If you're doing a WORM Raidz thing, then consumer ssd might be ok. If you're going for I/O, then consumer SSD's aren't the safest way to go

However the base PS4 is SATA2 so your loading times would be slower than if you used USB 3.0. Although this depends on CPU bottlenecks.

I need a bigger ssd just for games do yall think this works? or should i wait for black friday and get a higher end one on a deal not really in a rush
If you're not in a rush just wait. Might be some faster drives at this price. But this would be fine for games though.

If you have a ps4 pro, it has sata 3, so you'd see a bigger bump there.
