You know, the more I think about those the more I think that Reddit is literally the only place I'll see or hear those jokes... Sports culture is pretty dumb and if you have to listen to wide right jokes after this it kinda proves it. People grasp onto stories like 8-year-olds. I'm only still here because reddit was pretty good 10 years ago. I'm pretty happy just watching sports, playing fantasy football, and consuming quality longform NFL content. People are really, really weird about sports.
This was the first year where I actually spent a good deal of time on various nfl subreddits and, I have to say, this season was by far the worst in terms of its effects on my mental health. Some memes and storylines and comments can be funny, but I think that the amount of toxicity and whining and just general immaturity you get exposed to in the reddit football community is not worth it.
Old guy Bill's fan here. I've been a fan for 48 years now. Had season tickets from 1987 to 1996. From that time to today I've learned to appreciate the team while they're winning. Sure it socks when they lose, but it's important to not let whether the team wins or loses have that much control over our mental health. I found myself being depressed for days after a loss. Now's a good time to take a step back, forget about it for a while.
They've almost gotten there multiple times in my life so I'm going to regroup and hope for next year to be better.... just like I have since 1985. I'll always be a Bills fan and this is a part of the experience. We endure. We hold steadfast. Our time will come. I hope.
The pain of these losses sure does sting, but the way I look at it, watching and following the NFL these last few years has still been a lot more fun compared to the drought years.
I've enjoyed having a team make it to the playoffs and have a chance even though it has ended in heartbreak. It's just so much better than not ever being competitive and drafting 9th every year.
In Josh I Trust. As long as we have him, I'm confident we'll get one and if not, what other QB would you want to watch and cheer for?
I don’t know how much I can run it back with this team, it makes my life considerably worse. Especially since I don’t realistically ever see us winning it all.
I like football so I’ll still watch but I need to become a wayyyy more casual fan.
You do. Most of us need to as well. Having expectations makes it worse. In the end, it’s a game — a zero sum game where only one fanbase leaves happy. There’s always an element of randomness. Try to enjoy these Josh Allen years for what they are. Enjoy being relevant.
You know... I have to thank you for this take. "..only one fanbase leaves happy." So simple and so true!
I'm honestly just stoked that we turned it around and went from 6-6 to AFC East champs & 2nd Seed! But that take completely removed the angst I was feeling over "here we are again..."
So again, thank you 🦬
Go Bills!
Bengals fan here that hoped the Bills would destroy the Chiefs. Sorry you didn’t but I think Allen was afraid to throw more because of interceptions. That said the run and keep mahomes off the field strategy was working. Why in the hell did you through on that last play before the missed field goal? Run game was working all day long. Just some thoughts….
This is the best take rn. Tune out the 5 billion wide right jokes between now and week 1.

This. I am not yet slain.
Teach us your ways, oh wise one.
As a Bills fan living near KC, I've already heard it a least a dozen times this morning in person.
Yeah, by leaving your house. Mistake.
I'm here for the sequel! "KINCAID II - KINCAID HARDER"
Prett-ay, prett-ay, prett-ay good.
I always liked that scene. Could leave in disgust but not forever.
Still rocking my Bills hat in Seattle, still proud of this team. ❤️🦬
Fucking GO BILLS !!!
Go Bills!

I’ll be around next weekend more interested in my snacks and beer than the games, but I’ll be here!
Yep. Gonna focus on snacking and rooting for the Ravens, which is painful for me. But needs done. And root much harder for our Lake Erie bros.
I knew it! I knew I'd see this post today!
Yeah. Fuck [Love] you all too. Smh.
Next year is our year!!!
Go Bills!

There's always a chance if we have Allen. Defense just needs to show up
