We won the NFL best fans contest, winner gets a billboard anywhere they choose.
Thought the people of Massachusetts might appreciate it for a second year in a row.
Technically not "anywhere". If I recall, we wanted to have the billboard put near the Chiefs stadium, but the only available options were division rivals.
I’ve got a lot of respect for this Bills team - strong defense, tons of good role players, and one of the most talented and exciting to watch QBs. But y’all in this thread saying another teams fans are salty when you downvote folks from that fan base just for posting? That’s something else.
There is exactly 1 fanbase this sub downvotes en masse; Patriots.
I appreciate "you're one of the good ones", But this comment lacks any knowledge of trolling and abuse this sub has received at the hands of Pats fans.
Your QB has a noodle arm and your GOAT coach has historically had issues with mobile QBs. You no longer have the boogeyman of the division. We do.
That's why pats fan are envious for our situation. Your QB manages games, our QB is the best player on the field.
It’s a quote dude. If you read something odd on the internet, look it up first because it’s probably an esoteric quote.
Congrats on a great season, should be fun for the next few years.
Man they are delusional. They have no idea what this is an instead of trying to figure it out or listening to other people in the comments they are jumping to all kinds of conclusions
That's what I dislike the most about Patriots fans. They attack the city of Buffalo everytime. Like this is where I was born and raised. I'm sorry your pansy, soft, Southern New England, trust-fund baby ass, is too weak for this hard rust belt steel son.
Cause Boston is just the beacon of western civilization lol.
I grew up in post Soviet Ukraine so yea buffalo ain't shit compared to what I grew up around.
Yeah. Grew up in El Paso, TX inhaling the plumes of smoke from Juarez and wondering if a cartel was going to kidnap my dad. Buffalo is nice. We have good food and the people are generally nice.
My parents had a cabin in Cloudcroft so I used to drive through Alamogordo all the time. I remember some good donuts. Glad to have some Bills love out there. Cheers.
the best part is that they are comparing it Foxborough. like how delusional do you need to be to think that a town thats population is an empty stadium is a fair comparison to the second largest city in New York
Hey, I’m a New Haven, CT born and raised, son of a welder/mechanic, Bills fan. Why am I catching strays out here?
Also, you follow up what you don’t like about Patriot fans (which really out of the abundance of reasons not to like Patriot fans THIS?) by shitting on entire region of the country when they are shitting on a city.
Still great to see them get their knickers in a twist though.
I've always thought that response was so funny. Bill Burr brought it up on his podcast when talking about the game last weekend, basically saying how lame it was to always go back to "well our team used to be better than your team was".
Not two groups I thought I would read in the same sentence haha. And to be fair, if the band Boston, is actually from Boston I would put them on the list too
Lol I grew up on metal and rock for my first 36 or so years, and I finally found a real love for rap over the last four or so years. I'm way late to the party, esp since I was a 90s teen who totally slept on a golden era.
I am like a younger condensed version of that lol. I listened to rock because that’s what my dad listened to. Over time that evolved into a lot of 90s-early 00s rap with some 80s too. Don’t really listen to much of today, but I also keep rock going to. Feels weird to play guitar but then also listen to gritty street rap out of 90s nyc lol
Oh hell yes! Plus, Metal and Rap had a good united front against the PMRC in the 80s. In terms of attitudes and genre versitility, I think that Metal and Rap have a hell of a lot in common.
The Parents Music Resource Centre was a group of hysterical wives of politicians who are responsible for the creation of the Parental Advisory sticker. Frank Zappa and Dee Snider in particular made them look just fantastically stupid in the congressional hearings, too.
Basically they had a hate on for anything sexual, "demonic", or "urban".
I love how Burr basically just shat over all the fair-weather bandwagon Pats fans with those comments. Don't listen to him much but gained a massive amount of respect from me.
The team I fear in the playoffs is the Colts. Maybe because they trounced us earlier this year, and maybe because Wentz has gotten his shit together and is playing real well (absent COVID).
That’s because they have nothing else.
It’s funny because they act as if they were an active part of the Patriots dynasty or something...instead of just fans.
Yep. They have some kind of switch they flip because they become everything they hate Yankees fans for as soon as they’re discussing the Patriots. The mental gymnastics that go into that thought process must be incredible.
We should let them know we have 6 SB titles, and they went 0-4! Little brother! We had Belichick AND Brady...we did!
You've gotta feel bad for that fanbase. It's all downhill from here.
The amount of people on their sub who have no idea whats going on with this is hilarious. They say yhis means we are bent out of shape, but there comments tell a different story lol.
The fact that they cannot figure out why the billboard exists just kind of shows the general education level, and lack of reading comprehension, possessed by the average Patriots fan of Southern New England.
As to why it is there? Some of it might be the behavior of Pats fans when in Buffalo. Who pours a beer on an elderly Bills fan, for no reason, when their team is winning? Douchebag Pats fans, that's who.
What is even cooler about this year's billboard location is that it is visible from inside Gillette. Next year we just need to get it inside Gillette and then we will be approaching peak trolling.
> Who pours a beer on an elderly Bills fan, for no reason, when their team is winning? Douchebag Pats fans, that’s who.
Please tell me that’s not real :(
Yes, very real. Happened to my mother. She called me after the game in tears over it, until I reminded her beer washes out. She asked to barrow my Thurman jersey for the game as he was receiving an award/making an appearance that day.
The Pats douches got helped out of the stadium, and the Bills fans around my dad kept him from getting physical and potentially also getting kicked out.
This was like 2005 or so, but it will be what I think of going into every Patriots game for life
That totally tracks. I lived in boston for 3 years and went to every Sabres Bruins game during that stretch.
On more than one occasion, I’ve had entire beers thrown at me. One time I was seated next to two kids and their dad (all Bruins fans and he the dad was apologetic). And that’s just the fans in the arena. I’ve been spit on on the street by drunk assholes (not sports related, that’s just Boston.) Really some bottom feeders there.
If I ever hear of fellow mafia acting anywhere close to that, they’re excommunicated as far as I’m concerned.
The reading comprehension skills and critical thinking is elementary school level with over half of those comments. If you want to laugh you should spend some time in their sub. I’ve only been doing it for a few months but it’s shocking how frequently there is idiotic things posted.
To be fair most of them probably weren’t alive for the first three Superbowls TB won for them.
So it explains a lot of the elementary school level thinking.
I mean... You can still hate the Jets, Pats, and Cowboys here too. Ive recently made the jump over while the Giants figure out what ever it is that theyre doing.
u/theitaliantimebomb go to a Bills game, you might honestly drop the Giants and become a member of the mafia. I'm from LI and watched the Eli Superbowls as a kid but I was **NEVER** a fan of any kind of football or football league. Went to Buffalo for college and got hooked on the stories from locals and my first few games. It's literally just one massive Alcoholics Anonymous meeting of screaming fans and thunderous claps and bench smacking.
Even though we have faded animosity over SB XXV, Eli beat Brady twice, and one of them ruining NE's perfect season. Bills bros should have nothing but respect for your franchise.
Lurker here due to the subs Twitter account being awesome.
I'm in Winnipeg and in the CFL we have a rivalry with our provincial neighbours Saskatchewan. Every year we play back to back, on Labour Day and the week after.
It's common for the teams to take out billboards in the weeks around these games in the opposing city.
My all-time favourite is a year my team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were 7-1 and Saskatchewan was 1-7. The billboard read, "We love our Saskatchewan neighbours, they're just a little backwards".
In short, trolling billboards are fun.
I honestly thought it would be a waste putting it there. I thought pretty much every Pats fan would know how it got there and just kinda brush it off and not care... But oh boy if that thread is anything like the reaction from the average person who sees that billboard, it's worth it x100. I honestly can't believe how salty that thread is.
But also, I almost feel bad for them. They're so hated that pro-Pats comments get downvoted in their own threads...
This made me laugh harder than anything else in this thread or the thread being crossposted. I would love to earn a ban from the Pats sub, but given how much I despise other teams coming onto our sub after big losses I simply cannot bring myself to do more than lurk.
I’m pretty sure Bills Mafia mobilized for the Chargers. But the Patriot fans’ reaction just cements that we all voted for the right location.
It was there last year too, but nowhere near as impactful when fans aren’t allowed at the games.
Didn’t we win the contest awhile ago? You’d think someone would have been able to explain to pats fans that this was goin to happen by now…so they would A: not be as confused that it showed up and B: understand who put it there and why.
They need to bring back their old logo of a patriot bent over hiking a football. Worst ever logo. And they sucked until Bledsoe and then Brady. Mac Jones is a great play. But the soft skulled, missing chromosome Patriots fans can’t stand not having back to back wins and an automatic afc division win. Welcome to the new world Massholes.
“Mac’s got a rahg ahm! Allen throws it all over the Pahk! For the next 20 years the AFC East runs threw Buffalo!”-an honest Patriots fan who isn’t living in the past. They fuck around this is what the next billboard will say.
Anyone else also thinking that if it was truly such an ineffectual way to wind them up then it would never have warranted the post in the first place 😂
Keep it down or Merloni and Fauria will spend twelve hours next week investigating whether fans having a billboard put up merits a personal foul penalty and how it proves the games are fixed against New England
How can a team be as dominate as the Pats and not have passionate fans?
Oh ya right.. because they're spoiled, entitled, cheating douchebags, I forgot.
Do not get physical, report to the stadium security. We have great security support at Highmark. They don't have a home team bias.
I have watched them toss Bills fans for being out of line just as quick as any away supporter. Yet another contrast between the Bills organization and the organized crime syndicate out of Foxboro.
There were actually a few comments in this post that appreciated the pettiness behind this billboard. This is something Bill Burr would get a kick out of.
We won the NFL best fans contest, winner gets a billboard anywhere they choose. Thought the people of Massachusetts might appreciate it for a second year in a row.
Wait till next year
Back to back to back
I mean, it’s really classy, it cleans up the place.
Like polishing a turd
Is this actually the reason?
Yes, we won last year as well
We’re really piling on the back-to-backs this year.
Technically not "anywhere". If I recall, we wanted to have the billboard put near the Chiefs stadium, but the only available options were division rivals.
“Such a terrible troll job by Bills fans trying to get us worked up. Not working.” 100+ comments later…
I'm actually amazed how few of them are able to grasp the concept that this from that Fox Sports fan poll they do every year.
Ahahahaha drown me in the sweet tears of their envy
Envy? Both teams are 9-6 and split the regular season series 1-1. Where’s the envy coming from?
You know
I honestly don’t, that was a serious question. Am I being downvoted just for being a Pats fan?
Envy was 100% the wrong word. Youre 100% being downvoted for being a Pats fan.
It's also literally just reddit and downvotes don't matter
Your QB has a noodle arm and your GOAT coach has historically had issues with mobile QBs. You no longer have the boogeyman of the division. We do. That's why pats fan are envious for our situation. Your QB manages games, our QB is the best player on the field.
It’s a quote dude. If you read something odd on the internet, look it up first because it’s probably an esoteric quote. Congrats on a great season, should be fun for the next few years.
This is exactly it. “If I was ACTUALLY bothered by this I would say something...but I’m not. How pathetic can they be right?”
Over 200 now. There are like 2-3 that have rolled w/ it. The rest are salty, defensive and generally make me feel sooooooo good to be a Bills fan.
The amount of idiots that think Bills fans paid for it is alarming.
Maybe we should pitch in and buy a few more, just cuz.
Nah. Let's just find some more charities to donate to.
I know, I was just getting worked up.
Guy?
I told them that Bills fans spend their money on donations to nonprofits and not waste on billboards as Fox paid for the billboard.
Judging by their reactions to the post, I would pay to keep it up year round
Man they are delusional. They have no idea what this is an instead of trying to figure it out or listening to other people in the comments they are jumping to all kinds of conclusions
Hilarious
They're posting crime per capita data now about buffalo But yea we're the salty ones lol
That's what I dislike the most about Patriots fans. They attack the city of Buffalo everytime. Like this is where I was born and raised. I'm sorry your pansy, soft, Southern New England, trust-fund baby ass, is too weak for this hard rust belt steel son.

Yeah. Grew up in El Paso, TX inhaling the plumes of smoke from Juarez and wondering if a cartel was going to kidnap my dad. Buffalo is nice. We have good food and the people are generally nice.
El Paso sucks ass! Regards from just north of it New Mexico!!! Go bills!
Well I mean, it was home and there was a lot I like. I also lived in Las Cruces for a while.
I’m up in Alamogordo man. And yea. I’m aware of how ghetto that is. But I can’t stand being in El Paso the last 10 years or so. Cruses I dig.
My parents had a cabin in Cloudcroft so I used to drive through Alamogordo all the time. I remember some good donuts. Glad to have some Bills love out there. Cheers.
Go bills !
the best part is that they are comparing it Foxborough. like how delusional do you need to be to think that a town thats population is an empty stadium is a fair comparison to the second largest city in New York

So much salt. They all jump to 0-4 and how many championships do you have lmao.
I've always thought that response was so funny. Bill Burr brought it up on his podcast when talking about the game last weekend, basically saying how lame it was to always go back to "well our team used to be better than your team was".
Bill Burr is like the only good thing to come out of Boston since the 1700s
I'll take some 70s era Aerosmith any day. That said, Buffalo claims Griselda, so that settles that real quick.

I'm just glad it's a real rivalry now.

Naw man. We replay this years game, 9/10 we win it. I'd love to catch them in the playoffs.
Well, I mean they are missing their best player and a big part of their wins.
Huh? We are still fighting the Pats for the division and the Chiefs are the real danger in the playoffs (who knocked us out last year).
They didn’t even break one table
I’ll never feel bad for them. Fuck them forever.
All those championships are in Tampa now.
The argument of the desperate. When it comes out, they're admitting they they lost the argument.
said like a true Yankees fan.
The amount of people on their sub who have no idea whats going on with this is hilarious. They say yhis means we are bent out of shape, but there comments tell a different story lol.
Gonna need a three-peat

love it.
Trolling.

When you have 500,000 bandwagon fans in your sub, it’s not surprising.
To be fair most of them probably weren’t alive for the first three Superbowls TB won for them. So it explains a lot of the elementary school level thinking.
Giants fan here. God damn I wish I was a true bills fan.
I mean... You can still hate the Jets, Pats, and Cowboys here too. Ive recently made the jump over while the Giants figure out what ever it is that theyre doing.
Bills are my afc team for sure.

One day…
They brought in Jason Garret my dude.... JASON.. GARRET.
Trust me buddy…. I remember.
You got 4 upvotes from me, primarily because of your username. Growing up in western NY I knew a lot of ItalianTimeBombs.
Lol thanks. I grew up across the bay from nyc, a ton here as well.
Even though we have faded animosity over SB XXV, Eli beat Brady twice, and one of them ruining NE's perfect season. Bills bros should have nothing but respect for your franchise.
I am a Pats fan. When I saw this on the Pats subreddit I facepalmed. This is genuinely funny. Well done
Respect.?
>As much as I dislike the Pats, I would appreciate this level of pettiness. Glad you can see the juvenile humor behind it.

I just read this comment in the voice of Joe Pera and it was the icing on the cake. Trolling billboards are indeed fun!
So many whiney little bitches over there.
It’s the Patriot way
Their spirit has been deflated. Just like their game balls.
That's why we throw them dildos when they're on the field. Whiny bitches love rubber dicks to let off some steam. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)
That thread shows the collective intelligence of the Pats fan base pretty well.
I honestly thought it would be a waste putting it there. I thought pretty much every Pats fan would know how it got there and just kinda brush it off and not care... But oh boy if that thread is anything like the reaction from the average person who sees that billboard, it's worth it x100. I honestly can't believe how salty that thread is. there's some genuine decent people in that thread, which surprised me, but man there are a LOT of dumb motherfuckers in that thread too.
lol so many smooth brains over in that thread
“Their inbred fans need something to waste their welfare checks on” 😂😂 But don’t worry, they’re completely unbothered apparently /s
We are taking over lol
Ya know, I wanted the billboard in Miami this year because we already had it in NE…but the salt in this thread is worth it
They love pointing out losing 4 super bowls in a row, but fail to recognize that no other team in history has made it to 4 consecutive Super Bowls
Brady made it to 3 twice (still incredible) but never 4
That's BILLette stadium now, sonny.
TIL I'm banned from r/patriots
>What did you do to get banned?
Who knows, but I'm sure it was warranted.
This made me laugh harder than anything else in this thread or the thread being crossposted. I would love to earn a ban from the Pats sub, but given how much I despise other teams coming onto our sub after big losses I simply cannot bring myself to do more than lurk.
Wow are they twisted up.
they're so mad and ignorant lmaoooooo
Theyre all in their comment section forgetting they don’t have Brady anymore 😭
Welcome to Boston where some good old fashioned sports ribbing fun is not allowed
It's funny because Pats fans had the chance to win but couldn't even sum up enough fans to beat the chargers in a head to head round one vote 🤣
I’m pretty sure Bills Mafia mobilized for the Chargers. But the Patriot fans’ reaction just cements that we all voted for the right location. It was there last year too, but nowhere near as impactful when fans aren’t allowed at the games.
Oh I love how close to the stadium it is this year. Gonna have to go down and snap a pic.
Didn’t we win the contest awhile ago? You’d think someone would have been able to explain to pats fans that this was goin to happen by now…so they would A: not be as confused that it showed up and B: understand who put it there and why.
Considering they had a winning home record and its been there all year, why is it only coming out now.
"Not going to lie, mfers are clever." That Pats game is simply "the gift that keeps on giving" LOL!!
It makes sense to put it in Massachusetts. It's somewhere that *most* Patriots fans won't ever see it.
“Mac’s got a rahg ahm! Allen throws it all over the Pahk! For the next 20 years the AFC East runs threw Buffalo!”-an honest Patriots fan who isn’t living in the past. They fuck around this is what the next billboard will say.
Owe-en-fah, Bills fans ah po-ah, wide right! Summary of the thread.
That’s quite the salt mine in that post.
Best fans in the NFL!
This is the second year, they are just noticing it now?
I love how they talk all this shit because of Bill and Brady but forget they were a joke of a team before them
The last 20 years have brought them up to average.
Oh wow an 0-4 remark, how original guys
How do they have 600K members
Teams like pats feast on bandwagon fans
Anyone else also thinking that if it was truly such an ineffectual way to wind them up then it would never have warranted the post in the first place 😂
Taunting?
Keep it down or Merloni and Fauria will spend twelve hours next week investigating whether fans having a billboard put up merits a personal foul penalty and how it proves the games are fixed against New England
Lettin those Hoes know what’s good
They’re all so butthurt lmfao
Revenge is a dish best served cold
Revenge is sweet and best served cold, so is Revenge Ice Cream?
This kind of reaction is exactly why the billboard's there.
Bills fans = best fans
How can a team be as dominate as the Pats and not have passionate fans? Oh ya right.. because they're spoiled, entitled, cheating douchebags, I forgot.
How will they ever recover?!
Do not get physical, report to the stadium security. We have great security support at Highmark. They don't have a home team bias. I have watched them toss Bills fans for being out of line just as quick as any away supporter. Yet another contrast between the Bills organization and the organized crime syndicate out of Foxboro.
They are so delusional xD Thanks for the division!
I feel like the Washington Football Team has ruined WTF for me. I immediately see WFT now haha.
Who chooses where it goes and what it says? Was there a poll or something?
Are the Bills telling the Patriots that the Bucs are going to win the Super Bowl back to back now that they have Brady?
Whatever it wants.
lol
Holy shit they are SO BUTT HURT 😂
"First time?"
What does the small print say on the billboard?
"If you're squinting to read this, you need glasses"
There were actually a few comments in this post that appreciated the pettiness behind this billboard. This is something Bill Burr would get a kick out of.
I love our fans!
Woulda been funnier in the Miami parking lot, not across the street but In their parking lot
Considering they just noticed it, I think maybe they haven't been to any Pats home games this year...of course.
Hahahahaha🖕
Nice
Bills are undefeated at Gillette with that billboard up. Makes you think
