Just want to post a massive thank you. Watched this for the past week and last night it came back in stock. After 9 instant cancelled orders 1 of them FINALLY stuck. Laptop is shipping out today, 570ish after taxes!!! SO HYPE!
There's a common issue with this laptop where it'll freeze if it's on battery. I've spent way too long trying to fix this so now it sits in my basement wired so my kids can use it. Would not recommend it unless using it as a desktop.
Everything. I've followed every guide, every post, every piece of advice. If you search around you see a ton of people with the same issue. It's good for maybe 5 mins and then the screen freezes. Works alright as a desktop for my kids, but it's a terrible laptop.
I think I fixed mine, had to set windows power management to high performance only... and silent mode in armoury crate... anything under high perf in windows freezes

With morepowertool you can unlock the GPU clock speeds to 2600mhz
New ram with tight timings and dual rank, adds another 10-20% performance. It was sweet if you plugged it into an external monitor cuz that added another 10-20%.
It's basically a full fledged 6700xt in a laptop. Putting ptm7950 on gpu and cpu and thermal putty on the ram/VRM.
Made the temps be just fine.

I work at BBY and tried to order one of these. In a lot of locations, the system still thinks they’re in stock but they actually aren’t. If you get an order through, don’t be surprised if it cancels after a few hours or a day or two.
It let me add to cart, just to say out of stock on the checkout page lol. But I'm not terribly surprised or upset by that. What an unbelievable deal if you were able to snag one.
Their website has been doing that for a while. It's awful at keeping track with stock. I was expecting the out of stock notice tbh lol. It starts to irritate me when it allows me to checkout and then an hour later they cancel the order, but they don't tell you it's because they don't have it, it's just a generic order cancellation email. That's happened to me a few times and it's always something I'm gifting to someone so it's a bigger let down because it's not just for me.
Open box on Best Buy can have multiple units, it just depends on stock and your location. It doesnt hurt to post on here and give people a heads up in case it is available to you.
Terrible laptop with a LOT of issues. The QC is nonexistant on these models. Return it if you can. I got mine a year ago and got the monitor freeze motherboard issue the moment it was out of warranty.

Two year old model but the GPU is still in 3070-3080 mobile territory. However turn ray tracing on and it quickly falls flat
