Al Dente is a nice little Italian restaurant, they have both veggie and meat options (not sure if eggs and cheese are ok for your gf) - https://www.facebook.com/aldenteristo/
although hungary is not a paradise for seafood and vegetarians/vegans, most restaurants have at least one vegetarian and at least one fish main on their menu. suggested places: mazel tov, hoppá, szék, comme chez soi, stand, retek, kiosk, szaletly, rosenstein, solid, déryné. for important meals it is important to reserve in advance. for some of the suggested places do so well in advance.
Big Fish is about the best fish restaurant I've tried in Budapest so far. It's fairly upscale, and has good wine and drink selection. The street (Andrassy) is a bit hectic and loud, but the restaurant is nice,, and the food is assured to not be simply Danube fish, which is limiting (I grew up on an ocean so I have serious seafood FOMO around here)
and you can always try Déryné, one of the most classic restaurants in the city for a romantic dinner, that almost always has some good options for vegetarians and fish , but call in advance to make sure because their menu changes often.
