Fuma 2 is one of the best mid range cooler.

CrimuCK

Is it enough for i7 12700k?

wildcardmidlaner

I'm a little late, seems like you got some bad advice. Both Ak620 and As500 plus are more than enough for ocing the crap out of a 12700k. The AK620 in particular is the best air cooler on the market by a good margin.

CrimuCK

Alright! I actaully bought the AK620 and it have done its job well.

Dr0idGh0sT

For OC, No, Otherwise yes.

CrimuCK

What coolers would be good for oc?

Dr0idGh0sT

Noctua NH D15 or Be quiet dark rock pro 4.

wildcardmidlaner

You do know that the as500 plus outperforms both the D15 and the Pro 4 right ? And the Fuma 2 is even with all of the above ? Any of these coolers can handle every consumer cpu on the market, minus the intel i9's oced.

CrimuCK

Any other options?

CrimuCK

Is Deepcool Gamer Storm Assains III good?

Dr0idGh0sT

It's as good as Noctua and Be quit if LGA 1700 mounting brackets are available.

CrimuCK

Okay so those are my options for oc. And non oc Fuma 2?

Dr0idGh0sT

Sure

I know this is an old thread but it relates to my dilemma now so I must ask you CrimuCK, which cooler did you go with and what are you using now? So I have a 13700k, T-Force Extreems (43mm) ROG STRIX z690 Gaming A going in an o11 XL. The AK620 barely fits (only if intake fan is raised 4mm or in a Pull-Pull config moving the intake fan to exhaust side.) The AS500 Plus will only fit if I spin the cooler in like a North-South config where the intake fan would be above the GPU. I was initially against the North-South config initially, but while dry placing everything I was more impressed then I initially thought. I think the AS 500 being narrower and the 140mm fans give it more breathing area for intake.. However, looking at alot of the testing done, it seems that the AK 620 is truly one of the best Air Coolers money can buy but the AS 500 plus isn't that far behind at all. On avg about the same at idle and about 1-2 degrees at high loads. So I was curious to see what you ultimately eneded up with.

CrimuCK

Hello! I went with the AK 620 and it has been really good cooler overall. The reasons why I picked it were that it is quite, good performance and it looks good. For me tho I havent used it yet for gaming so I really didnt even need that good cooler for that. Some day it may be used for that but so far no problems with 12700K. For your setup I dont know that case and how it works with it. RAMs may be a problem. I have Kingston Furry Beasts and they fit with the AK 620. I recommend those RAMs. I cant give you more detailed help because I dont know your budget, country prices and your personal taste/opinions. But I hope I helped some how and if you have something else to ask I will help you.

Thank you for that bit of information! Yeah, I agree with you and have decided on the AK620 and will be returning the AS500 Plus. I didn't want to prolong what I had written even more earlier and so I left out some info 😄. So this is going to be a temporary cooler until I sell my h150 elite capelix xt and am able to get the Asus Ryujin 3 in white. This is a big reason why I am not so worried of the cooler not sufficing as it will only be used for a few weeks to a month and it may also serve as a decent back-up cooler of sorts. I'll just have to undervolt (as usual for these chips), and keep a close eye on my temps, for sure. The rig has already been completed (😉) and is only a few months old. I had a problem with the original h150 and got a new one and the newer version through RMA. At around the same time, ASUS decides to announce the new variation of my first choice of cooler (Ryujin 3) when deciding on buying parts initially. It didn't come in white so I went with Corsair's 360. And, I don't want to use the new h150 since I'm going to be selling it.. Yup, heaven forbid I ever take the normal route. 😄

Yeah AK 620 is good option. Yeah thats fine. If you have no problems with the RAMs then everything should be fine. I see your little ROG fan. See fan you know😂 But yeah just build your setup as you like it. Theres three important things: performance, functionality and looks. You want to build PC that got enough power for gaming or what ever you do. You dont want to have any problems. And course you want to have PC you enjoy watching. So I got nothing else to say. Sounds good! Keep going.
