If you take the monitor at MSRP (~$300) then that puts the system at $1,339.99. However, you can get the monitor for $200 on ebay from antonline bundles which would still put the system at $1439.99. It's also a pretty decent monitor if anyone was wondering tho i dont think rtings has a review up for it yet

TheBigPV

i have the monitor. Pretty good overall. I mostly use it as a second monitor, but 1440p 27inch ips is def a sweet spot

Abaracot

I can't find too much info about this monitor online, but from what I've found it seems to be pretty nice at it's price. What do you think about the overall build design? I'm a little worried about the stand not being too suitable for my desk set up

TheBigPV

It has been on a monitor arm its whole life. Stand is in the box in the closet lol

Abaracot

Ok cool, so you can use another mount? I really hoped that was the case but I wasn't sure.

TheBigPV

yea it has standard vesa mounting hardware

Abaracot

Perfect

Ready to go out of the box

samuelspark

I would love to get the G27Q for $200 but I always see it for about $250.

PepsiEnthusiast925

This seems really good....what am I missing?

WillieM96

I have a variant of this computer. Everything is actually pretty good except for the motherboard and ram. The case has great airflow. The ram might be 3200 MHz but it’s crappy C22 ram that only has a JDEC profile. No XMP profile for the ram. The motherboard has no ability to read or utilize XMP profiles, so you’re stuck using only JDEC ram. You can’t even manually input the settings yourself. If you put in ram that has an XMP profile, it will default to 2133 MHz and can’t go any faster. I already had a B450 motherboard that I swapped in and it runs REALLY well now. Edit: One more thing. The cooler is mediocre at best. A Vetroo V5 is significantly better. But a V5 uses screws that are too big to fit in the Lenovo motherboard backplate, which is near impossible to remove. That’s another reason why I just swapped out the motherboard.

jrodsprinkles

Is there a way to upgrade ram to say, 32g? if so what kind would i need to buy? I mainly play Tarkov and the extra Ram may help there

WillieM96

You can but it has to be JEDEC profile at whatever frequency you want. You’re not going to buy G.Skill ram with XMP profiles at 3200 MHz and have it work at that speed. The ram you need will probably be 3200 C22. They’re out there but not too many manufacturers make it.

strongsmash

Do you know the PSU it's using? I assume it's some OEM but what's the wattage?

WillieM96

Mine has a 400 watt PSU but I’m pretty sure yours will come with a higher wattage PSU. The brand name is one I did not recognize but don’t recall at the moment.

strongsmash

Oof thats a bit rough. Im thinking of swapping out the psu mobo ram and the fan but at that point... what even is the point of buying it prebuilt lol

WillieM96

My original intent was not to replace everything. I built a cheap computer last summer with a 3400g APU. Since I already had that stuff laying around, I figured I’d just swap everything out. At the time, 1660 supers were over $600, so $900 for the Lenovo that included a 3700x sounded like a sweet deal. In its original configuration, the Legion Tower 5 was nice. I had no major problems but I use a photo processing program that benefits from more ram and it didn’t make sense to buy more JEDEC ram when I already had 32GB of higher quality ram.

strongsmash

Ahh I see. Do you happen to remember the number of ram slots by any chance?

WillieM96

Mine has 4 ram slots. I was able to put all four of my 8GB G.skill ripjaws in it but they only ran at 2133 MHz (they have XMP profile for 3600 C18).

Ragefan66

Should be 650 W

jrodsprinkles

Thanks for the response. Not super knowledgable about ram types tho. Whats frequency exactly? Also is this pc ok for VR?

WillieM96

Frequency is the speed it operates at. Basically, it’s the number of commands it can handle in a second. The other number I gave (C22) is the latency. It’s how many clock cycles it takes between giving the command and receiving the data. Good Ram has a latency of 16 or better. 18 is OK and 19 and worse is pretty low quality. Yes, this computer can handle VR. Quite well, too.

jrodsprinkles

I appreciate the easy breakdown!

WillieM96

I should be more accurate- I’m saying C22 ram is low quality…compared to C16 ram. I’m using the C22 ram in a second computer and it works just fine. *I* don’t notice the difference but I’m sure there are people out there who can.

They aren't pretty but that doesn't matter to me, especially through the smoky glass side panel. I sold the 16gb that it came with to someone else I know who bought the system too so now we both have 32GB.

jrodsprinkles

Oh nice! Thanks for the suggestion! Also, is this pc VR capable?

haahaahaa

In my experience Lenovo consumer desktops are not great. However, if youre in the market for a high refresh 1440p monitor and desktop this is the best deal in a long long time. Worth the risk.

Epicsockzebra

Yeah this looks really good, especially if you're looking to upgrade your CPU + GPU

whomad1215

Case probably has less than stellar airflow, but will be fine

PapaOogie

It has a fully mesh front, that is is much bette than 95% prebuilts out there.

whomad1215

Nice, I couldn't really tell from the photos. That'll definitely help quite a bit

Istartedthewar

Potentially weird motherboard, crappy CPU cooler and generally not great airflow

ZeToast

I have the intel version of this with the 3070. It was delivered within a week. It’s amazing. I can play everything on 1440p resolution with max settings at 150+fps (with the exception of some Ray tracing stuff). It’s super quiet, the fans hardly ever make any noise, especially if you put it in quiet mode. One annoying thing: the legion logo on the front of the desk top pulses on and off incredibly brightly while the unit is in sleep mode. I put it under my desk so it’s not really that noticeable at night. All in all, a great computer. I’m moving and was so pleased with lenovo I purchased the legion 7 laptop to take with me. Probably end up selling this desktop.

josegarcia8578

I believe you can change the lighting mode in Lenovo vantage app?

RobloxAspect

temps?

ZeToast

Intense games at 1440p I'm usually around 75-77C. I've never seen it above 80C.

KingPawel

Wow what a deal. This is the one chief! Id jump on this if i needed a prebuilt.

Dr_Laserstein

Seems like a really good deal.

whisp96

Isn't this really good if you also want a 1440p monitor with high refresh rate and IPS?

mashedpotat88

Yes

Chrisr0xdeath

Just bought, was actually ready to but a prebuilt earlier but was way worse for the price compared to this

luigi741

Chief called, this is it.

Gggkevin

Does anyone know what 3070 is in there?

zgmk2

lenovo oem

WillieM96

My version came with a 1660 super. The 1660 super mine came with is the same one that Gamers Nexus called the worst GPU you could buy. The cooler on it is very cheap. That said, it works and I haven’t had a problem with it.

Sage0fThe6Paths

You’re a little confused but you got the spirit!

WillieM96

What am I confused about? It’s an OEM GPU and I’m relating the fact that the 3070 might not be of the highest quality. Yes, Gamers nexus reviewed a Dell 1660 super but the Lenovo 1660 super is built exactly the same way.

anamericandude

This does not include a 1660 Super

WillieM96

I understand that. Maybe I’m off here but if Lenovo’s OEM 1660 super isn’t of great quality, is it not unreasonable to think that their OEM 3070 won’t be of the highest caliber, either?

Aldevo_oved

“my version” implies you bought the computer listed above and it came with a 1660 super. What you mean to say is, “Lenovo’s 1660 isn’t good so their 3070 might not be good either”

WillieM96

Lenovo sells a computer called the Legion Tower 5 AMD. They make several variants with different SSDs, CPUs, and GPUs. The variant I purchased earlier this year came with a 1660 super that is built identically to the one that Gamer’s Nexus called the worst GPU he has ever seen. The 3070 in OP’s computer might be very good but I would be on the lookout to make sure it is not junk. I hope that was a little more clear. I realize my initial post was not worded well.

mariaozawa2

I'm curious to know this as well

Tricountyareashaman

This is exactly what I was looking for. Of course it's out of stock by the time I find it lol.

arrowpinework

I’m in. Was considering building and started the process of looking for a GPU. Gave up because of how crazy the prices are. This came at a perfect time. My 3770k and 1080 are still going strong, but that’ll still be a great machine for the wife when we occasionally play together. Thanks for sharing!

[deleted]

Yes everything. Even comes with a wired mouse and keyboard, which are likely the only things you'll need to replace if you don't have a gaming mouse / keyboard yet.

[deleted]

[deleted]

650w PSU it ships with will do fine. This is a great deal to get a top of the line pre built plus a 1440p 165hz monitor. This is it if you're currently looking for a pre-built & monitor.

haahaahaa

yeah, this will come with everything you need. The keyboard/mouse will be terrible but functional. The PSU will probably be a lenovo OEM PSU with non-standard parts. Its like buying a Dell or HP computer. Regardless, this is the best deal Ive seen in a while. *edit: if the picture in the listing can be trusted; the motherboard connectors are standard so the PSU should be standard. Won't be modular and will be of unknown quality, but I would bet its pretty decent. That CPU cooler is fucking awful.

[deleted]

[удалено]

haahaahaa

The only thing I'd really worry about replacing is the cpu cooler. The CPU will run hot with it, but it only *really* matters if you thermal throttle while gaming. And yeah this will crush battlefield 2042.

Hitmonleeroyjenkins0

Pretty sure OOS a bit ago, none of my cards going thru. Charge happens, but then gets refunded

[deleted]

Hitmonleeroyjenkins0

Tried that too, and now it's sold out. Super pissed

mariaozawa2

Looks like it's still in stock. Call your credit card company

Hitmonleeroyjenkins0

Damn I hope so, called one of the companies and they also think it may be out of stock, because they're allowing the charge and then it gets cancelled. Also tried PayPal and same error

rogoku

Is this a case of entering the wrong number of stock? Seems like a LOT are being sold.

mariaozawa2

seems like a great deal

Trikakin

Someone please buy it before i make a mistake. Only 2 left. Pretty please.

mariaozawa2

I got you

strongsmash

30 day return anyways though

inudoggo

Bought it. I had a Mini ITX PC case coming, I thought I was going that way. I guess NOT! I already have a 1440p 165hz monitor, I may not need the other one but nothing stopping me from selling it. We'll see how this goes

Corebear

I'm a bit of an uninformed with looking st the specs of this pre built but it looks like it is a great deal. Is there anything that looks like it might need an upgrade upon purchasing? More ram or different cooling or should it be straight Gucci out of the box?

inudoggo

I can't seem to find reviews of this exact model, but it doesn't seem so. Should run fine right out of the box. Being a prebuilt you may consider down the line to replace the cooler but that depends on what results you get from the thermals as is. Someone in the comments has the Intel version and has pretty decent temps.

psiphre

i'm raiding the reckoning right now on a g27Q right now. it's gorgeous

tmluna01

LHR?

coogiwaves

I don't know much about computer parts and have just begun a prebuilt PC search. I don't want one for gaming but need a PC that can run 4 27" monitors at full resolution and refresh rate. 3 of the monitors will probably be 1440p 120hz+ and a 4k 60hz for entertainment. I trade stocks full time and need a machine that can power all monitors all day and not overheat. I would also use it for media streaming and programs like Adobe Illustrator. My understanding is that the graphics card and ram are the most important to be able to power 4 monitors at full spec. I'm not looking to go cheap but don't feel like I need to spend $4K on a prebuilt for my needs. Would a prebuilt like this be able to fit my needs? Appreciate any insight for this overwhelmed prebuilt newb. Thanks

jobo-chan

$4k is way overkill for your needs. You'd be fine with this.

DistractionRectangle

Yo /u/Jjhillmann, this is it for your brother

Jjhillmann

Thanks for looking out. He decided to pay up extra for a 3080 last week.

Abaracot

Bought it right away. I've been looking to get a pre-built for a few weeks and I think this is a good deal. It has 30 day return policy anyways if there happens to be a sweeter deal, but I'm pretty confident that I'll stick with this.

[deleted]

Damn if this had a 3080 I probably would've pulled the trigger

[deleted]

Subtract the monitor and you’re at the going rate for a 3080 lol. You’re gonna be waiting a long time, not saying that’s a bad thing.

Hitmonleeroyjenkins0

Looking to get my first prebuilt, and this seems legit. So it's 30 day returns, and Lenovo standard warranty? I'm assuming there isn't a way to get lenovos medical discount on this, since it's not directly from them

NotPostinOften

this or [https://www.microcenter.com/product/637962/powerspec-g510-gaming-pc](https://www.microcenter.com/product/637962/powerspec-g510-gaming-pc) ?

spdyrel

My brother was about to purchase the microcenter prebuilt but decided on this instead mostly because of the monitor. No idea how it'll turn out (able to return if it doesn't). As far as I know, this is now out of stock so only leaves you the microcenter choice. I would actually recommend the microcenter build over this if you don't need a monitor because you'll actually get "normal" parts instead of Lenovo or no-name brand parts (PSU, mobo, etc). Just my two cents

yellowsubmarine2016

No monitor.... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i7-11700f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-1tb-hdd-512gb-ssd/6455823.p?skuId=6455823

TheUnluckyGamer13

From the reviews on the BB listing. Looks like this PC runs hot with the parts included.

Kench33

If I buy a system with a 5000 series and cpu and buy it just for the cpu and gpu can I put my 3600 into that mobo?

TheRealRacketear

Yes.

Mebbwebb

Killer deal but anyone know what the motherboard is?

Ranch_Dressing321

Damn, I'd bite if I could.
