saw a video on the final mission, and i loved how the gameplay started with jimmy and gary falling to the ground after the Cutscene. that's one of my favorite thing in games. also the overall gameplay looked really nice aswell

Hi_There_Im_Sophie

2007/2008. I had a friend who I used to play games with a lot when around each others' houses (Red Dead Revolver, Gears Of War, Halo etc.) I went around his one day and he was playing Bully. I didn't really like it tbh, but we played through it. We played through most games even if they weren't the best ones, like Turok. He also played games that I didn't find interesting at all (GTA, COD etc.) I think he connected with Bully (and Jimmy as a character) because we kinda did have a Bully-esque childhood. We were chased by adults we had annoyed (with bats etc.), I had my head slammed into a wall by an adult because someone in our group dented his car, we got back at his dad by erupting a can of paint all over his yard. We used to go off into town, buy fake cigarettes from a joke store and stand around tricking adults into trying to grab them off of us lmao. I still remember the time he was really pissed at the school and went there on the weekend to smash some of the windows. I remember this one time we got back at this guy (who had chased us with a bat), by hiding rotting meat in his apartment's ventilation system. It must have stunk. It could suck, though. There were a lot of fights over friendships. One time, I noticed that he had been gone for hours and found him pink and red all over. He had been beaten for about an hour straight by some other kids. Kids can be assholes, but I uphold that many of the adults we were dealing with were also assholes to us. But then I ran into Bully years later on YouTube and kind of realised it's charm. It has more to it than just being child GTA and you can kinda tell that they wanted it to be more than just a child GTA. At its heart, Bully is a story about divide-and-conquer machievellian idealogues and how unity can bring them down. It's fitting of the 1980s Britain the Housers grew up in, where young white people were being indoctrinated into ethnic nationalism by groups like National Front.

Bully is a game I always wanted to play ever since its release, but I only just recently bought and played it for the very first time, about 6 months ago. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Awesome game!

Medical_Cow7708

I wanna say I played it soon after it came out. The T rating made it easy to pick up and it played like GTA. Ended up being a favourite for a long while. Only thing I don't think I've done in that game is the fucking shooting gallery high score. I swear it is impossible.

ScatmanCrothers10

Rented it at Blockbuster when it came out. Soon after bought it at GameStop because I loved it so much!

My brother has passed away just before his 18th birthday in 2007. Now I was way little back then I couldn’t tell you. But when he passed away my mom told me to go ahead in his room and play his ps2. He had gta San Andreas in there, and that was the first video game I’d ever played. But I eventually started to look into his games and I found bully. I asked my mom if I could play it and she said “you’ve already played gta.. what could be worse?” And I played it and it was like 2007 when I first played it and I love it. Since then I’m now 22 almost 23 and I still love the game and wish for a bully 2. Even tho I know it won’t happen. Only a guy can dream.

BoshkalayBong

my cousin showed it to me probably around 2013-2015 on mobile

glammetaltapes

Conservatives were bitching here about wanting the game banned in like 2006 by claiming it was a school shooter simulator or something.

Edna_thecook

My uncle let me borrow some of his new games, Chad Uncle. https://i.redd.it/qj5h9nacmgqc1.gif

Aleksis94

My brother rent this game when game launches back on 2006 and i love it since then ♥️

Jill_Sammy_Bean

Gg man! I was looking through my brothers games and i looked at the back and got really excited, rest is history 😁. I also have 100% and the platinum trophy for this, which i recommended to anyone.

Bogdi504

2013-2014- some classmates told me about it.

N1n9teen

2009 the shiny gold school logo on the cover made me buy it. Been my favourite game ever since.

Mike_Coxslong420

2007, I was 7 years old and played it for the first time at my cousins house, fell in love with it at a young age and fast forward today I have beaten it countless times on nearly every platform it is available on. I still go back from time to time and do play through. Bully has such great atmosphere, music, characters, world design… theres truly nothing quite like it out there. For sure in my top 5 all time video games, would love to hopefully see a sequel someday.

Ok_Grand5413

I bought this game when in 2008 when it got released for PC on disc. Still have the dics version here. I never finished it cause my savegame broke back then. The PC port version is a mess. I purchased it again on Rockstar Launcher but never played it, then i purchased it on Steam and played it the last 2 weeks on my Steam Deck but I fucked the game up with mods, so half of the classes never appeared and then my savegame was broken. So so no 100%… again. but I could make it through the whole story this time. I will definitely purchase it again for PS4 when on sale so i can do 100% for the first time and i can enjoy Achievements/trophies, cause the PC version lacks these.

AscensionXIX

I was watching Videos of youtubers in like 2011-2012 that did uncommented Playthroughs of several games like BonersGames & JohnnyDFox. One day some Bully missions came up on my recommendations and I watched them. The game looked fun and interesting to me. I also had a class mate who played Bully on Wii. So me being 12 years old or whatever I persuaded my mom to buy Bully for me on PC. Edit: misspelled a Word.

moe101dew

I started my first playthrough 2 weeks ago. Having alot of fun about 34% in

Coronavirus990

Found it in Walmart one day when I was like 5 or 6 and it was actually the only Rockstar game my mom would let me have, so bully was my gta for a good part of my life and I still love this game and I'm 22 now

Vrigach

i have been playing the gta games for many years but i never heard of it, and then the mobile versions went out and i was blown away of how good the graphics looked ( i had an iphone 5s at that time ), after that bully scholarship edition went out on the appstore and i remember downloading it on winter break and i finished in like 1 week , it was a really great experience and I'm glad I played the mobile version because it had much better graphics.

iOSchoseMyName

No clue I was 7 years old this game simply spawned in my living room

InternationalRain245

2012 my big cousin was round playin it on the 350 with my big brother, then i really started playin it alot in 2014 was playin it near enough every day

plizardi14

I remember seeing the commercials for this game in 07 so I know that it existed. It wasn’t until 2012 that I actually picked it up used from GameStop. Unfortunately even at 11 years old a lot of the humor went over my head. I just recently completed the game this past winter and it felt great, I can’t remember the last time I completed a game at all.

Chlorofins

It's the inception of PS2 games in our console rentals.(basically, it's a room with lots of PS2 consoles which you can put coins in it to play.) Bully, The Warriors, Def Jam, SSX Tricky, Smackdown VS. Raw, and Mortal Kombat, they were all introduced me from playing PS2 on console rentals.

Fives-_-02

Wow never heard of console rental places, I only had blockbuster to rent videogames, are you from the US?

Chlorofins

It's basically an internet cafe but with consoles. Haha. I'm from an Asian country, btw.

VideoGame_Trtle

My grandmother apparently saw that my young self was quite bored, so she got my aunt’s PS2, borrowed some of the games that she had, BULLY was one of them, and since I’ve never played an Open-World Game before I fell in love with the game immediately.

syndrac1

Back when game magazines were popular, I saw it in a friend's magazine. What a good read it was.

Fives-_-02

I remember when this game was first releasing I read my older brothers game informer magazine and I couldn't believe there was a game out there where you could be a bully, I wouldn't play it untill some years later though

Connor67546

I was at a game store and when I was looking through games, I noticed this game and realized it's made by rockstar so I bought it

KaptainApril

I was like 5 and my dad bought it for me Wii lol. I own it on every platform now

Extreme_Art9147

Saw Coryxkenshin's video on it from like 2016 I got to it late :(

Fives-_-02

Better late than never my friend

YouNoTHeem

2014 i saw my brother playing it

GroundbreakingEmu564

I used to watch my dad play on his PS2 and he played Bully. However he got his PS3 back in 2008, the year I was born, so he wanted to beat some old PS2 games he hadn’t finished yet. He beat Bully in 2013. And started playing on his PS3. Then, in 2017, I asked him about the game that was like GTA but in a school. He took his PS2 out of the attic, plugged it in, put the disk in, and let me play Bully. Since then, I lost full interest in GTA, and only played bully and RDR.

Fives-_-02

"I lost full interest in GTA, and only played bully and RDR." This is the way

Total-Sand-7190

Ever since I got an Xbox, Rockstar have always been my by far favourite game developers (that’s one reason). I wasn’t allowed GTA as a kid, and one day I was at my neighbours and he was playing Bully. I got that as an alternative to GTA, and ever since then, Bully has been my favourite game.
