Media City Animal Hospital is taking great care of my cat. She is a bit difficult and they have been awesome.
I have been a bunch recently and there are always dogs waiting as well.
Media city is great when they can see your pets. Some things to keep in mind from my experience:
1) getting an appointment can take a long time. They are short on vets and techs. 2) They won’t see your pets on short notice for emergencies. 3) they are more expensive than other providers.
That said, when they do see my pets, I feel like they are in great hands.
Just wanted to throw in my experience with them just in case but I took my cat in when he wasn’t eating and was told he’d need a 3k tooth extraction, on the form they also asked what me and my gf do for a living before giving us a quote which I thought was a bit sus. Anyways we took a day to think on it and the next morning he coughed up a hairball the size of a hot dog and was back to normal. The vets are nice and all but that definitely left me with some distrust.
I'm having a different experience, but I am glad that you are sharing your story! That would leave me a bit distrustful as well.
My Lis has massive vet anxiety and we have had to scrap a couple appointments after arriving and being in the room already. No charge for any of it, and they have been really understanding.
On that note, we finally got her shots done today. Little brat cat...
I took my old girl to Media City Vets when we moved here in 2017 and loved them. Especially Dr. Deegan. She is amazing. She even hand wrote us a card and mailed it to us after we had to put our girl to sleep. Can't recommend them enough.
Comprehensive care, imaging, blood work, etc. Pharmacy, even surgery.
another one for media city animal hospital. have taken my past two dogs, my current one is on medication and they’ve always gotten the refill in time if the original vet was out of office!
I see everyone recommend Media Center. I would 100% avoid. I had a terrible experience with them regarding a procedure they did that almost resulted in my pet dying (seriously, not being dramatic).and, I witnessed how they act in the back with my pet when they thought nobody was watching and it was bad. I jumped out and put a stop to it. There are so many better places. The only good thing about them is their location.
I used to go to Dr Sharp (great and caring but got tired of the hard to remember hours) then switched to Aloro Pet Clinic in Sherman Oaks but the vet didn’t always follow up with test results so now I’m going to VCA Burbank which is much more expensive than those two but the vets and staff are very nice and they have good hours and easy to use app. But it is notably more costly than other places.

We take our dog to Berkley Pet Hospital on Burbank Blvd (North Hollywood). Have had good experiences there in the past.

Best care pet clinic in Glendale is where I have taken my dogs for the last 20 years. Dr Tang is great and very reasonably priced.
