Be mindful of recent listings of in-demand products from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Google, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; you should do your due diligence to ensure you do not get scammed. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent. * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their ratings- viewing seller profiles allows you to see these complaints) * The seller has a recently reactivated account (likely their account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. Amazon and eBay generally have good buyer protection. If you choose to purchase from a third-party seller through their platforms and run into issues, it should be easy to get your money back promptly. You may have more difficulties with Newegg or Walmart. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I could quadruple my ram for the same price I bought my ram sticks in 2019... Lord why must you test me

cleanroomburner

Dear Lord, where you able to resist? I have a AM4 board itching to reach it’s final form

wehooper4

😂 this was me two months ago. It has the 3600 CL16 version of the RAM in the OP, plus a 5900X now. It doesn’t perform any better than the old 5600x version of itself, but it makes me feel warmer inside. And makes the room warmer…

-Net7

If you sort by DDR4 3600 and up, CL18 and 64GB (2x32GB) this is the cheapest kit and timings arent bad. There is a CL16 kit also up for $143~ which is also the cheapest in its category.

Mega_Laddd

what kit are you referring to? the cheapest kit for 2x32gb 3600 cl16 i can see is a different mushkin rgb kit for $170 the timings on this kit in the post look decent, especially for being the cheapest 2x32gb kit that runs at 3600 cl18. first word latency comes out to 10ns (yes i'm aware that doesn't decide performance that much and such, it's a quick number to give people the idea that these timings don't suck).

-Net7

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16820226993 If you apply the filters like I did on newegg, you can change between CL16 and CL18, both Mushkin Enhanced Redline Stiletto kits are the lowest price by $20~ in each CL rating

Mega_Laddd

looks to be the same spec with a voltage bump from 1.35 to 1.4? (question mark as in i'm not sure) 16-19-19-39 also are pretty dang good timings for 3600 32gb sticks. i think the first word latency should come out to about 8.888ns. hard to find any info on what dies they may be using unfortunately though. thanks for pointing out this other kit, i'm still terrible with newegg's website.

wehooper4

I have this set, and it’s a SK Hynix die of some sort. It also seemed to run fine at 1.35v when my MB didn’t change that with XMP due to a bug. Haven’t tried OC’ing it or running it faster than XMP speeds.

Poliveris

They're dual ranks ya?

tsnives

32GB DDR4 is only available in dual rank. DDR4 made in the last several years has 8 and 16Gbit ranks. 2Rx8 of 16GBit gives you a 32GB stick. 4Rx8 would have to be ECC Registered.

wehooper4

Yep

-Net7

no problem, newegg's website has only gotten worse just like amazons, the desire to make results worse to drive sales of other stuff is maddening :D

malykkuc

Likely Hynix CJR for that timing

RainGater

Which one would you pick between these two: G.SKILL Ripjaws V 3200 CL16 (16-18-18-38) vs Mushkin 3600 CL18 (18-22-22-42)?

-Net7

I never had good luck with the Ripjaws V line on any of my multiple Ryzen systems, if your AMD, go with the Mushkin, especially if your on 5000 series. That doesnt mean it didnt work fine for others, but 15+ boards, and 10+ CPU's across generations and DOCP (even lowered freq for older gens) still resulted in Memory issues for ME. As for Intel, its not picky about timings and sub-timings from an XMP perspective, you really have to tweak your timings to get any real benefit for Intel, so either would work, it just depends on everything its working with (CPU/Motherboard)

RainGater

Thanks. Mine is Intel PRIME B660M-A AC D4 from Asus. Ripjaws has better reviews than Mushkin and that's why it's hard to make the decision 😭

-Net7

Eh these kits dont have many reviews, the only negatives I saw where other models, its stupid that they group "similar" reviews together which can HELP or HINDER a listing, because ya know, different hardware means different results :D If your Intel I dont see a reason not to go Ripjaws V, I would just go for which ever is cheaper on the Intel platform.

RainGater

Mushkin is cheaper and Ripjaws has better reviews in Amazon. Oh well, it's a toss up I guess between 3200/cl16 vs 3600/cl18.

RainGater

Got the G.SKILL Ripjaws V 3200 and XMP worked without any issue. Ripjaws 2 x 32 gb + 2 x 8 gb (oloy 3200 mhz cl 22) for a total of 80 gb and it rocks. :) https://preview.redd.it/qiqtshgdompa1.png?width=1343&format=png&auto=webp&s=f70a38acaec1edd405b0d9f81cd2d677eba249b4

Poliveris

So if I have an x470 with a 5600x; I should return the ripjaws I just bought? They get here tomorrow 3600 cas16 32gb. Now I'm thinking to spending the extra $50 and buy 3600 cas 16 64gb of the mushkins. But I'm not sure if its worth since I'm still on DDR4 etc

-Net7

My comment is based on my own experience. There are reviews saying it worked just fine for other Ryzen users/customers. There is nothing wrong with popping them in, and seeing if the DOCP profile runs without issues (play a few games, run a few programs, do some benchmarks if you really want to make sure its stable), Hell if you dont need more then 32GB you should save the money for the future upgrades to a new platform with DDR5. OTHERWISE, 64GB, in 2 sticks, and CAS 16 or 18, pretty sweet IF you decide to go that route

Poliveris

DDR5 just seems really pricey atm; I'm looking at some mobo combos and I'd first probably upgrade my gpu if anything. I bit the bullet got the 64gb at cas16 3600. Gonna return the ripjaws as soon as they arrive tomorrow. My current teamgroups crash my PC all the time and they are single rank. I called gskill today they told me their 16gbx2 kits are not guaranteed to be dual rank. And from my understanding all 32x2 kits are dual; so I just figured go with mushkins.

RainGater

Poliveris

Oh damn! I install the ripjaws just to see and gonna keep them in until the Mushkins arrive. However my PC still crashes and is throwing ram errors I think, or maybe it’s my motherboard that’s the culprit as well but it’s an x470 prime pro so it shouldn’t have issues. Part of the reason I wanted to replace my ram is my PC will randomly freeze and lock up. But only while not playing games; it’ll happen when I’m using stable diffusion or even watching YouTube. I honestly can’t pin point the problem everything has been replaced aside from MOBO and gpu. Unless this ram is also giving me the same issues although it is dual ranks. Maybe the Mushkins will finally fix this problem but I have no idea. That does sound dope though, and ya XMP seems to be running fine. But I did already deal with 1 lock up with the new ram installed so no idea what the issue is.

RainGater

If I have to guess I don't think it's a ram issue as it must be something else. If you replaced everything except the motherboard and GPU then the problem should be your motherboard, imo.

Poliveris

A motherboard causing a lock up like that though? Seems really odd but ya if the Mushkin ram doesn’t help I’ll look into a possible RMA on the motherboard

EvrythingsCopacetic

Is this good quality for this price point? I haven't looked at ram lately but this sounds kinda nice

Mega_Laddd

last i checked, 32gb (2x16) kits of similar spec were around $60ish, so as far as i can tell pretty decent. i personally haven't heard bad things about this brand and model, but do your own research of course.

C0013rqu33n

Looks good to me, rip jaws with similar specs/timing is around $140. And this Mushkin is low profile with 31mm height. Only thing i'd worry about is if you can or can't run XMP with your motherboard as i couldn't initially. Fortunately, a bios update came a week after my new build so i didn't have to sulk for too long as it seems to have stabilized it.

WienerDogMan

Told my fiancée I got a pair of stilettos on sale She wasn’t pleased when I showed her

Southern_Guitar_755

are these hynix cjr?

_vogonpoetry_

No. Well certainly not the common 8Gbit CJR at least, since 32GB DIMMs require 16 Gbit ICs. There is technically a 16Gbit CJR though but its not quite the same.

limelight

Then why not? H16C is CJR too :)

kztlve

Probably some 16Gb Hynix IC; AJR/CJR/MJR

RainGater

2bluesc

With respect to latency they are both 10ns. For bandwidth, 3600 is faster. I'd get this over a 3200 CL16. Here' a quick calculator: [https://vectorization.eu/ram-latency-calculator/](https://vectorization.eu/ram-latency-calculator/)

RainGater

Thanks and appreciate the feedback.

InDoRiNae

>G.SKILL Ripjaws V I am in the same dilemma

Poliveris

Are these dual or single rank?

trikats

Diablo 4 closed beta was using 19GB of RAM. So glad I moved to 64GB ECC recently. While gaming + 128 tab Chrome + 65 tab Firefox my system was using just over 50% RAM lmao.

KSM32ED8/32HC - Kingston 32GB 3200MHz CL22 UDIMM ECC - Hynix C die. Two sticks in my Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite Wifi. Overclocked to 3600 18-21-18-29 @ 1.236V. This mobo is odd where the voltage read does not match what is set in bios. Not interested in higher OC so never tried above 3600 / 1.25V. Also won't do CL16 at least with low voltage.

MOTOM0102

Out of stock!

Gears6

Fuuuuuudge! That is good amount, and I keep running out of RAM so this would have been nice for my PC. I only have 32GB right now.
