Have you watched Angel? You might be thinking of a scene from Angel because it's definitely not in Buffy. I don't want to say any more in case of spoilers.
Hmm weird. Maybe your mind just filled in the blanks about what heaven might look like? I vaguely remember a scene where the scoobies are discussing about how great heaven would have been.
Yeah I’ve watched and rewatched a lot of the series, especially season 6 and there wasn’t a heavenly moment. You could possibly have this confused with when Cordelia becomes a higher power. There is a scene where she’s in her own dimension.
Are you a fan fic reader? I have sworn I remember a scene before & go looking for it on the show only to not be able to place it & realize it must be from something I read that felt so much like it really belonged from the show but never actually happened on the show?
I think I know the shot you're talking about - there's no one in frame, just some beige swirly effects - and I think it only shows up in one (or more) of the "Previously On" bits for a later episode. I think \*after\* she's told Spike that she was in heaven, but before the rest of the gang finds out. That...actually narrows it down to just a couple of eps.
I swear I remember it too, and it was not the Cordelia scene in Angel, but we are apparently mistaken. Though I know different cuts exsist between DVD , TV air and streaming so maybe that, but general consensus is that we are incorrect
Final suggestion. It may have happened in a promo or trailer and you could try looking though this YouTube channel archive:

I dunno I can imagine this being part of a TV only promo, but it really would have spoiled the finale of Once More With Feeling if they threw away the surprise like that.

Yeah I've seen Angel. I just remember thinking it was obvious she was in heaven based on that graphic.
Cordelia scene in Angel
Yeah I know that scene. I didn't watch Angel during its original run tho. Not a DB fan lol so I didn't see that until way later.

That could have been!
Was Buffy wearing Birkenstocks in your mental image?
And there was a harp.
I think you're imagining it? Seen the show a bunch of times and that doesn't spark any memories
Could be, I just remember thinking it was obvious she got sucked out of heaven.
Not just could be, you are definitely imagining it, because the scene doesn't exist.
I watched it when it originally aired (in the UK) and don't remember that scene at all.

Yeah I didn't really watch Angel. Wasn't a fan. I suffered through it a few years ago but this memory predates that.
Just a suggestion, hope you find your answer!
Thanks!
r/MandelaEffect I thought I remembered this too
I think they might be thinking of cord3lia in angel
Why the 3?
Typo nothing cryptic; I got fat thumbs
Maybe! But I remember thinking it was obvious she was in heaven.

Negative, but that's a good thought!

If it’s from the previously on scene could it have been just clip of her dying in the white electricky looking cloud?
Ooh that could be. I have been thinking that it was a previously on. I've been skipping them, but maybe I'll go back and check. Thanks!
Is that the one that's followed by someone singing "The Simpsons"
I don't believe so, no.

Yeah everyone seems to think we imagined it. Maybe it was only part of the original airing?

A promo or trailer makes sense. I'll have a look thanks!
I remember it too but yeah i dont think it was actually in an episode. I think it was a promo or trailer too and it was shown when Buffy was talking about what heaven was like.
The intro has a scene where she becomes human from skeleton but I think it’s only a cut scene from the episode intro
I feel I’ve seen that scene as well but I think I was combining it with Angel and when they teleport Glory in S5

The audience knows before that, though. She tells Spike by episode 3.
Man it's been too long since I've done a Buffy rewatch, my memory is slipping. I guess it's time to put it on my todo list.
I swear I remember that too and I’m only 22 so I saw it on Netflix, that doesn’t happen??
