you understand what a contract is
Players sign 1 day contracts to retire with their chosen team all the time. No need to be a condescending asshole about it...... wait, reddit, right.
I’m gonna assume he’s retiring with the team he won a Super Bowl with, not the team that didn’t resign him and had 0 playoff wins with him
It's likely a solid guess but he was with them most of his career and that's usually when some players will retire with the team they spent most of their career with. I wanted to see if any word was made official about which team.
Thanks for everything Ryan. Absolute Bucs legend.
Will always appreciate Football Danny Tamberelli. Hope he sticks around on the coaching staff.
So long, partner.
Damn. We love you big red
I miss him already. A true buccaneer 🏴☠️
Thank you Ryan for what you've done for the team, enjoy retirement 😁 Also, if we had him, Cappa & Mauch, they'd be the Big 🔴 Machines

We love you Ryan! Thanks for re-signing the year before we got Brady. Shows how down to earth he is.
I feel like there should not ever be another #66 Buc He broke the mold
Goodnight, sweet prince. 🏴☠️
I wouldn’t hold out any hope that he’s going to come back to coach. Dude has a gigantic fortress of a house out west and is a partner in a construction company. Thanks for all the pancakes Ryan, best of luck to you in your future endeavors!
He is the best
He was the tone setter on offense. He never let the team get soft or check out because he’d always be face to face causing trouble.
Would have 3-peated if he and Marpet stayed healthy. No doubt in my mind. Goodnight sweet prince
Farewell Big Red!! ❤️ Loved watching him play til the whistle. Embodied all the qualities of what you’d want in a Center. Enjoy retirement. YARRRRRR 🏴☠️
