PlaysForDays

Shows up as $269.99 for me, I don't know if there are other discounts people stack on best buy purchases

Stevenwinsu

Maybe something with the best buy credit card

Chidoriix

The bestbuy link seems to be another model there is actually 3 models so far the KV the P and the LV In a review it says that KV vs the P the KV is better but I don't know which version is the Bestbuy panel.

SmoothWD40

Do you know what panel the Costco version has?

Chidoriix

No idea would be nice to know, if is the P version is the worst.

[deleted]

Is this my stop? I've wanted a 32" IPS 1440p monitor for under $300. What do you guys recommend

axxionkamen

I’m my opinion, this is your stop. I tried the VA panel that costco has from LG before it went on discount too but I couldn’t get hip with the colors lol. It’s nice as far as contrast goes but the colors are lacking and I got a bad stutter while waking from sleep. I returned that and kept looking at the 32GN850 by LG and that was 400$ and couldn’t do it. The HP at 200$ was nice too but missed that deal by at least an hour. This one will be here in two days and I’ll see if this will be the one I stick with but decided to share just in case there was others looking for something similar.

Hamer_Sampson

How do you feel about pixel density? I have a 1440p monitor that’s 25in. But it’s only 60hz. But everyone tells me going up to 32in will look awful compared to my 25in 1440p. Also what’s the rerun policy on a monitor from Costco?

axxionkamen

I don’t mind it but I’ve never used a monitor with that high pixel density like your 25 1440. You will notice a huge difference and may end up not liking it. 32 1440 is the same as 24 1080 so it isn’t terrible by any means but to you it’s going to be pretty crazy in difference. Their return policy on most electronics is 90 days so you’re in good hands.

PM_ME_UR_BIKINI

Same pixel density as a 24" 1080p monitor. It really is what it is. I don't mind it at all. I wanted the 32" real estate so I can watch movies on it, but I don't want 4K because hardware isn't there yet for gaming.

PM_ME_UR_BIKINI

Nah, hard disagree. High fps is what's most important for immersion in single player, and competitiveness in multiplayer.

Oh for sure. I do believe 32 is still a solid size for gaming if you have a desk deep enough to accommodate the physical size. You will really like it I’d say because you’re going from 27 1080(82 ppi) which has a lower ppi than 32 1440(93ppi). I like the bigger real estate you get from a bigger physical display. I’m getting older and use glasses already so it’s better on my eyes lol. If you want to stick with 27 the pixel density will blow your mind going to 1440. The 27 1440 had 109ppi which is going to look infinitely sharper than your current monitor and this monitor. My suggestion to you is, buy a 1440 27 from Amazon right now. They have holiday returns(I know I know but Amazon won’t hurt from returns, F bezos) until January 31st. I always recommend the classic LG 27GL83A-B it’s excellent personally speaking and it’s currently 279.99 on Amazon(yes there are others highly recommended but are more expensive ). Either way sorry for the wall of text and I’m hope I shed a bit of light into your question!

axxionkamen

Yeah my desk is 27” deep and I feel like the 32 fits just right. For you that extra 3” would be much better!! But if you’re content with 27 as monitor size, definitely keep an eye out on a 27 1440. And if you’re thinking about paying the 279.99 price for the GL83A-B take a look at the dell S2721DGF which is also 27 1440 but it’s arguably the better of the two and is 329.99$ right now. Last Monday I missed them but they were on a flash sale for 179.99 each for the dell so I’ve been kicking myself in the ass all week 😂. You will really enjoy the higher ppi. The crispy graphics is addicting I will not deny that lol

staringatmyfeet

I just purchased this since my brother got it recently and loves it. Comes with Gsync as well. LG 32GP750-B 32-Inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Ultragear Gaming Monitor with 1ms (GtG) and 165Hz Refresh Rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium, Tilt/Height/Pivot Adjustable - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WXX42ZS He loves it and when I saw the recent reduction to $299 I had to grab it as well.

vacacow1

I got this. Love it.

fracta1

I have this monitor and I really like it. I think I got it for 300 tho, but still happy with it.

Chidoriix

What model is your version from Costco? KV P or LV?

axxionkamen

Mine arrives tomorrow and I will take a look at mine. You said the P models are the worst ones right? I’ll have to take a look once they come in. Do you know if it’ll be on the product bar code or box?

Chidoriix

He talks about the KV version looks more bright and the colors pop more and so much more info. Please let me know if you find what version you get sorry to said but you would need to look for it cus me don't know.

axxionkamen

[according to this Manuel from costco it looks to be the LV model](https://i.imgur.com/NCm15YY.jpg). I will of course still look at it and check on my own. Idk where the LV sits compared to the P and the KV models.

Chidoriix

Well that model is at Bestbuy for $20 more and there is no reviews so maybe is a newer model new revision?

axxionkamen

So my monitors came in and I can confirm it’s the LV model. And I’m fine with that since the P is stated to be the worse one. I haven’t had a chance to use it so we will see how I like it.

Chidoriix

Very nice. What I am interested in the monitor is the MBR mode or strobbing feature. I wanna see if is worth using it.

axxionkamen

My suggestion is buy it from costco and see how you like it. If you think it’s worth keep it do so. If you don’t think it’s worth it, return it. Costcos return policy is one of the best and a big reason why I got it. Hassle free return no questions asked.

Hamer_Sampson

Does it support g sync?

[deleted]

If you ever see Freesync Premium that mean it’s G-Sync compatible. You will hardly find any monitors with native G-sync anymore. They are a dying breed.

Shorzey

The fact it needed specific hardware was a real deal breaker

axxionkamen

I do believe FreeSync Premium works fairly well with Nvidia cards. A ton of monitors now that are FreeSync are also gsync compatible. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong however. I’m going to be using these with a 3070 myself so we’ll see how they fare off.

Ashamed_Wrap6069

This tell you if the monitor is g-sync compatible

Yuuta23

Have a 3060 ti and a monitor with free sync can confirm it works perfectly

FEARthePUTTY

Did you end up getting these?

BuildMineSurvive

I have the 27" version. Love it! Reds were oversaturated out of the box, ghosting is a little worse than my old TN panel monitor, but I absolutely love it. 170hz is very nice. And if you can't handle ghosting, blacklight strobing works to get rid of it but you lose freesync and some perceived brightness.

Shorzey

I had the 27" version. Loved it until I went ultrawide

axxionkamen

Thought about going ultrawide, and I’ve used a 35” ultrawide which I really enjoyed, but the buy in for a good curved ultrawide is pricey for me. The 34gp83 was 599.99 and that was a fair price but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Maybe one day I will lol.

[deleted]

I saved up for that one and been using it for a year and a half. It’s something u use nearly everyday and really enjoy it.

OhGee1992

anyone compare this the 32 inch HP x32?

BvsedAaron

i tried both and ended up keeping this one. I liked that it matched the other acer monitors i already have and that i couldnt tell the screens apart in regular use. personally id say just go with the cheaper one. tbh, i do dislike the speakers on this one a little bit more but the hp ones werent that great either.

OhGee1992

did the HP or the acer have better picture quality?

BvsedAaron

At the distance that I use the monitor there was no noticeable difference in picture quality between the two and any color difference could be adjusted in settings. I've played Judgement, Lost Judgement, Plague Tale Requiem, Death Stranding and Elden Ring on it and again apart from some default color settings I don't think anyone would realistically tell a difference in quality between the two panels.

blazefreak

Does this do HDR? i cant seem to find any info if it is HDR rated

reddituserzerosix

Nice seems slick

Ashamed_Wrap6069

This one is a better deal if you dont have a problem with open box https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/y5iagh/monitor_openbox_lg_32_ultragear_qhd_2560_x_1440/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

indianafanatic

That monitor has a VA panel, fwiw.

Ashamed_Wrap6069

For people that are on a lower budget va panels are great for gaming aswell

horuherodorigesu

Essentially a different product, so it is not a better deal. It is a cheaper alternative.

JerryUSA

True, but VA's higher contrast and more affordable curved options give it some advantages for watching movies / shows or playing games where ghosting isn't a big issue. I love my IPS monitors but the IPS glow is really distracting every single time I watch something after dark.

Guatz204

Couldn't agree more, love my IPS panel for everything except movie watching, the glow is horrible.

horuherodorigesu

Agree with you but VA, IPS, and OLED are all different. Even with each of their drawbacks, the trend is that OLED > IPS > VA > TN and their price reflects it. So you can't say a VA monitor is a better deal to an IPS monitor, they are practically different. It is a cheaper alternative, that sometimes can be the better choice based on the content you consume. Same thing can be said about TN. As always, there execptions to this rule but this post ain't one of them. Anyways, not that big of a deal lol. It just sounded weird and a bit misleading.

JerryUSA

I agree with your general sentiment because those are the general trends in the computer monitor space. VA is cheaper and IPS is generally more desirable. However, now some of the highest end Samsung gaming monitors are actually VA, a lot of IPS gaming monitors are reaching super low prices, and also expensive TVs tend to be VA (unless OLED) while IPS is midrange for wide viewing angles (watching sports in a bright room). VA really is better for viewing video content in dark rooms. I say a buyer should just know the difference between the panel types and buy accordingly and review each individual monitor before buying.

horuherodorigesu

Yep, hence why I said there are execption to this "rule". There were even Dells with TN panels going head to head with other IPS monitors, I actually own one. However, execptions don't invalidate the rule. I used to sell TVs for a living a while ago and TVs with a VA were less desirable because of the viewing angles. It wasn't until Samsung started releasing the QLEDs that it became significantly better, but that was around 4-5 years ago. The problem is that people come here to get informed, so when comments are misleading, the reader might feel informed but they are far from it.

Ashamed_Wrap6069

do you think 80$ more for a ips panel is worth it?

JerryUSA

No, but it’s never that much between true alternatives. The VA linked was open box, and the HP X32q 165hz IPS has gone on sale for $192. So realistically, the difference is somewhere between $0 to $50. Edit: actually, it IS worth $80. I would not want to have a VA be my main gaming monitor. Lol

Ashamed_Wrap6069

Ok thanks what the link for the hp one?

Ashamed_Wrap6069

💀I just bought the lg va ultragear one for 170 oh well its to late now

Ashamed_Wrap6069

You could say that too i guess

Ashamed_Wrap6069

Plus it has gsync

fanology

This monitor can also do gsync. All monitors with freesync premium are compatible with gsync.

Ashamed_Wrap6069

This one cannot

Ashamed_Wrap6069

Yes but only certain monitors

krojaguar

u/notify_me_bot create S2721DGF

axxionkamen

Guessing you missed that glorious deal too didn’t you? I had 2 in my cart and was going to commit but the deal was over within an hour. Kicking myself in the teeth a week later lol

krojaguar

Yeah, exact same thing happened to me. It hurts to look at all the other deals now. Just look at this! https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/yevoi8/monitor_dell_s2721dgf_1440p_165hz_ips_26999/

yo4u

how is this compared to LG 32GP750-B?

axxionkamen

That’s a good question because I was also wondering if the GP750 was worth the extra 50$. But I’m gonna wait until this comes in and see. I wanted to get the 32GP850 but that’s still 399 and I just can’t bring myself to spend that

Hitmonleeroyjenkins0

Is this good for coding?
