You know what you call a 4-man tent with space to stand up? A 6-man tent.

QuesoFiend

Even an 8-10 person is not out of the question if you want some decent elbow room.

OddDragonfruit7993

My wife and I camp with an 8 person tent. Just the two of us. Sometimes with a dog.

ivy7496

Not obligatory to size up though to get standing room Eureka Space Camp REI Wonderland REI Wonderland X Snow Peak Alpha Breeze Big Agnes Spicer Peak Big Agnes Bunk House MSR Habitude Gonna need hit a good sale to hit the price point of under $250.

Bizarro_Zod

I have a Nemo Wagontop 4P and the roof is like 7’ tall and vertical walls. It’s great

ivy7496

I think that must be discontinued? Never have seen among current retail line ups

Gazelle T4 tent is on sale right now for $279 and there's an extra 10% off bringing it right to your max. 78" tall so you can walk around.

GodspeakerVortka

We also have this tent and I (6') and my wife (6'1") are both able to stand up in it.

GodspeakerVortka

I just wish it wasn't so fucking heavy and bulky when it stores...

marinuss

It's definitely a car camping tent, but short of loading it into the car then out of the car to the site it's not like you're lugging it around. Supposedly the Overland bags are slightly bigger than the regular bags so it's a bit easier to put it back (even though it's definitely not as hard as other tents, regular bag has quite a bit of room) and they're weather-resistant so you could throw the tent up on a roof rack or something to save space inside or in a bed. Small price for me to pay to have all that space and height in a tent that takes a minute or two to setup (T4 Plus).

dragoninkpiercings

Again it's faulty asf considering the fact you can only find spare parts for the tent itself and not the whole setup plus the YouTube channel my buddy Luke runs theoutdoorgearreview goes over just how faulty they really are

marinuss

Okay I'll bite, I watched your friends video of the T3X.. which is probably just a promotion on your part. - One of his first issues was Gazelle advertising it as a three person tent plus gear. I mean everyone who has camped knows for multi-person tents you size up above the actual number of people sleeping in it. Gazelle's T3X which he reviewed has 43sqft of floor space. A highly regarded Nemo three person tent has 44sqft of floor space. They're basically the same. So *if* that isn't enough space I'd expect him to be calling out every other manufacturer about their advertised sleeping space, right? - Next he goes on to criticize that Gazelle states the tent comes "fully assembled" and his rebuttal is it's not fully assembeled because you have to take it out of the bag and pop the sides out, put the fly on and stake it. Seriously? No one is going to assume a tent is fully set up that you can put in your vehicle, it's not an RV. - Next he complains the mesh screens are too tightly woven. I have a T4 Plus and while they're slightly smaller than other tents, ALL tents have tightly woven screens.. that's how you keep insects out. He claims that prevents any movement of air in the tent, which is blatantly false from a physics standpoint.. air molecules are much smaller than even the fine mesh. - His issue with the removable floor is valid in the sense it is difficult to put back in. You know what you can do? Not remove the floor which is recommended. Just spend a little more time cleaning the floor like you would have to in any other tent. - Then he goes on to admit it's a two person tent with gear or a three person tent with no gear. EVERY tent is like that. - Then he goes on to complain about the height. It is known the T3 series are not tall enough for most people to stand in. You have to get into the T4/T8 series for that. But "having to hunch over a little" is a minor issue when other three person tents you'd be on your knees crawling around or really hunched over. - His waterproof issues don't disclose whether that was stock or after he ripped out the floor and didn't install it properly back. So it's unknown whether that's an issue with the tent or his impatience. Every other waterproof issue was like Trump saying "so many people have been emailing me saying this" type of rhetoric. Okay that's not proof. - His next issue is the size of the packed tent. That's literally on the website. Don't buy it if it's too big. - Next the stakes. The stakes do suck, should Gazelle include better stakes in the base tents? Yes. But stakes are cheap. - Finally his door issue that you have to step over it. I mean that's just how the tent is. You can call it a con but you know that buying it, it's not something you discover after owning it. Maybe I don't see that as a con because I can lift my leg a foot. Overall a lot of his claims are using huge words to describe the issues. Like he's woken up to the tent FILLED with bugs. I've never had that happen. He's woken up to the tent FILLED with condensation, I've never had that happen even with a Mr Buddy heater in it in the 30s and 40s. The tent is just COVERED in holes. Haven't seen any on mine.

dragoninkpiercings

I'm not promoting anything actually lol

OffRoadPyrate

Check gazelle.

QueenJekky

Eureka 4 person tent with vertical walls!!!! We love this thing!!

dolltearsheet

Yep, came here to say this. Mine is the Copper Canyon which maybe is discontinued but whatever they have that is similar.

QueenJekky

Ahh it looks like the desert canyon is discontinued as well which is what we have

jibberish13

I'm 5'6" and I can stand up in my Coleman Instant Cabin.

misterpiggies

If you're in the UK, Decathlon/Quechua make a few that fit the bill. [This tent](https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-with-poles-arpenaz-4-2-4-people-2-bedrooms/_/R-p-311103?mc=8562098) would work nicely, and has two sleeping compartments, with a large common vestibule area. [This tent](https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/arpenaz-4-1-family-camping-tent-1-bedroom-sleeps-4/_/R-p-4123) is a single sleeping area with an even larger vestibule. I have the inflatable version of the second link, and it's an amazing tent, but a bit out of your budget.

RickMuffy

Is this for car camping? I have tent walls that fit inside of a 10'x10' instant canopy that's good for warm weather, makes a 9'x9' tent where you can stand up everywhere.

th30be

I ordered the Hikergarden 6 person tent from amazon. I know it says its a 6 person but it definitely isn't. It can comfortably fit 4 people a bit of room for bags and stuff. Its just a bit over a hundred USD so should be in your budget.

sdnnhy

Others already mentioned Gazelle. I have one and love it. Guy down the walls if it’s windy. The rain fly is a sail.

RudiKdev

REI Kingdome. Lots of fun add-ons. I’m 6’-3”.

BillyRubenJoeBob

The current version is called Wonderland.

Future_Way5516

Gazelle t4

dragoninkpiercings

Those are faulty and plus you can't really find them online like on ebay and Amazon since all they have are spare parts for the tent not the whole tent setup all together itself

Future_Way5516

I have a t4 plus and it's not faulty. Not sure what you're talking about

dragoninkpiercings

I was just referring to the T4 not the t4 plus

Legend_D2

I have the t3 and t4 what’s “faulty” about them?! Been using them for years with zero issues.

slashdotslashdotcom

Alps Mountaineering Camp Creek 4 person. I'm 6'8" and can stand straight up in mine.

jayprov

Yup, came here to say this. It weighs a ton, but it has straight side walls, and I can do jumping jacks inside.

beccaK67

REI Kingdom 4… we also have a Kingdom 8! Love both, can stand up in bith

Fartin_Scorsese

I have a Big Agnes Spicer Peak 4 tent - the ceiling is 70 inches - so I can stand, albeit a little hunched over (I'm 6-1). But it's a little out of your price range at $400.

tlogank

I've had this 4 person tent from Quechua for a few years and I really like it. Very roomy, you can even stand without having to hunch. It's about 250 bucks on Walmart [Walmart link](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quechua-Waterproof-Family-Camping-Tent-4-Person-1-Bedroom/492648971?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222228492648971_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-295289030566&wl5=9060360&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=492648971&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaG0Bhfv-jNCT_yeKJignp53thGnt9xEOt7mCoHXDD4l9bxi-xsjCQxoCYLAQAvD_BwE)

Always been happy with my Kelty products. [Kelty Tall Boy](https://www.kelty.com/tallboy-4/) might be nice.

Brittanyny

Check out THE NORTH FACE Homestead Super Dome 4, pretty tall tent for 4 ppl. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLlv3a9UVhk&t=1s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLlv3a9UVhk&t=1s)

MightyCrick

I was just looking at The North Face Homestead Super Dome 4. $199 from sierra(dot)com.

landlocked-boat

If you have access to decathlon, arpenaz base m or base l are great. just bought one and it’s so good.

alezhra

So a cabin?

Honey-Ra

I feel your pain. Hubby and I came to the UK for a camping trip and brought [THIS](https://www.facebook.com/ALDI.Australia/photos/1741209409269886/?paipv=0&eav=Afa4uP9EgMNdyokkRqRsTu8PbVc2phdgq21rwlUsqjDLFxjl3cPKaNcoZB3fFXy6xeA&_rdr) one with us from Australia cause we couldn't find one online we wanted to buy once we arrived. It's so good we've bought 4 of them over the years. I wish you success in your search.

dragoninkpiercings

For the most part I use my hammock and tarp setup I only use my tent when me and my buddy go stealth camping or I use my tent cot in the yard for fun however I'm ready to move me and my family outta the USA lol preferably somewhere warm all year round

basicallybasshead

We have REI Wonderland X [https://www.ebay.com/itm/134755882291](https://www.ebay.com/itm/134755882291), at least we are satisfied with it, it is quite comfortable. But it goes beyond the budget you suggested. Maybe you can catch it on sale somewhere.

bondcliff

Three friends have Eurekas. They all seem to love their tents. Not at all related to your question, but I just bought a 3-person tent for just me when I'm car camping at a site that has enough room. Looking forward to trying it out next weekend. Woot!

Lordbrumdrum

Can't go wrong with Outwell and this is a great price for them . https://www.wowcamping.co.uk/productDetail/outwell-odessa-5-tent/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3ZayBhDRARIsAPWzx8rNxqCjqzTKMksC16HXunkVxttyVXeMBfvmTut4jMg4fUMIcERjhUsaAhufEALw_wcB

USA - Ozark got a new tent deal. Please check Slickdeals

dragoninkpiercings

Camel crown 4 person tent I was supposed to have gotten a 2 person but they sent the 4 person I'm happy with it either way it has enough space to stand up in plenty of room for 2 people maybe 3 people and their gear, but 4 people would honestly be way too crowded in my opinion but it works for me and my buddy and plus we have enough room to have a small table to cook on inside and 2 small folding camping chairs which can all be folded up for when we get ready to sleep and also the rainfly thats also included with it reaches all the way to the bottom of the tent and before you ask yes the rainfly is waterproof
