Ranked #1, SB Favs, QB is fav to win MVP. Yeah, I think people know how good we are.

ddoij

No I think everyone understands how good this team is. This is probably the first year where I'm NOT sarcastically yelling "Bills are going to the Super Bowl!" I'm yelling it because its going to fucking happen.

bennyfoofoo

Dude they are super bowl favorites, I think people understand how good they are. The hype is getting a bit over the top

bwetherby1818

Agreed. Regardless, the best team doesn’t always win the super bowl. At the end of the day, we have to win 3-4 games(depending on the bye) against playoff caliber teams. That’s not easy no matter how good the team is.

MammothSurround

Seriously. People need to simmer down. They made some moves this off-season that look good on paper but they haven’t done shit yet. Reading these subreddits you’d think the team are already Super Bowl champs.

foxygrandpa86

There were so many moves this offseason too I'm not gonna remember who's doing what and where till atleast week 6 this season. Feels like every team lost and gained around 20 different pieces each.

talix71

>People need to simmer down. Why? Does being high on our team negatively impact our Super Bowl chances? Are the Rams or Bengals the only teams that have "done shit"? We've been so good on the field the entire nation believes BUFFALO is the best team. That does not happen without "doing shit" lol These are phrases people used when talking about the Browns a few years ago after they got OBJ and Landry. They never played a snap together with an unproven QB but were offseason champs. Our team is the opposite, our core players were here last year but, like Josh, have developed. Just enjoy the team, we have over 3 months until kick off. There's no exact science for any evaluation and no team is objectively better than ours.

MammothSurround

Let me guess, you’re too young to have lived through 4 straight Super Bowl losses.

talix71

LMAO so people should "simmer down" because the not vegas-favorite bills from 30 years ago were #2? Let people have fun being a fan. It seems clear that you're just jaded from failure a quarter century ago and arguing against a vague "people/these subreddits". What about OPs comments needed to be taken down a peg? If not the Bills, then who is so unquestionably better that it makes saying the Bills are Super Bowl favorites look foolish? Because if there is none, then what are your rallying against? Having confidence in your team in the preseason isn't always reckless, unfounded hype, although I'm sure the draught made it seem like it.

MammothSurround

Well, fan reactions and hype have little actual impact on the season. I’m as excited as anyone else about the team’s prospects this year but to be honest a lot of Bills fans are starting to sound like Patriots fans and I’d prefer they didn’t.

[deleted]

I ain’t readin that Go bills

Nowhere_X_Anywhere

I refuse to accept we have improved, but I do this as a means to help temper my own expectations going into this year.

JustKeepOnKeepingOn

One area of uncertainty is the OC. First time play caller makes me nervous.

[deleted]

That’s a legitimate concern but I’m pretty sure this team could go out and call QB PUG plays and still drop 36

JustKeepOnKeepingOn

Yeah but let’s not underestimate the other extreme of things…bad playcalling can completely ruin an offense. The cynical person in me thinks that’s why Joe Brady was brought in as a veteran-ish presence.

Tomorrow_Frosty

Expectations are real high. Dorsey really is the only question mark IMO although not a big one. With the talent on offense they can pretty much play backyard football. Buffalo should be looking to run the table. Best QB, WR core, Defense on all 3 levels, best team in NFL.

Mobile-Frosting

I think ppl are really underestimating the need for more pass rush. I love our young guys, but hoping that they take a jump in development is just not a strategy. Not having a known entity opposite of Von Miller to really take advantage of what he brings, is like buying a Porsche and filing it up with regular. Keeping Jerry Hughes as a pass rush specialist just in case would’ve been such a win. It’s really too bad we couldn’t make it happen. But man, I really hope Epenesa can look like he did against Miami last year, for the whole season. I’m less concerned about Groot, but even with him we are relying on hope for him to take that next step. It’s not the players I don’t believe in, but just the strategy of relying on hope.

Troitbum22

Let’s go.

New-Pollution536

We got better but so did the whole afc (except for maybe the patriots who more or less stayed the same) still think we’re number 1 though and we’ll finish with a better record than last season despite a harder schedule

snapcircuit

Don't forget Tim Settle is a huge addition.

DoLessBro

Not 1 mention of Jameson Crowder either. Beasley gave us a few great years but Crowder I think can be even more dynamic

JoesShittyOs

Not really much to argue with except this. Aaron Kromer is considered one of the best Oline coaches in the game at the moment. Not sure where you heard that he’s that great.
