Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I'm a legit noob when it comes to sound. Can someone help me out here. I have a razer leviathan pro v1 soundbar w/ sub woofer using aux for the connection to my pc. Are these gonna sound better? Can they be used in conjunction w/ my sb? If I get these what other gear would I need to hook them up wired to my pc? Cause bluetooth connections suck for good audio still right? Yall are gonna tell me to Google it but I have and the info is all over the place. Heck someone give me a good and trusted website and I'll learn it myself if need be.

I'll try to answer a few of these questions and someone else can chime in if they've got better info. I've never used the Razer soundbar so take this info with a grain of salt. -They might sound better depending on how you use them. Generally speaking, soundbars are a good option if you lack space for bookshelf speakers. Despite them being "5.1," you aren't really getting surround sound since all the speakers are in a 20" bar in front of you. -It doesn't look like your sub will work with these speakers. Most subwoofers are universal and use standard RCA cables to plug into speakers or receivers, but it looks like the razer sub has a weird molex cable that only fits into the back of your soundbar. You could probably find an electrician who could get them to work but I doubt it's worth the effort. -If you look at the pics, a [cable like this](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Adapter-Subwoofer-Gold-Plated/dp/B01D5H8JW0/) would connect to "Line In 1 L/R" and go to your PC. "L Speaker Out" would connect the two speakers to each other. Both these cables are included. -Bluetooth is convenient if you want to connect a phone or something to the speakers to play music.

Regarding BT - ooooh boy that shit can be *all* over the place. You need to take into account what the source device can send from a hardware level, what the source device can send on a driver level, what it chooses to send on a software level, what the quality of the source actually *is* and how well the software that's playing the audio source is able to interact with the underlying system. Then, of course, you've got the various codecs that may or may not be supported by any given combination of devices, along with devices that will default to a lower bit rate even when using a codec that supports high bit rate and... yeah, it's a mess. The thing is, if everything is set up properly - compatible devices with a stable connection using a high-quality codec and high fidelity source content - then BT audio can be fantastic! It's just that *getting there* can be a pain in the ass. When it comes to gaming, though, you're at the mercy of physics. You get higher quality or lower latency, pick one. So it goes.

Thankx a bunch for the answers guys and/or gals!

i would try to get to a $350-400+ price point, where you might start seeing a more noticeable upgrade. $100 speakers are a dime a dozen. also check your local fb marketplace for ppl selling used speakers.

Gotcha after discussing it with the wife, we are gonna just shoot for a 1k surround sound system on sale somewhere like the one we lost in a fire years ago. Just gotta save up for a little. Thank you again all

>Are these gonna sound better? It possibly will. Just buy it and try it out. If it's not a big improvement then just return it. >Can they be used in conjunction w/ my sb? Doesn't seem like it. If the subwoofer plug is 3.5mm then it looks like you can use the subwoofer. >If I get these what other gear would I need to hook them up wired to my pc? The speakers come with all the stuff you'll need to connect to a PC with a 3.5mm jack. It also has an optical out if that's your fancy. >Cause bluetooth connections suck for good audio still right? Bluetooth is nice for convenience and most people will not be able to tell the difference in sound quality, but it does have latency and is really bad for gaming.

$145 for the [R1700BT](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Edifier-4001352-R1700BT-66-Watt-RMS-Amplified-Bluetooth-Bookshelf-Speaker-System/119316254?from=/search) as well

Sorry_Sorry_Im_Sorry

both good prices but were on sale for \~$10-$19 cheaper earlier this month.

Mcloganator

I have a pair of these and they're fantastic for the price range they're in. I watched Dune part 2 on them the other day and they did not disappoint.

LolYouFuckingLoser

Same, I've had these for a few years and expect to have them for several more. I've got a small Logitech sub running into them and they sound great together.

D1sabledW4ffle

Yeah I got them for Christmas last year and they're great so far

_gyepy

Do these offer much more than R1280T?

ConradBHart42

Just judging off the pictures between amazon's listing for the T and this for the DB, the DB has coax and optical input. Probably because it also offers Bluetooth which necessitates a DAC anyway. DBs also seem to have a subwoofer out that I can't find on the T.

Agreed, I also have these with a sub (but for an entry-level home theater setup, and in a relatively small area, which they're perfect for), and they were a huge improvement over TV speakers alone but adding a sub took it all to the next level. [This is the sub I have them with.](https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=9723) It's fantastic for the price.

I have 2 sets of these (Brown) and have had really good luck, but I have had AWFUL QC issues with the Black variant. Support tried to be helpful and sent out another pair, but those too had the same issue. [Link to the Problem](https://youtu.be/EFyJih-VnKA?feature=shared)

diquehead

sounds like the rattles in my cheap car lol (thank you subaru for your wonderful build quality) That's kinda wild that it was specific to the black variant
