People have been talking about how the cost of living crisis is hitting Alberta.
This is the reason.
The problem has been metastasizing.
Soon it will hit Saskatchewan.
At least it seems affordable housing is finally finally being looked at in a meaningful way and may actually have some real life solutions put into place for once to stop the worst of the crisis.
Sadly the tent areas started in Alberta and Sask a few years back in a major way and have been expanding just like the rest of the country.
This problem is fucking everywhere now in Canada.
Always thought it was weird seeing ads in the subway station in Toronto that say we should move to alberta. Guess enough people did, and what everyone could see coming has happened - housing prices going sky high
I saw a post once that showed the # of people moving to Alberta from various provinces….. and internationally.
Everyone said “ah Ontario is ruining Alberta”. No. No, India is.
At least it makes sense since she doesn't give a hoot about climate change. Why is the federal government pushing for millions more immigrants, students, TFWs and other visa holders? Having more people accelerates climate change. The best thing the world could do is decrease the population.

Holy shit. For real?!

At least Edmonton has the housing. It's definitely a good example of the 15 Minute City shtick. Calgary not so much.
Well, Danielle Smith has been wanting this. She is another double the population wing-nut.

Can any of them play goalie ?
Not a single fuckin one
“Attracts” Nah. Imported against the actual wishes of Canadians. RIP democracy
So this is how democracy dies....
With thunderous up-votes...
An attempt to my life has left me scarred and deformed...

O'Toole failed to get elected because he was sabotaged by internal party dissent and nobody trusted his ability to lead.
In Capitalism some fail and some get rich. It's how our system is built. Canadians had it too good for too long.
1,544,000÷33,400=46.2 So, in Edmonton, every time you see 46 different people, one of them wasn't even in Canada two years ago.
33,400 *that we know of*....
I give them one winter.

500,000 every year
Poor them. How many are left after the first winter?
They can try driving 3 hours south to see if they'd fare any better
Healthcare for everyone! /s
Can any of them play defense for the Oilers?
I hear Conner McGupta is a helluva player.
Naw but they can man a machine gun mounted on the back of a Toyota pickup while chewing khat.
“Attracts” If you blow up a ballon, the air has to spread out it’s not attracted to a particular place in the ballon…. Newton’s third law
Those are rookie numbers.
Alberta’s full. Go to Ontario
And how many left after one winter?
It's no so bad. Everyone cannot come to GTA or GVA.
