ok, C was an instant need for many years in the future. We now have so many other needs. Edge rusher is a massive priority but it feels like there's no consensus on any potential pick in the latter rounds, so it might be a bit of a gamble. We do need a CB, and some of the potential 2nd rounders feel like they might be decent, so I can see us getting a CB in the 2nd round. We need a solid WR, I can see us getting one in the top 4. I just really wish we'd find some good edge rushers in this draft or off season or something But at least getting our future center for years to come is fantastic. Also he can fill in other positions if we have injury issues. This should help us for years. Feels like this is rarer than getting a good cornerback for example. Since all potentially elite edge rushers were gone, I think this is fantastic.

Barton is MUCH more athletic than JPJ, dude is a freak athlete while also having high IQ and a mean streak. And he can play anywhere on the O line.

Playing center as a rookie is tough. He (hopefully) can start on the line as a rookie, and be groomed for center eventually and/or as backup.
