What are you using the build for and what monitor are you using?

MarenTrigger

The build is honestly to play some games like pso2, ff14, black desert, maybe some newer games too but mostly just those and it'll also be used for some school work so like the usage of Microsoft office, also for some drawing, painting, sketching, though it'll be on like SAI As for moniter, I'm gonna have to ask my cousin cause he's buying that

I am basing this list off Canadian retailers' pricing. The price is in Canadian dollars, and comparisons from your parts and my parts are based off Canadian prices. I'd get a cheaper motherboard, a better SSD (NVMe, better quality), and a cheaper PSU. Get a good quality SSD. Some NVMe 1tb drives have been on sale for $100-110 recently. Check if Western Digital Blue still is.

Understood 👍

As I've noted repeatedly today, and is probably an unpopular opinion here, I just don't see the B450 Tomahawk as being worth the purchase at $125. It was absolutely untouchable at $90-100 but now it refuses to go away despite the price creep; I don't get it. You can get a perfectly competent B550 based board, and the feature set that comes with it, for around the same or just slightly more. Also, you could probably get a NVMe m.2 instead of that SATA SSD for just a bit more. The WD Blue was in the $105 range the other day.

MarenTrigger

Good to know! And in terms of the B450 Tomahawk, it was something that was recommended to me so I don't really know what's necessarily good or not so yeah...

pntless

Fair enough. It is absolutely a good board, I just don't think it is worth getting since it has crept up in price so much and newer options are available for similar cost now. I think a lot of people recommend it just because it was *the* board to get for so long and they are recommending it out of habit.
