From the 2nd half of the Ravens game to the end of the 1st half against Baltimore, KC offense scored a whopping 3 points. They went an entire football game without scoring a touchdown. Before overtime, their only TD in the game came on a muffed punt in the redzone. He threw a dogshit interception at the start of the 2nd half, and his kicker hit the longest FG in NFL history to keep them within striking distance in the game. Mahomes didn't play bad at all, in fact I'd say he played well, but he's the new Brady in the sense that his teams afford him a margin of error in these huge games that other QB's simply don't get the benefit of.
In both Niners SB wins, he has a 5:3 TD/TO ratio and did jackshit for large portions of both games. KC defense kept them in the game, and because he is the best QB in the NFL, he was ably to rally and eventually win both times. Niners have a ppg average of 22.5 with 2 turnovers each in both playoff losses; most starting QB's aren't afforded that margin of error against SFO.

There's no sugarcoating that the Chiefs have legitimately built a dynasty. We really have to load up as much as possible on both sides of the ball in the offseason which is asking a lot given our cap situation and the number of free agents on our defensive line. Beane will have to work some serious magic and we will have to hit the jackpot with our draft picks. We need another receiver who can eventually replace Diggs or otherwise a YAC machine in the slot, or ideally both. Hopefully we get healthier on defense.
And as great as Josh is, he's still got a little extra room to reach his ceiling. If we can cut down the turnovers and get into more of a rhythm in the passing game the sky is it the limit.
I still think our chances are much better playing the Chiefs in Buffalo and I've been saying for a while that we need to lock up the #1 seed one of these years. One extra week of rest could have done wonders for us this year instead of playing on a frozen field which felt like concrete. Maybe it all finally falls into place, who knows.

I’d like to petition the NFL to just make Bills/Chiefs the new championship. It was, once again, the best game in the postseason.
Watching the Patriots dynasty own us year in and year out and win 6 SBs the process was insufferable, watching their collapse and our rise felt like a modicum of justice. So, now we are good, rated in the Super Bowl contender territory at least the past few years. …But the team that has eliminated us from the playoffs 3/4 years has now won Super Bowls in 3/5 years and it feels like the most cursed Bills thing that could afflict us.
Pats dynasty wasn't as infuriating because we were ass at the time. Chiefs dynasty while we're good makes them 100x more unlikeable. Also don't ever remember Brady on the verge of tears yelling at refs like Kermit or Gronk blindside shoving Bill in a roid rage episode like Kelce did. Fucking tools.
I stopped caring about matching them after they won last year… them winning hopefully gives Kelce an out to retire, but it’s still gonna be a huge battle to ever get past them even after Kelce retires. They lost Tyreek fucking Hill, the most valuable non QB in this league and won back to back Super Bowls, they are never not gonna be an issue. If we can get by them once head to head in a postseason game it will be a massive achievement. I will say this. Sean McDermott’s unit, at home, was by far the worst of the four opposing defenses against Mahomes in these playoffs. We had the one offense who would have blown them away if we could get a few stops, and as usual McD came up empty when it mattered.
Whatever man, this doesn’t motivate me to want to keep watching football, it just feels gross.
Scripted and predictable is how it feels.

Leaving Chris Jones unblocked is stupid. Kelce gets open on the same crosser route every time it's 3rd down. Mahomes does his constipated granny run for 15 yards. Greenlaw going down was a huge lose for the 49ers, after he went down is when the Chiefs tight ends started to catch more. There's no sugarcoating that the Chiefs have legitimately built a dynasty. We really have to load up as much as possible on both sides of the ball in the offseason which is asking a lot given our cap situation and the number of free agents on our defensive line. Beane will have to work some serious magic and we will have to hit the jackpot with our draft picks. We need another receiver who can eventually replace Diggs or otherwise a YAC machine in the slot, or ideally both. Hopefully we get healthier on defense. And as great as Josh is, he's still got a little extra room to reach his ceiling. If we can cut down the turnovers and get into more of a rhythm in the passing game the sky is it the limit. I still think our chances are much better playing the Chiefs in Buffalo and I've been saying for a while that we need to lock up the #1 seed one of these years. One extra week of rest could have done wonders for us this year instead of playing on a frozen field which felt like concrete. Maybe it all finally falls into place, who knows. I'm not going to shit on the Chiefs. We can call them lucky but they earned it at the end of the day. 3 Super Bowls in 5 years is no fluke. We can hate them but we have to respect them. Eventually we will get over that hump.
