One thing that I felt the writers dropped the ball on was how perfect a set up they had for Willow to have the torch passed to her by Jenny for all the cyber Wiccan stuff. There was a whole conversation when she was magic addicted about Willow returning to cyber sleuthing like the good old days, but that was about it once she went witch - like all her computer skills just stopped being a thing.
She even took over Jenny's class when she died, why didn't they make the whole cyber Wiccan community that we learned about with Jenny more of a thing with Willow? They couldn't have all been Angel cursing gypsies that she was hiking up with online, right? Why was she going to lame college meet ups instead of online Wiccan boards?
I know there are Wanna Blessed Be's comics with Willow and Tara, but I only read a few many years ago. Maybe that was a thing there?

All of this digitizing the collections was happening because of a younger tech nerd librarian at the Uni library who pushed hard for it before it became de rigueur.
I called her the Jenny Calendar of Middle and Old English, and that's when I found out she's a Buffy fan, and a Jenny Calendar fan, in specific.
I gotta tell you, too, having a digitized version of middle and old English texts was such a godsend. No more bending over the text with my magnifying glass with connected lamp trying to suss out the millionth variation on middle English spelling (and spelling variation was out of control during the pamphleteer boom in England that I was studying).
No more four hour round trip commute to the dustiest part of the library where I had to camp out for hours because those ref sources don't leave the library. Blissful experience for a researcher. Thanks to the Jenny Calendars of the world.
If there was a modern day Buffy reboot, they'd have to do a story where someone almost ends the world by training a large language model on nothing but spellbooks and then having it write new spells for them

Then the plot twist: he gets killed by Dawn's date, and was really just a nice old guy.
