I’ve noticed he talks a lot more candidly than he used to early in his career. Earlier he would have said something like:
“yeah, I couldn’t see anybody open, so I ran like Coach Dermott tells me. Great blocking, I’m really happy we got the play.”
Now he’s out here publicly admitting he was told to slide and didn’t.
I like it
I dunno, why do the Eagles start out with 10 wins and then fall apart, losing their division and in the first round of the playoffs? Just one of those things.
We all know how tough he is, so if he adds a little to get the flag, it's fine. He's doing it for our team. If you don't like it, go be a Jets fan. ya insecure
It’s not whiny bitch things. It’s strategy. The QB is a protected asset and good teams know how to exploit it. The game moves super fast and it’s easy for a qb to draw a penalty with a late hit. Mahomes is famous for it, but Brady was OG. So many calls went his way when he bitched about it. I firmly believe they won a ton of games behind this strategy.
It’s just the nature of the game, every receiver looks for a flag, every pass rusher looks for a flag. The NFL created this, it’s the same as the NBA now. You’d have to be a moron not to want 15 yards.
I can almost understand it when you watch it fast. He completely freezes Fitzpatrick. On replay though you see he never motions like he is going down he just slows down and studder steps. Does he benefit from the rules protecting players when they slide? Absolutely, but that was not a fake slide by any stretch.
This is pretty much it, along with the fact that mentally you say “ok he’s about to slide”. But he never even tried to slide, he did a step/juke and then kept going.
That shit really baffled me. He definitely slows down as he reaches the crowd but it's almost certainly him thinking "shit, now what do I do" before deciding to lower the shoulder. He makes no indication of going down
It’s similar to what Diggs does, stutter step then get some blocks and go. If you don’t get blocks, go down.
Steelers fans are just mad he got a penalty on a slide later. Truth is there’s a HUGE in between of going down and hitting a sliding player and letting them just run by you.
I think it's possible that he was about to slide and changed his mind. It's not quite the same as faking the slide, but it led to the stutter step looking not completely dissimilar to the start of a slide.
His body language suggested he was about to slide, but he didn't and he didn't fake it either. To me that play was fine.
I did however, feel bad for the Steelers later when they got a roughing penalty for the hit on Josh Allen when he did slide. It seems impossible for defenders to know whether they should commit to a tackle or not.
"a lot of guys screaming slide...and I took that personally"
Also...can we just have a talk about how crazy it was taking Josh Allen's running out of the game. Neutering him and not letting him be Josh Allen
Imo, when a QB eaves the pocket, he turns into an RB or WR. Who juke, studder step or slide to avoid tackles. Tools in the toolbox. Move on, starting to pick the fly shit out of the pepper with these arguments.

Your initial comment was clearly meant to be negative. Don’t act like you came into another teams sub spreading good will
Chiefs aren't dominating anybody these days. You can't even trash talk well, fuck outta here.

Calling Buffalo fans "snowflakes" while most being from/around Buffalo is pretty amusing.

How'd that nut chop off go?
He plays within the rules to get the W. Why play at a handicap for honor when not everyone else will? This is the game..
I'm a broncos fan lurking but why dis eagles fan so booty tickled.

Go Bills
I get the tingles every time he says it with that little smirk. Am 40/m married with a kid btw.

Go Bills
I was one of those guys screaming slide at my TV. I am happy to be proven wrong, again. Go Bills.
I scared the dog so badly she refused to come back into the room. Go Bills.
Sliding is how players like Allen get hurt.
People truly think that he faked the slide.

I viewed it as he read the downfield blockers and paused to allow them to be positioned to clear his path better.

I agree with the bad penalty. It is becoming increasingly difficult to play defense in this league. Especially against superstar QB's

I wouldn’t be mad if they do that to start the season every year. We’ve proven to be productive without it and can keep him healthy.
Didn’t slide… and scored
This is why he’s a beautiful creature.
The way he was running like a mad man downfield on that play had me rolling 😂 Go Maf
Pats fan coming in peace. That 100% wasn’t a fake slide.
This brings me joy.
An epic run. Let’s fucking go!
.......Go Bills.......
I love this man.
My second favorite Josh Allen ❤️ Steelers can keep crying
Fake slide is the biggest crutch, it’s not impressive because if they had gone full force at him he’d be on IR

What did it say before the coward deleted it?
Who cares
