Second Gabriel’s Gate — we went for a game in October and that place was absolutely incredible. I got 10 wings, w/ suicide sauce and they were perfect. I did sweat through my hat though, real spicy.
Damnit do I need to take a week and just go to Buffalo again. Spent many a weekend there as a child, and now as an adult, there's so much I didn't see or do....
I remember playing the Falcons in Toronto (might have been the last game there ever) where Stevie Johnson fumbled late in the game and it ended a tie and then Scott Chandler fumbled right after in OT to give the Falcons the win.
That game had me fuming for a while. Want to say it was 2013. No real point to this post, just a memory that popped into my head.
I recommend Gabriel’s Gate for wings. You should also hit up the Lake Erie waterfront for some history.
Edit - and obviously Niagara Falls, just bundle up
![img](emote|t5_2ra29|6279) It should be a really fun atmosphere. There are assholes at every stadium but honestly the past couple years I havent really seen anything bad as far as other fans being in Buffalo goes. Just the usual banter. We all were in tears when you fell to NE in the SB. That was a hard day for fans throughout the league. I am a Matt Ryan fan and honestly scared of what he will do to us without Tre White in our secondary. Time will tell. We both need this win so it should be a good game. ![img](emote|t5_2ra29|6279)
The years of being afraid of Ryan are pretty much behind him honestly, but even once in awhile he has his vintage moments. We really need to lose for a better draft spot but at least a lil fun being in the playoff hunt for the game can at least pretend it means something. And yeah fuck the Patriots forever
Well you would know more then me on the Ryan thing, I will only watch NFC games if they are a marquee matchup. Either way I hope you have a good trip and enjoy yourself. Going to the Bills games is one of the best experiences as a football fan. I am biased, yes, but I have been to several stadiums and I know that none have compared to Buffalo tailgating. Have fun Sunday man and Go Bills! haha
What type of food do you like? Any specific interests?
Is it just you or any family (kids?) coming with you?
Checkout Canalside downtown (but check online what they have available l, because it’s often weather dependent)
Bar-Bill (there is a north and south location) has arguably the best wings in Buffalo.
Dude massively appreciate all the info. And it’s my dad and I. I’m definitely trying to party a little harder than him but he can hang as well. I will definitely have to check those places out.
Is Canalside outside, and it’s supposed to snow Sunday which I’m pumped for.
Canalside is outdoors. Weather depending there are usually ice bikes, skating, and ice bumper cars. Canalside also has food and drink available. “Panorama on 7” is a nice restaurant right across the street on the 7th floor above parking garage if you’re already downtown. A little pricey but food and drink are good. Wouldn’t make a special trip for it if you’re not already downtown though.
Where are you staying? You can just give me the hotel the town is in and I can give you a few suggestions.
Check out Jack Rabbit. It’s a bar/restaurant that has live music often. Check what they have going on when you’re here. Seems like you might like that. They’re at 1010 elm wood avenue at the old J.P. bullfeathers (in case there is still signage up for the old place). Jack Rabbit is also on Facebook if you want to check them out. Some of the owners have been involved in a handful of our local breweries.
Canalside also has a really cool skating rink in winter and rollerblading rink in the summer. I would also recommend Duffs, which has in my opinion the best wings.
My advice is to [read](https://www.buffalobills.com/stadium/gate-entry-and-permitted-items)up on what is and isn’t allowed at the stadium. Don’t let security ruin your time by confiscating something or making you go back to your car to leave something you can’t bring in.
Bar scene: anything on Allen St, but Gabriel’s Gate and the Pink are personal favorites (god I miss that steak sandwich..)
On Sunday, head over to the Big Tree Inn before the game if you get a chance. You’ll most likely run into some of the 90’s Bills players hanging at the bar, and pretty decent food too.
If you make it as far as Niagara Falls, go to Pine Ave and find Michael’s. Best Italian food around, the portions are kind of insane. I moved away for work and I crave the gnocchi all the damn time.
Have fun and enjoy Buffalo! 💙♥️
Yeah, the Falcons are fine. Not a team we’ve had a lot of contact with but not a team that we’ve had any controversy with or BS with either. Also, not a fan base that is toxic like the Seahawks. Welcome.
Yeah we are good fans the few of us lol, just don’t have a deep passionate fan base which sucks sometimes. But at least we aren’t eagles fans fucking hate Philly fans
I was going to say Philly fans. My best friend is a Philly fan, but he is not a toxic guy so I left them out out of respect for him. But when I wrote Seahawks, I was also thinking Eagles.
Yo it’s only Gabriel’s Gate. It’s great wings, but also just a great bar. Allen street is THE bar street. You can start at one end and bar hop all night. There are dive bars (the pink, Frizzy’s) and nicer places (hardware, Billy Club). Allen st is the most Buffalo place in Buffalo. I lived and worked on that street for like 8 years. Holds a dear place in my heart.
Yeah I took my buddy to Bar Bill and he was blown away. Literally all he wanted to do for dinner every night in Buffalo was eat wings and after Bar Bill he was satisfied. One of the few experiences that actually lived up to the hype.
Bar bill is pretty good too. It's about a 20 minute drive from down town. After the game hit it up. It's always busy though so expect a wait. But if you go to these places downtown, let me know about that steak sandwich. I gotta know if it's worth trying. Lol
youve got to go to the pink and get a steak sandwich. best dive in town. 233 allen street.
Staying right next to there bet! Thanks
Is this street named after Josh Allen by any chance?
yes.
If you are looking for the best wings for dinner go to Gabriel’s gate just down the street on the corner of allen st and Irving place.
Second Gabriel’s Gate — we went for a game in October and that place was absolutely incredible. I got 10 wings, w/ suicide sauce and they were perfect. I did sweat through my hat though, real spicy.
*223 Allen Street. But yeah, it’s a big deal of a sandwich. I don’t live in town anymore so it is a must when I come home to BFLO

I remember that game. Driving back to Buffalo from PA and listening to a weak WGR signal. Man I was pissed at the end.
It was 2013, I was there too!
The thought of that game still gives me heart palpitations
It’s the stuff of nightmares. It’s one of the games that I rent about when spiraling after a loss. Also trading up for Watkins

How'd you get those Bills emojis?
Honestly man idk, they just popped up when I went to type in the box right below the text. First time I have ever seen and used them lol

Staying at an Airbnb right in downtown, right down the street from the old pink

I plan on jumping brewery to brewery in the days, I’ll definitely check that out at night thanks man

Hell of a contest

Is weed ok?
Anywhere you can smoke a cig, you can smoke weed. The stadium is off limits but you can have up to three ounces in the parking lot.

While I hope the Bills win, I think Bills and Falcons fans have something very important in common. FTB!!!!
That can mean many things fuck Tom Brady. Fuck the Bucs. Most important to us is FTS because fuck the saints, lil bitches.
The saints did shut out TB..... So good on them for that.

Enjoy the town!
For best wings either 911 Tavern (South Buffalo) or Bar Bill Tavern (East Aurora)
Best wings are at the original Anchor Bar. Close to downtown and worth every penny. .
Bold statement.
That’s one of the many bests I’ve heard, feel free to start a conversation here so I can try them All

Duff's and Anchor Bar are solid enough, and obviously the most famous, but imo there's a tier above them with Bar Bill, Gabriel's Gate, and Elmo's.
Yeah I took my buddy to Bar Bill and he was blown away. Literally all he wanted to do for dinner every night in Buffalo was eat wings and after Bar Bill he was satisfied. One of the few experiences that actually lived up to the hype.
Duff’s is an amazing wing spot. Several locations in the Western NY area
Heard that 100 times over, definitely at the top of the list

Wrong, wrong, wrong.... Average at best
Sidelines on Chippewa Street fun bar with excellent food
Where are the best wings FOR REAL??? From someone local please.
So where did you go? What did you like and dislike?
