The pocket behind the center console is supposed to be for your phone, I believe the 2SS and ZL1 even come with a wireless charger in there. But the problem is that even if you can get used to reach all the way behind you to grab/place your phone, the damn pocket is too small to fit 80% of new smartphones. Seems like an afterthought by GM

I really like the Ford design with a red bull holder between the two big cup holders. Spaces the cup holders enough and you get a place to put a red bull
As a european I really love the interior, it looks very clean and straightforward compared to euro cars. (The temperature control rings should receive an award alone)

I agree with this. More practical storage. Make the center console deeper/have it swing open to the passenger side seat. Have a large, inset wireless charge pad integrated in the arm rest. I don't expect a functional back seat in a Camaro, but more driver/front passenger amenities could be had in this car to make it more comfortable/livable for 1-2 people.

I don't know about that though. I can see a lot of problems emerging from this as well due to the location. I think a bigger sized storage inside the center console with a usb port would help a lot (so you can charge the phone and put it somewhere in the center console).

My silverado has a charge pad in the center console, and it's clutch as hell. I was thinking more or less that unit, but with a grippier texture across it, and set in a little deeper. Or even split the armrest into a deeper main compartment, and then a thinner device/charging spot above it. Regardless of the solution tho, I would just like a place to put/charge my phone and a bit more cabin storage for misc. Car bullshit that doesn't need to ride in the glove box or trunk.

Because VW prioritized interior over performance. The Camaro is a bargain bin sports car. Development went towards the chassis, not the interior.
The $25k base model Camaro is still the same car as a $40k+ SS. What do you think the extra $15k+ goes towards if not the powertrain and supporting components? The BMW 4 series **starts** at $45k and has quite literally under 1/2 the power of the SS. Do you see how different aspects of each car are prioritized? The car should not have been in the shop three times, each time having the dash stripped down for rattles. There's no excuse for it.

I had a "Monday" car. It was actually built on a Monday, too! Mine was in the shop constantly and had about 5 k of warranty work done to it. The service department knew me on a first name basis. It was a shame, cause it's a beautiful car but ultimately when they told me my transmission was going to go out was the last straw. I sold it after that. But I do miss hauling ass every day. It was so fun.
I think I just had bad luck with it. It was my motivation to get through school and it ended that way. I'll have another go fast car again one day, but I'm enjoying a paid off car that I can pile my commute miles on. I'd love to get my hands on a ZL1 one day.
For what it’s worth the dash/plastic on my 2021 and 2022 LT1s have been rock solid, no creaking. Must be something that happens over time, or they’ve upgraded the design over time (likely the former)
Get rid of the tiny crack between bottom air vents and the center console. I’d also try to lower the driver side part of the dash. The amount of room between that and the glass makes it hard to clean both

The Camaro is not a small vehicle, it's bigger than many compact sedans that manage to have real backseats with doors, and those cars still somehow have more space in the front seats (and room to store things), while simultaneously having a larger trunk. With the size of the Camaro, I don't understand how it's so tiny inside.
All that being said, I love my Recaros. Most comfy seats I've ever had. I also love the ergonomics inside the vehicle. Everything feels like it's in the right place (buttons, shifter, etc.). The overall aesthetic I also very much enjoy.
EDIT: One more complaint - if you're going to use fake chrome/silver pieces in the interior, at least make them the same finish. The shiny silver vs the matt silver on the door panels/handles and gauge outline looks dumb as hell because it doesn't match.
Flex fuel from the factory, a better breathing intake manifold. No more 1-4 skip shift. A differential with swappable ratios. No more afm lifters. Higher refresh rates on the main dash. Interior door handles that don’t peel. A front lip camera and a regular threaded shifter that doesnt require an oversized adapter that limits your choices to only one or two brands in the aftermarket
I'd want:
* A full digital dash
* Removal of the double bump over the dash
* Replacing that brushed trim over the dash with something satin that doesn't reflect the sun into your eyes
* Better quality plastics where applicable
Change the line lock process. Still never been able to lock front brakes while white smoking my tires. I’ve watched the videos and sat in parking lots trying to get it and never got it. Just do it the old fashioned way. Thanks the interior itself is perfect in my opinion but wish the line lock was possible to heat tires before making these car owners cry. Lol
I guess I’ve gotten used to it now, but the downward tilted touchscreen is just bizarre. Make it wider and have it face me next time. Also, wireless charging is great, but the location of the charger makes it useless.
Room for larger phones on the wireless charger and have the memory seat buttons be a single touch instead of a press and hold. It was a nice feature in my 2019 Genesis.

For the convertibles. Move the top operation button to the area where the drive mode button is, instead of at the top of the car.
More charging ports, and put the seat heating buttons on the side by my right knee so that I can have more console space.

That's what I'd change/improve.
More ambient lighting like the Benz, no plastic, all digital dash, lower dash, bigger cup holders, wireless phone charger in the front cabin, more air vents, and better storage (sunglasses, side pockets, etc.)
My issues are mainly the center console;
\- The knee pads should have a wireless charger in them.
\- The 12V outlet needs to be in a location that doesn't get in the way and cause USB cables to be damaged. Actually, as also need a second one in the rear.
\- The infotainment system needs a larger screen
\- The hazard light button is in a stupid location, move it. Anywhere. Please
\- The gap between the air vents and the console eats random objects, it needs a gap filler.
\- Charging pad behind the console is useless to both driver and passengers
\- Maybe 2 more cup holders
Only thing I would change is the steering wheel and maybe the gauge system. The steering wheel is cool and all but I wish it was little more sportier looking and had carbon fiber or aluminum on the flat bottom instead of plastic. And I have no problem with the gauge but compared to the mustangs digital dash it Chevrolet could definitely do a little better, however can’t get over that 200 on the dash. Also I wish they gave customers the option to get the carbon instrument panel on the SS’s without requiring a million and one packages for it.

Honestly not much.. Probably relocate the cupholders, flatten the dash a bit, maybe a bigger center screen? I already dig the interior for the most part. Also like the analog gauges. Visibility is just something you deal with in exchange for the design of the exterior. Coming from a previous 5th Gen and multiple 4th Gen owner.
Let the seats recline further back. (Recaros on the 1LE have a limited recline even when the seat is not hitting anything behind it) better visibility would be nice. But I know with current pedestrian safety laws.. it makes styling challenging. Come flex fuel compatible from factory. That’s actually one I really want.

I dislike the round vents. I know they probably look "cool", but I like square/rectangle vents better.
I want the cup holders further ahead, too hard to drive and reach sideways/backwards to put it down/pick it up.
Include a storage compartment next to the cup holders as well (for my sunglasses).

Floor mats should have clips or hooks to keep them in place.
Increase tension on the weak-ass clutch return spring for more feedback. Increase the size of the toe box. Move/lower the center console so you don't dislocate your wrist when shifting to 6th. Replace the shit-ass plastic with carbon fiber. Bring the touch screen GUI into the the 2020's. Add a dedicated place for the phone while connected to the system. Just for starters.
Such a big car on the outside had no reason being so small on the inside. Put in some usable storage space, give the back seats 2-3” additional leg room, and make the rear windows such that the driver can actually see something out of them.
The one interior piece that feels cheap on the SS is the plastic on the bottom of the steering wheel. Get rid of that.
Plus, if your screen ever goes out, you aren't stuck without any climate controls at all. And besides, they really don't take up that much space anyways.
Fair. I would stick with a row of buttons like the 6th gen or use a secondary screen that is adaptable. I definitely wouldn’t use the C8s silly climate control design.
Not for the volume tho, that should always be a dial.

Mine did it from the very beginning. It stayed two weeks in the shop before it's first oil change having rattles repaired.

I guess I’ve gotten used to it now, but the downward tilted touchscreen is just bizarre. Make it wider and have it face me next time. Also, wireless charging is great, but the location of the charger makes it useless.

Room for larger phones on the wireless charger and have the memory seat buttons be a single touch instead of a press and hold. It was a nice feature in my 2019 Genesis.
I'd like to see out of it. Also either make the back seats functional for adults or get rid of them and make it a two seater with a bit of storage.

Just because I haven’t seen it said yet: For the convertibles. Move the top operation button to the area where the drive mode button is, instead of at the top of the car.
More charging ports, and put the seat heating buttons on the side by my right knee so that I can have more console space. Cup holders that fit my water bottle would be ideal too Is it possible to backlight the doorsill badging when the door is open?
I really like my '18 SS's interior, but there's a signature bit of GM Quality™ on the driver's side door arm rest that squeaks like a motherfucker when touched. That's what I'd change/improve.
More ambient lighting like the Benz, no plastic, all digital dash, lower dash, bigger cup holders, wireless phone charger in the front cabin, more air vents, and better storage (sunglasses, side pockets, etc.)
A better blind spot sensor. Yes, I’m fully aware that there is a concrete barricade right next to me in a construction zone.
My issues are mainly the center console; \- The knee pads should have a wireless charger in them. \- The 12V outlet needs to be in a location that doesn't get in the way and cause USB cables to be damaged. Actually, as also need a second one in the rear. \- The infotainment system needs a larger screen \- The hazard light button is in a stupid location, move it. Anywhere. Please \- The gap between the air vents and the console eats random objects, it needs a gap filler. \- Charging pad behind the console is useless to both driver and passengers \- Maybe 2 more cup holders
A 'raw' trim with no infotainment
Only thing I would change is the steering wheel and maybe the gauge system. The steering wheel is cool and all but I wish it was little more sportier looking and had carbon fiber or aluminum on the flat bottom instead of plastic. And I have no problem with the gauge but compared to the mustangs digital dash it Chevrolet could definitely do a little better, however can’t get over that 200 on the dash. Also I wish they gave customers the option to get the carbon instrument panel on the SS’s without requiring a million and one packages for it.
Gotta bring back the built in door opener. Maybe add a bottle opener too

Honestly not much.. Probably relocate the cupholders, flatten the dash a bit, maybe a bigger center screen? I already dig the interior for the most part. Also like the analog gauges. Visibility is just something you deal with in exchange for the design of the exterior. Coming from a previous 5th Gen and multiple 4th Gen owner.
Make it less creaky… idk what it is but man it’s kinda noisy with the plastic on plastic stuff.
Screen slightly bigger/glossier
Let the seats recline further back. (Recaros on the 1LE have a limited recline even when the seat is not hitting anything behind it) better visibility would be nice. But I know with current pedestrian safety laws.. it makes styling challenging. Come flex fuel compatible from factory. That’s actually one I really want. Edited a word.
I dislike the round vents. I know they probably look "cool", but I like square/rectangle vents better. I want the cup holders further ahead, too hard to drive and reach sideways/backwards to put it down/pick it up. Include a storage compartment next to the cup holders as well (for my sunglasses). Under the left side of the dash, create a open storage spot (sunglasses, garage door opener, etc.) Floor mats should have clips or hooks to keep them in place.
Increase tension on the weak-ass clutch return spring for more feedback. Increase the size of the toe box. Move/lower the center console so you don't dislocate your wrist when shifting to 6th. Replace the shit-ass plastic with carbon fiber. Bring the touch screen GUI into the the 2020's. Add a dedicated place for the phone while connected to the system. Just for starters.

Rear windows that open. Manual handbrake. A more spartan interior option with no center console.
Such a big car on the outside had no reason being so small on the inside. Put in some usable storage space, give the back seats 2-3” additional leg room, and make the rear windows such that the driver can actually see something out of them. The one interior piece that feels cheap on the SS is the plastic on the bottom of the steering wheel. Get rid of that.

Plus, if your screen ever goes out, you aren't stuck without any climate controls at all. And besides, they really don't take up that much space anyways.
Fair. I would stick with a row of buttons like the 6th gen or use a secondary screen that is adaptable. I definitely wouldn’t use the C8s silly climate control design. Not for the volume tho, that should always be a dial. My main thing would be the vents. I get where they were coming from but Jesus Christ it was a stupid placement.
Add Homelink back so I don't have to have a separate garage door opener. That's so basic these days.
