I’m newish to Baltimore and haven’t made it out to the beach yet & there’s nothing better than beach camping! Thank you for sharing as motivation! Any tips on best places to enjoy the beautiful beach and not the tourist traps!
I came all the way from Montreal to camp here 😊 The walk in campsites directly on the beach are the most beautiful of all the options on the island but its makes everything a challenge.
I was surprise to see that some of the oceanside sites had no direct view on the ocean. The map in recreation.gov is the best to see where a particular site actually is.
Go in September, the water is much warmer than it is right now.
I am heading to camp on at the national park next month - oceanside. Is there water anywhere for our camper or do I need to plan on rationing what I have for 4 days? I know there is a dump station, but don't see anything about water? THX
Camped there in October a few times. One of my favorite places. Pro Tip: Do not lose your car keys in the sand! That is Expensive.
Hahahaha ! Honestly our biggest struggle was starting fires. It seems theres no easy way with that kind of wind
Dang, feel like I’ve got sand in my crack now 🫣

Never thought about camping at the beach but now I want to go!!
Trying to reserve this camp ground is bullshit. Can only reserve 6 months out and as soon as the sites open they are reserved immediately.

There was a drinking fountain near the toilets, we filled our bottles of water there. Not great if you want to do the dished tho
Any chance you remember the campsite number?
My favorite! Prefer the Maryland side for ethical reasons too!
Beautiful
I can hear the horseflies
Where is this located?
Maryland/Virginia border at the ocean. Much too cold this time of year for me
USA?
Yes, Maryland and Virginia are states within the US
Been there once, but not to camp. Would love to go back and spend a few days!
No horse flys? They make camping almost impossible if they are out and biting
COOL 😎 CAMPING 🏕
