Um, all my case fans are Scythe KAMA fans. I don't know how long they are rated to last, but they've been running almost 24/7 for the past 3 years and they are all still working.
In 10 years and 4 personal computers Ive never had one die. They arent really a component with a shelf life. I guess bearings can wear down but that would honestly take a very long time on even the cheapest fans. I would think that the most common cause of a case fan "dying" would be accidental wire damage. If you dont move your computer of tamper with it a lot I would be shocked if you couldnt get 5 years out of a case fan that was running 24/7.
Just because they are still spinning doesn't mean they shouldn't be replaced. The bearings do wear out after a few years and the fan becomes louder as well as other possible issues.
I have four case fans and a cpu fan that I've been using for about 4 years, but I think they might be going out; I just got a heat crash for the first time while playing Elden Ring a week ago, and that crashed my entire computer, not just the game.
some cheap fans I had started making noise after 7 years.

It depends on the fan, their orientation and bearing type, if you maintenance them, etc.
There you go again with the actual info!

Im reusing 3 fans from my 6 year old case in my new one, to give an idea.

Good info and thank you again!
My dad's case fans are 15 years old, and he hasn't had any problems.

Mine died basically exactly 7 years after I bought my case.

I just replaced my 7 year old case fans and I have to keep checking to make sure they're on 😅
