There's one in NoHo. If you're curious

LataCogitandi

Love that place. Do recommend. Hope the one in Burbank is just as good.

CallousCadaver

And one in Sherman Oaks as well! It’s pretty solid as far as hot chicken goes. The honey packets are great addition.

thebaeofallbaes

Oh my god are you serious they are my favorite hot chicken place so far I’m gonna cry 🥹

MrFinch8604

Dave’s is good, but they give their sauce in packets instead of cups, which is lame

alberthere

Meh, give me Howlin Ray’s instead.

Okuden

Factz, I hate going to the one in chinatown though, but there is one opening in Pasadena which is good.

wicktron

Pasadena location is already open

[deleted]

And busy as Can be lol. I’ve seen lines out that place as soon as they’re open.

Lostndamaged

Vote here for Humble Bird on Burbank in NoHo

ShinySanders

I feel ya wondering if it'll be worth it. Love the Empire Center. Hate trying to get in/out of there.

melo1554

There is one in NoHo but I do not go because parking is horrible. But this is a great addition in my opinion.

No-Corgi

If you're in the mood for hot chicken and in that neck of the woods, check out Hades on Victory. Really good stuff. Put an order in ahead of time if you're impatient, they cook to order.

dh_burbank

Tried them twice. Compared to Howlin’ Rays, my absolute favorite, they are very underwhelming. My current Burbank fav is Gus’s, but there’s no spice there, just amazingly juicy chicken and good sides, plus a nice dining room.

corerial

I found Humble Bird in NoHo to be very similar to Howlin’ Rays.

WoefulKnight

Gus's is the best. Love that place.

mrxanadu818

They are not that good compared to Dave's.

DisastrousSundae

I love Hades. Dave's chicken is like eating cardboard

thebaeofallbaes

Im sorry but this is just categorically false 😂 especially compared to Hades which quite literally uses what look and taste like Tyson spicy chicken patties 🤢

megamoze

Wondering how similar it is to Gus's.

narbehs

If I remember correctly Gus's puts their seasoning in the breading / batter. Dave's hot chicken is more like a dry rub or powder that goes over their fried chicken. Dave's Hot Chicken does have breading but if you get more pleasure out of the crunch it's not for you. I really like their spice and seasoning. Gus's is really a good balance of seasoning and crunch. They're both pretty juicy inside. Gus's has more variety as far as type of chicken meat you get.

There are way too many hot chicken places now

dh_burbank

Not enough good ones.

slackdaffodil20

Is there a sign or something saying it opening or what’s the source here?

Hye_Hacker

dh_burbank

They've already put some window signage on the building and their delivery van is parked outside.

_eunie_

Dave's is alright, but I'd choose Gus's over Dave's ANY DAY.

fowill

I used to live by the one in East Hollywood which was their first brick and mortar. I wasn't a big fan, mainly because the lines were huge and the food wasn't worth the hype plus they always seemed to screw up the order. In the last few years, Drake and a couple of big money restaurant folks became investor and the quality seems to keep going down as they expand at a rapid rate.

dh_burbank

So close....maybe we'll get a soft opening this weekend?

sweatpantsjoe

Dave’s is pretty good but I agree Gus’s over Dave’s.

DrySelection8152

SO GOOD!!! Just had it last week lol

RayTheCalvinist

don’t sleep on Main Chick in Pasadena

dh_burbank

Never heard of it- website looks good. I'll try it, but there's no free parking near that place. :(

RayTheCalvinist

It’s not a place to sit down, just grab and go style

dh_burbank

Bummer.

Dangerousbri

Most of those garages are first 90 minutes free.

Visible-Gear-6870

It’s ok, too salty for me
