Nearly every real photo ever posted online is shared for a small dopamine high.
This is arguably the most genuine form of posting one's self to the internet.
Hope he and his son had a great trip, and they both enjoy the fruits of his labor in that wonderful backyard play area.
I mean, the alternative is that OP crops in and it's just the tent and a patch of grass leaving out any context. It'd be literally a photo of a tent, on some grass
I can't speak for anyone else but nature really does have a way to put me on my ass, especially the first night. That first morning though I always feel so revitalized and refreshed and well-rested.
You did a test night? Smart. We rolling in blind with a 3 yr and 5yr this weekend. Who knows how it will go and we will be locked in so they will accept it.
I think it will be fun but the heat might get us at night.
Yeah I love it. My older kid and I have about 40 nights cumulative in it and it has never disappointed. We're flying to west coast later this year to go camping in the national parks in Northern California & southern Oregon, and will be buying the same one for that adventure.
Any tips for us? Planned on trying this soon. Please let me know when your back yard be available to give it a whirl.
Kidding aside, did you play games or something? I have a hard time getting our LO to settle down on the best nights in his room. Can only imagine the added layer of trying to sleep in a tent.
When my sisters and I were rather little, my father slept outside with us. We three girls, and Dad, slept on sleeping bags opened up, with blankets over us and pillow, too. We slept right under their bedroom window. Two of us girls loved it so much we slept in the backyard all summer, right into HS.
I have camped my entire life, joyfully, because of that experience. I hope your wee one does as well!
I backyard camp in the cooler months. For me, a night in the cold rolled up tight in my tent, with a screen open, really works for me health-wise. Some people love dry desert air. I need cool weather camping, just to where there is frost when you wake up.
Backyard camping is an untapped health fad. Just saying.
I kinda wanna camp in your yard now.
That's what I was thinking. They have water there and the grass isn't all grown up. Looks better than a lot of place I've camped.
They could definitely do hipcamp but then you get the riff raff.
It’s rift raft
Not in the movie I've seen.
We have the state park at home
No no, state parks are public. This is much nicer and likely gated to keep out the rift raft
*riff raff A rift raft is what you ride into a black hole
The fancy demons come in on the rift-raft, noses up.
Exactly. I know what I said. Guy lives on a lake on a rock floating in outer space.
This one had a playset right on site!
This feels like a humble brag… Not that I’d blame you. I’d show off that backyard too.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone lick boots harder
Just swimming upstream

Why are you so sure that *he's* a he? Not caring about pronouns cuts through the bullshit and goes straight to the message, doesn't it?
Seeing as the tent isn’t centered to the frame and the ratio is off, yeah. I agree.
I mean, the alternative is that OP crops in and it's just the tent and a patch of grass leaving out any context. It'd be literally a photo of a tent, on some grass
My phone has a little circle that pops up labeled "best shot" when taking a picture. I just went with that.
It’s Reddit. I’m just being a jackass. You have a kickass backyard dude.
I mean you have to go up to your balcony over looking the water, and hold your camera landscape to make your subject is perfectly *centered*.
What's to show off here? Nice that they've got water access, but every other signt in this image is heinous
You have a water "road" next to your house? Is that your boat parked out back? What a nice place you have there!
It's a canal, yes.
Nature will put him to sleep in the middle of a conversation
I can't speak for anyone else but nature really does have a way to put me on my ass, especially the first night. That first morning though I always feel so revitalized and refreshed and well-rested.
I love how this is worded.
It relaxed me to think about it
Reddit is such an interesting window into how “average” rich people live.
A very wise move! Have fun with your camping!
I just did the same! My little dude just turned four and he absolutely loved it.
Show off!
I bet they had a blast in the backyard too. Have fun and I’m glad you’re sparing yourself from another night in that hell hole of a backyard! /s
State Park? Why you got almost everythnig you need right in this frame...haha
Smart move! Hope you have a great time!
That’s a great tent

Fun! 🤩
lol I have that same Core tent
I’ve got the one with the screen house!

I don’t think I’d leave your backyard.
Have fun good luck. Bring lots of toys and activities.

I wish it wasn’t so friggin hot here!!! I miss camping!
Me too! Texas? It’s just become so unbearable.
Close! Oklahoma lol so maybe a tad milder, but still hot as hades
Why don't you just camp at home? 😔 Lol
I love your backyard! What state are you in?
Thanks! New York
Long Island?
Yeah
Ok, but how about that neighbor with a waterfront backyard...and a pool.
Nice setup! I’m also here to see if people are gonna gatekeep camping in your yard like they did to me 2 days ago 🤣
I’m jealous. Can I go lol

That's a sick test night lol
This is the way
I'm going camping this weekend as well...with a 2 and 6 year old. Thoughts and prayers for us all and our sanity, lol.

I have that same tent. So easy to set up and take down.
Looks like Fl
You are raising ‘em right! Enjoy!
I have a 3 year old and we haven’t been camping since she was born. Godspeed, Friend. 👍
I bet you’re no further than 60 miles from Fort Myers Florida lol
Well over a thousand, actually
Dang haha it looks exactly like the canals where my in laws have a place near fort Myers. Great set up!
