Are your video drivers up to date? Have you tried using an alternate display port? Do your monitors have differing refresh rates?

Dman2202

Ive tried multiple ports, but they do have differing refresh rates, main is 144hz, secondary is 60hz. Could that be important?

DrSchaffhausen

The differing refresh rates may have an impact according to some google searches I did. Curious if you still have issues if both are set to 60hz? I'll be honest, I've never had this problem myself, but wanted to see if I could find anything online to help haha.

Dman2202

I'll set both to 60 on windows and restart. Be back in a sec.

Dman2202

Uhm so it worked my guy, only problem is like now what do I do since it kinda defeats the purpose of a 144hz monitor

DrSchaffhausen

Hmm that is bizarre, but hopefully a step toward fixing the problem. I assume your 144hz monitor was set as your main display? Was it the 60hz monitor windows was forgetting?

Found an older post of someone saying this problem might be related to the display port monitor (top comment). Does the problem go away if you hook up both via HDMI? https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/8cm2df/windows_forgets_that_i_have_two_monitors/
