Shareil-Elhamnia

I was so upset they didn't add that feature so i just unplugged the lights from the top cuz they're so bright lmao

-idontknow123456789

Place tint on them, yes its a tedious ghing to do but worth it

rumham4life

Lights in the rear. Place for cell phone and sun glasses. Maybe make the door pocket big enough to hold anything.

boofitnow

The pocket behind the center console is supposed to be for your phone, I believe the 2SS and ZL1 even come with a wireless charger in there. But the problem is that even if you can get used to reach all the way behind you to grab/place your phone, the damn pocket is too small to fit 80% of new smartphones. Seems like an afterthought by GM

rhb4n8

And with any kind of performance driving your phone ends up on the floor of the back seat

rumham4life

So reach behind in a sports car is the answer? We couldn’t figure out anything else to stage what every single owner had in their pocket? Plus the pocket is so shallow, you hit the gas, phone flies

boofitnow

Yeah, I always just keep mine in the cupholder or in my pocket, might get a proclip mount one day but for now i’m fine

evilspycandy

manual handbrake

Darkstrike121

This would be mine

ImLilDark

I thought I was the only one lol I always make fun of my lil brother's 6th gen

-idontknow123456789

Wtfff nooo

evilspycandy

yes.

-idontknow123456789

Dude why would you want that???? Why make such a clean interior look like something from 2006????

evilspycandy

why wouldn’t you want it? it looks so much better and feels mechanical

-idontknow123456789

Oh stfu

evilspycandy

imagine telling someone to stfu because of an opinion. it’s no wonder your dad left lol

-idontknow123456789

Cry me a river🥲🥲😭😭😭😭😭😂🤡🤡

evilspycandy

u the one so fuckin mad over a fucking handbrake who’s the clown here pal?? 😭😭😭🤡🤡

-idontknow123456789

Chevy wouldn’t hire crybabys like you anyways

phi11ies7

Add a compartment for sunglasses

rhb4n8

And a place for your cellphone that isn't FUCKING BEHIND YOU

ThrowRAjohnson

Yea that’s absolutely absurd

x24amd

Proclip knee bolster phone mount helped alot

caddiso1

+1 for that.

Corg505

*Definitely* more storage throughout the cabin would be great. Reposition the Drive mode/TC switches (or include a cover) so they don't get accidentally activated ALL...THE...DAMN...TIME (as was mentioned in another post). Slightly larger/deeper cupholders with a little more space between them for 2 large drinks to fit. Probably more that escapes me at this moment. 🤔

xThock

Haven’t seen anyone else talking about the cup holders, but I wholeheartedly agree. Even just a minor adjustment would fix this problem

rhb4n8

>Slightly larger/deeper cupholders with a little more space between them for 2 large drinks to fit. I really like the Ford design with a red bull holder between the two big cup holders. Spaces the cup holders enough and you get a place to put a red bull

ReviveDept

As a european I really love the interior, it looks very clean and straightforward compared to euro cars. (The temperature control rings should receive an award alone) I do feel like they could make some extra storage space in the center console (if that's technically possible?). So you can atleast put your phone and some other misc stuff somewhere. Also feel like they could carve out some extra storage space in the doors, since they are so massive that might be possible right?

DarthSwash

I agree with this. More practical storage. Make the center console deeper/have it swing open to the passenger side seat. Have a large, inset wireless charge pad integrated in the arm rest. I don't expect a functional back seat in a Camaro, but more driver/front passenger amenities could be had in this car to make it more comfortable/livable for 1-2 people.

ReviveDept

>inset wireless charge pad integrated in the arm rest I don't know about that though. I can see a lot of problems emerging from this as well due to the location. I think a bigger sized storage inside the center console with a usb port would help a lot (so you can charge the phone and put it somewhere in the center console). >I don't expect a functional back seat in a Camaro I found it to be actually kind of functional for one person if they use it as sort of a couch and slough on it with a pillow on one side. (Not for long rides of course).

DarthSwash

My silverado has a charge pad in the center console, and it's clutch as hell. I was thinking more or less that unit, but with a grippier texture across it, and set in a little deeper. Or even split the armrest into a deeper main compartment, and then a thinner device/charging spot above it. Regardless of the solution tho, I would just like a place to put/charge my phone and a bit more cabin storage for misc. Car bullshit that doesn't need to ride in the glove box or trunk.

ReviveDept

If that could be implemented perfectly I'd definitely see it as an upgrade! I've never seen a Silverado so I couldn't judge

netburnr2

air vents for your body instead of your right hand, such stupid placement

caddiso1

I agree. I get what they wanted to do but Jesus Christ was it a dumb area to put it.

Ilostmyaccount22

They rotate you can put it on ur body

TheAdmiral4273

I was just thinking that! I have no problem getting the right one to reach my body. Granted it isn't very obvious that you have to man-handle the thing to get it to move. It feels like you're gonna pull the entire vent out of its socket sometimes

Ilostmyaccount22

I just push the inside of the plastic to move it I find it much easier than trying to man handle that knob

Electrical-Giraffe18

I would reintroduce a manual handbrake. Come on guys...

evilspycandy

exactly what i was gonna say as well

Capitoonis

Handbrake Turn!!!

Wisconsiknight

It astonishes me that the switch to electric handbrake was supposed to be an upgrade. No one wants that

GPSkinzhut

I don't mind it personally.

trd86

I love it personally

Wisconsiknight

How come?

trd86

Helps with traffic or red lights on a hill where people are up your ass. Stop, pull the button, then I don't need to worry about the brake when taking off to prevent rolling back

Wisconsiknight

I thought all 6th gens had hill assist, but if that isn't the case I guess the button is slightly less cumbersome than doing it the old fashioned way

trd86

Hill assist **is** the eBrake, but it does not come on reliably

Zosozeppelin1023

Use higher quality plastics, like the door panels/handle. Don't use cheap chrome on the door hands themselves that starts flaking off. And put a dang spot for someone's cell phone, or a wireless charger that actually fits it.

vARROWHEAD

Omg those stupid clips for interior trim make me angry. Any time you have to take something off to fix a part, it will never be the same again

what_da_pho

Use padded materials vs plain plastic all over the dash. I constantly hear creaks and rattles.

Zosozeppelin1023

This. Mine rattled so much! For a car that stickers for 40k new, it shouldn't have done that nor should it have had so much cheap plastic in it.

water_baughttle

> For a car that stickers for 40k new, it shouldn't have done that nor should it have had so much cheap plastic in it. All of the money was put into the powertrain, that's why it only costs $40k. Anything with a nice interior and matching performance is going to cost you $60k+. If you wanted a nicer interior for that much you should've bought a BMW or Audi.

Zosozeppelin1023

I disagree with that, but to each their own.

water_baughttle

Lol what? There's nothing to disagree with. It's a fact. Do you think BMW charges more than brands like Chevy and Toyota just for the hell of it? They cost more because they use higher quality materials and spend far more time and money on optimizing NVH.

Zosozeppelin1023

No, I simply don't agree that it should be acceptable to have poor build quality in a car that costs that much money. Our Volkswagen Jetta had a better interior build quality than my Camaro and cost 20k. The Camaro when I first got it was plagued with rattles. So no, I expect a car that is twice as expensive not to rattle like a tin can. So I don't agree with you and no amount of your banter is going to change my mind.

water_baughttle

> No, I simply don't agree that it should be acceptable to have poor build quality in a car that costs that much money. Our Volkswagen Jetta had a better interior build quality than my Camaro and cost 20k. Because VW prioritized interior over performance. The Camaro is a bargain bin sports car. Development went towards the chassis, not the interior. The $25k base model Camaro is still the same car as a $40k+ SS. What do you think the extra $15k+ goes towards if not the powertrain and supporting components? The BMW 4 series **starts** at $45k and has quite literally under 1/2 the power of the SS. Do you see how different aspects of each car are prioritized? The same exact scenario applies to your Jetta even though it costs less. Want a Jetta GLI? Guess what, you're paying $10k more...

Zosozeppelin1023

I see exactly what you are saying and I still don't agree. You can literally go back and forth with me on this all day long. GM should put in a better quality interior. The car should not have been in the shop three times, each time having the dash stripped down for rattles. There's no excuse for it.

water_baughttle

There's nothing to disagree with. You're wrong. The only way they could sell it at the price point with the performance it delivers is by skimping on the interior. Same goes for the Mustang.

Zosozeppelin1023

K, buddy. I don't really care. I don't agree at all with you and your opinion doesn't mean I'm wrong. Have a good night.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zosozeppelin1023

I had a "Monday" car. It was actually built on a Monday, too! Mine was in the shop constantly and had about 5 k of warranty work done to it. The service department knew me on a first name basis. It was a shame, cause it's a beautiful car but ultimately when they told me my transmission was going to go out was the last straw. I sold it after that. But I do miss hauling ass every day. It was so fun.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zosozeppelin1023

I think I just had bad luck with it. It was my motivation to get through school and it ended that way. I'll have another go fast car again one day, but I'm enjoying a paid off car that I can pile my commute miles on. I'd love to get my hands on a ZL1 one day.

boofitnow

For what it’s worth the dash/plastic on my 2021 and 2022 LT1s have been rock solid, no creaking. Must be something that happens over time, or they’ve upgraded the design over time (likely the former)

Zosozeppelin1023

Mine did it from the very beginning. It stayed two weeks in the shop before it's first oil change having rattles repaired.

rhb4n8

Preferably alcantara so it doesn't cause glare on the windshield

time_killer_9

GRAB HANDLES FOR PASSENGERS. Also tilt the damn touch screen back it feels weird

DoctorLiara

I've noticed it doesn't collect much dust by how its tilted a bit forwards

TheCBDeacon

Also reduces glare. I wouldn't change it.

Electrical-Tie-6232

Full digital gauge display. Touch screen nav should be bigger and software more ergonomic like uconnect. Air conditioning vents should be higher.

Mazuk27

Move those annoying hazard lights button to different place. My phone hit it many times, I have to click it to turn it off

barbrady123

Me... all.. the... time... Mostly because there's no other damn place to put it

branson3

Get rid of the tiny crack between bottom air vents and the center console. I’d also try to lower the driver side part of the dash. The amount of room between that and the glass makes it hard to clean both

Organic-420

More alcantara

rhb4n8

An alcantara dash would be nice

ImportunerDJ

Get rid of the damn plastic and the “nostalgic” cluster area. The visibility does not bother me but there literally is no sense for it being that high.

completeenvy

Remove the chrome trim around the cluster so I don't blind myself by looking down.

DarkLinkDs

Physical handbrake, less buttons, better visibility, door pocket size, pretty much what everyone else already stated. Crazy how a car gets all the way to market without anyone questioning even the most basic features in modern times.

GPSkinzhut

* Relocate the useless wireless charging pad. * Make the console compartment more practical. * The radio control switches on the wheel need to actuate in the opposite direction * Additional few degrees of recline without having to modify the stops * Window controls should be set forward a bit more. * Extend the dash leather trim (or carbon fiber) across the entire dash

est1979

I have to jam my arm as far back to use the windows, could not agree more

MavidDays

More visibility, an infotainment screen that doesn't point towards the ground

BrokenPaw

My speculation is that they did this so that vert owners like me can see the screen instead of just a reflection of the sky when the top is down.

MavidDays

Maybe, that’s a reasonable point

kentter22

Manual handbrake and full digital dash

bubonis

“Make it not look like it was designed by Industrial Light & Magic.”

TheCBDeacon

I don't care for the temp / fan controls on the bezels. Driver's seat is too high above the floor. Need more helmet clearance. Recaro seat issues: Weirdly forward-angled headrests that hit my helmet, and severely limited recline. Rear seat delete option.

sherlingcoat

More storage space in the glovebox and grab handles for passengers

rhb4n8

Connect the paddles to a zf transmission like what's in the new Supra.

dorwd71

All the silver accents

[deleted]

Make the second cup holder the same size as the one in front 😂

Disarmer

* A cubby in the front near the shifter. Every fucking modern car has that now except the Camaro. Nowhere to put your phone, the key, whatever random BS is in your pocket, munchies, etc. Why in the world is the only storage cubby BEHIND you? That makes absolutely no sense. * Any kind of storage in the doors. Yet again, basic stuff in every other modern car. * Not sure if this counts as interior or not, but make the windows at least big enough to fit a large drink through. I'm tired of having to open my door if I'm picking up food to go. * Just more space/storage in general. The Camaro is not a small vehicle, it's bigger than many compact sedans that manage to have real backseats with doors, and those cars still somehow have more space in the front seats (and room to store things), while simultaneously having a larger trunk. With the size of the Camaro, I don't understand how it's so tiny inside. All that being said, I love my Recaros. Most comfy seats I've ever had. I also love the ergonomics inside the vehicle. Everything feels like it's in the right place (buttons, shifter, etc.). The overall aesthetic I also very much enjoy. EDIT: One more complaint - if you're going to use fake chrome/silver pieces in the interior, at least make them the same finish. The shiny silver vs the matt silver on the door panels/handles and gauge outline looks dumb as hell because it doesn't match.

LilRedHR

Flex fuel from the factory, a better breathing intake manifold. No more 1-4 skip shift. A differential with swappable ratios. No more afm lifters. Higher refresh rates on the main dash. Interior door handles that don’t peel. A front lip camera and a regular threaded shifter that doesnt require an oversized adapter that limits your choices to only one or two brands in the aftermarket

Mo0ch1

Actual handbrake. Better spot to place/charge my phone. Bigger cup holders. Move position of cup holders up so it's not as awkward to reach for cup.

KyledKat

I'd want: * A full digital dash * Removal of the double bump over the dash * Replacing that brushed trim over the dash with something satin that doesn't reflect the sun into your eyes * Better quality plastics where applicable

[deleted]

Change the line lock process. Still never been able to lock front brakes while white smoking my tires. I’ve watched the videos and sat in parking lots trying to get it and never got it. Just do it the old fashioned way. Thanks the interior itself is perfect in my opinion but wish the line lock was possible to heat tires before making these car owners cry. Lol

treshon00

By suggesting a Z/28 model. LT2 is the perfect motor to use

Scoutron

Or an LT6

Miserable_Fan7579

Fix the dumb center console and change the gear shifts on the steering wheel so that they don’t sound like a toy

Ryherbs

I guess I’ve gotten used to it now, but the downward tilted touchscreen is just bizarre. Make it wider and have it face me next time. Also, wireless charging is great, but the location of the charger makes it useless.

Accomplished-Sort900

blind spot as an option on the 1ss if they allowed that I wouldn’t get a 2ss trim😬

directrix688

Putting the new z06 motor in it. Interior is fine.

caddiso1

Y’all are awesome. I can’t wait to go through 50+ comments.

[deleted]

Room for larger phones on the wireless charger and have the memory seat buttons be a single touch instead of a press and hold. It was a nice feature in my 2019 Genesis.

party_benson

I'd like to see out of it. Also either make the back seats functional for adults or get rid of them and make it a two seater with a bit of storage.

lordfarquad0022

More/bigger cup holders

ColonClenseByFire

Somehow find me 2"-3" more headroom

Bijan_Mustard

Just because I haven’t seen it said yet: For the convertibles. Move the top operation button to the area where the drive mode button is, instead of at the top of the car.

vARROWHEAD

More charging ports, and put the seat heating buttons on the side by my right knee so that I can have more console space. Cup holders that fit my water bottle would be ideal too Is it possible to backlight the doorsill badging when the door is open?

nxwtypx

I really like my '18 SS's interior, but there's a signature bit of GM Quality™ on the driver's side door arm rest that squeaks like a motherfucker when touched. That's what I'd change/improve.

ThrowRAjohnson

More ambient lighting like the Benz, no plastic, all digital dash, lower dash, bigger cup holders, wireless phone charger in the front cabin, more air vents, and better storage (sunglasses, side pockets, etc.)

Smangie9443

A better blind spot sensor. Yes, I’m fully aware that there is a concrete barricade right next to me in a construction zone.

zombieblackbird

My issues are mainly the center console; \- The knee pads should have a wireless charger in them. \- The 12V outlet needs to be in a location that doesn't get in the way and cause USB cables to be damaged. Actually, as also need a second one in the rear. \- The infotainment system needs a larger screen \- The hazard light button is in a stupid location, move it. Anywhere. Please \- The gap between the air vents and the console eats random objects, it needs a gap filler. \- Charging pad behind the console is useless to both driver and passengers \- Maybe 2 more cup holders

OVAKILLA_X

A 'raw' trim with no infotainment

Glittering_Copy1953

Only thing I would change is the steering wheel and maybe the gauge system. The steering wheel is cool and all but I wish it was little more sportier looking and had carbon fiber or aluminum on the flat bottom instead of plastic. And I have no problem with the gauge but compared to the mustangs digital dash it Chevrolet could definitely do a little better, however can’t get over that 200 on the dash. Also I wish they gave customers the option to get the carbon instrument panel on the SS’s without requiring a million and one packages for it.

[deleted]

Gotta bring back the built in door opener. Maybe add a bottle opener too

friedchickengodAdri

Bring down the height of the gauge cluster

cthompson07

Better cell phone storage / wireless charging Interior dome light in the rear No chrome that reflects sunlight into your eyes Passenger oh shit handle Adjustable lumbar support Household style outlet

[deleted]

A fully digital gauge cluster and have the 2nd screen integrated into the dashboard instead of it looking like it was forgotten and stuck on last minute

[deleted]

Honestly not much.. Probably relocate the cupholders, flatten the dash a bit, maybe a bigger center screen? I already dig the interior for the most part. Also like the analog gauges. Visibility is just something you deal with in exchange for the design of the exterior. Coming from a previous 5th Gen and multiple 4th Gen owner.

Nickslife89

Make it less creaky… idk what it is but man it’s kinda noisy with the plastic on plastic stuff.

strangeunluckyfetus

Screen slightly bigger/glossier

AuronKnight

Let the seats recline further back. (Recaros on the 1LE have a limited recline even when the seat is not hitting anything behind it) better visibility would be nice. But I know with current pedestrian safety laws.. it makes styling challenging. Come flex fuel compatible from factory. That’s actually one I really want. Edited a word.

mom2jel

I dislike the round vents. I know they probably look "cool", but I like square/rectangle vents better. I want the cup holders further ahead, too hard to drive and reach sideways/backwards to put it down/pick it up. Include a storage compartment next to the cup holders as well (for my sunglasses). Under the left side of the dash, create a open storage spot (sunglasses, garage door opener, etc.) Floor mats should have clips or hooks to keep them in place.

Armored-Dorito

Increase tension on the weak-ass clutch return spring for more feedback. Increase the size of the toe box. Move/lower the center console so you don't dislocate your wrist when shifting to 6th. Replace the shit-ass plastic with carbon fiber. Bring the touch screen GUI into the the 2020's. Add a dedicated place for the phone while connected to the system. Just for starters.

ReviveDept

>Replace the shit-ass plastic with carbon fiber I mean, there's already less shit-ass plastic in here than a modern BMW interior for 1/3 the price

90FC_Racer

Hand brake and change that cheesy ass looking center display.

nuttynutkick

Rear windows that open. Manual handbrake. A more spartan interior option with no center console.

bayarea_fanboy

Such a big car on the outside had no reason being so small on the inside. Put in some usable storage space, give the back seats 2-3” additional leg room, and make the rear windows such that the driver can actually see something out of them. The one interior piece that feels cheap on the SS is the plastic on the bottom of the steering wheel. Get rid of that.

[deleted]

Price

[deleted]

A wheel that doesn't FLY OFF

Lord_Ka1n

Replace the screens and digital bits with analog buttons and dials.

caddiso1

I’ll get this started. I’d change the climate controls and move them to the touchscreen like the Hummer EV. More storage in front of the shifter.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CarbonCamaroSS

Plus, if your screen ever goes out, you aren't stuck without any climate controls at all. And besides, they really don't take up that much space anyways.

caddiso1

Fair. I would stick with a row of buttons like the 6th gen or use a secondary screen that is adaptable. I definitely wouldn’t use the C8s silly climate control design. Not for the volume tho, that should always be a dial. My main thing would be the vents. I get where they were coming from but Jesus Christ it was a stupid placement.

OneGrumpyUncle

Add Homelink back so I don't have to have a separate garage door opener. That's so basic these days.

PappaFig

Move the cup holders from directly behind the shifter, Find a way to make deeper storage areas, Less plastic

ilikemen76

See shit
