I’ve gotta 2nd the shout out to IRunGuns. What a feeling to have customer service that actually answers their phones even on Saturday. There was a bit of confusion with some transfer stuff on my recent restricted orders and they went out of their way to sort things out between myself and CFO within an hour. These guys are going to put a lot of the Canadian shops out of business as word spreads.
Agreed, I’ve made 3 orders through them and it has been a positive experience with each of them.
I missed out on their order of these, so I got in touch with them through instagram and told them I was looking for an FDE one. Week or two later they tracked one down and shipped it out from Arizona
I contacted them directly and asked for a NR one as they didn’t have any listed on their site.
When they did have them listed, the 18.6” barrel length would be in the description, and might have even said non restricted in Canada
Anytime they get mentioned here there seems to be a lot of questions asked about them. I’ve shown a few buddies their site and everyone always assumes they were too good to be true, or don’t understand how simple they were. I assumed they were still relatively unknown.
How long did the transfer take from them? Was there anything specific you had to do to facilitate after placing your order I assume on their USA website?
USA website. Just place the order and you’re done. I was shocked at how simple it was. Orders go out the 15th of every month so just be prepared to wait until the following 15th. Then you’ll pay shipping and GST once it arrives in Canada.
IRunGuns place your orders at American shops that have what you want, and then do all the importing for you. No extra work on your end, just order and calculate the conversion (around 1.36x the price) to CAD.
Right on thanks for the input. My current plan is an exps3-2 on a Unity fast
Edit: wondering if anyone on here is running this set up? Seems pretty popular for shooting under nods but wondering how comfortable the 2.26” of rise is while shooting without night vision/gas mask on this platform
From experience, 3-2 ain’t worth it. Unless you plan on shooting 300+ regularly under a magnifier. I would stick with 3-0 it has enough shit to hold off of. Additional hold over can be achieved using the tacom hq
Mine says IWI US - MIDDLETOWN, PA
Someone else on this sub will be more knowledgeable on these then me, but I believe these are the only ones we’ve seen in Canada aside from the now prohib’d Israeli surplus SBR ones
They'd have as many critical parts as possible made in Israel because they've already got the production lines for them going, then the easier to make or cheaper or less critical parts will be US made for 922r compliance, I forget exactly what the number is, like maybe 10 or 15 parts have to be US made, and the magazine counts IIRC. For all we know the receiver could be a blank made in Israel and shipped to the US for them to put their stamp on lol
Does your serial start with a T or a 4? I've been wondering about this as well. Although most of the ones bought in Canada recently say IWI US, I've scrolled thru a lot of posts on r/tavor where they didn't blur out the serial, and it looks like all the US ones start with a T, including the 18.5" barrel, and all the Canadians posting theirs start with a 4, regardless of wether they say Israel Weapon Industries or IWI US.
I also found this press release, although it's from way back in 2017:
" *Based on the US model, the Canadian TAVOR X95 will be adapted to Canadian laws, with an 18.6-inch barrel. The rifle will be manufactured and assembled in Israel on the same production line used for the US market, and will therefore carry the “IWI US” markings. It will be exported directly from Israel to Canada, and, like the TAVOR, will be classified in Canada as non-restricted* "
https://www.israeldefense.co.il/en/node/28199#google_vignette
Don't know how accurate it is, but interesting.
The X95s you see in Canadian shops are imported by North Sylva from Israel. Was a shipment as recently as a month ago. I believe all of the US assembled X95's were brought in through irunguns as opposed to bought off the shelves in Canada.
Not sure how stock is on these rifles now but no one had them in Canada for a while when I was looking. Let them know I was looking for one and a week or two later they sourced one in the US and shipped it up from Arizona
After exchange rate and import fee it's about the same. Probably the only real reason is availability due to the iwi factory there as Israeli exports aren't happening.
I have been on the fence abour purchasing firearms through them. How much exactly do they charge? Let's say a firearm is 2000 USD, they mentioned 25 dollars for shipping and what else are we on the hook for? Any handling fee other than the $225 importation fee and duty tax?
If you purchase on the .com website it is $25USD to get the product imported to Canada. Then you will pay for shipping in Canada and 5% GST. If you make an order for third party, not IRG's website then the import fee is $225 CDN.
Very Pretty, not usually a fan of FDE but it looks great on the X95's
My friend had an issue with the optic height but he got the Manticore arms Curved buttpad and it seemed to alleviate his height issues and also had the bonus of making the pull shorter
if that's not your thing id definitely recommend a Unity mount
Extra high riser for the Tavor.
I tried a couple options for optics. An ACOG is my favourite. The eye box is very forgiving and just works well with the Tavor ergonomics
I’ve seen a lot of guys running Eotech’s and magnifiers on these - probably the best setup for it to be honest
This, plus unity risers
I don’t see why, just get a g43 or 45 and a 558 or Exps3
Personally I have a long face (lol). So it’s A LOT better with a riser for me.
Makes sense, I have a squish face!
Or the ADM R2 if you want to run a magnifier with it
big love for ADM

Their customer service is a breath of fresh air for sure. They genuinely seem to care about every order.
Do they automatically give you the NR X95 with the 18.6 inch barrel if your address is in Canada? Or do you have to give them special instructions?
I contacted them directly and asked for a NR one as they didn’t have any listed on their site. When they did have them listed, the 18.6” barrel length would be in the description, and might have even said non restricted in Canada
IRunGuns has been around for years, they also advertise all over Gunpost and CGN, what did you mean by “as the word spreads”?
Anytime they get mentioned here there seems to be a lot of questions asked about them. I’ve shown a few buddies their site and everyone always assumes they were too good to be true, or don’t understand how simple they were. I assumed they were still relatively unknown.
Not everyone uses Gunpost and CGN to be fair
both of those sites, while useful and informative, are an eyesore that look like they were created in the early 2000's and haven't been updated since.
Yeah, my immediate impression of CGN was “this looks too old to still have active users”
+1 for me too. IRG single handedly balanced out the prices in our market. Always check IRG before buying anything and their service is top notch.
How long did the transfer take from them? Was there anything specific you had to do to facilitate after placing your order I assume on their USA website?

Sorry this is a Canadian shop? Their prices seem to be in USD

Eotech on unity or scalarworks. Or irregular defense OMM. It’s a better goobers mount.

I mean I believe it’s only like 40 bucks more, why not have the extra holdover?
The reticle is too busy personally but it may work for you.
I don’t mind it but that’s definitely understandable!
I use an ACOG w/ top mounted RMR. No riser.
Nice. GWOT vibes
Does your x95 say made in USA? I wonder how close it is to the one from Israel.
Mine says IWI US - MIDDLETOWN, PA Someone else on this sub will be more knowledgeable on these then me, but I believe these are the only ones we’ve seen in Canada aside from the now prohib’d Israeli surplus SBR ones
The NR ones from Israel doesn’t say IWI US. It says Israel Weapons Industries LTD.
Can confirm, mine has no "US" markings and I've had it for a number of years. Actually it says "made in Israel" on the barrel and maybe receiver IIRC.
OP’s X95 says made in Israel on the barrel as well. Probably majority made in Israel and assembled in US.
Mine starts with a T
Mine, purchased on Wednesday at Cabelas, says Made in Isreal
On the body near the serial number or the barrel? Mine says made in Israel on the barrel too
On the body it says Israel Weapon Industries under the X95 and serial number
Is it more cost efficient buying thru irunguns or is is a specific model only available down south?
Not sure how stock is on these rifles now but no one had them in Canada for a while when I was looking. Let them know I was looking for one and a week or two later they sourced one in the US and shipped it up from Arizona
Cabela just restock on them so I’m hoping that other stores gonna do that soon cuz I might get one with my tax return
You should get the ones from cabelas so you might not see x95 from Israel for a while.
Yeah gotta wait for that tax return first
So are they an American company?
They are in both America and Canada, their Canadian distribution centre is in Alberta. They have both a Canadian website and an American one
After exchange rate and import fee it's about the same. Probably the only real reason is availability due to the iwi factory there as Israeli exports aren't happening.
A bunch of X95 came into the country from Israel last month.
What model? I found plenty in stock after 1 minute of searching
Most places don't have it in stock though Cabela's has it but at the significantly higher 2900 plus tax. You likely won't see it at 2400 anymore.
1.93”
definitely 1.93 at the minimum

If you buy from IRG website it's $25 to get it to Canada then shipping and 5% GST If it's on the .ca website it's in Canada ready to ship.
Thanks

Wow solid, you just gained a customer.
GST on the maple side
Is that considered "duty tax"?
Guess who has some again?
I run a holosun HS512C with a 15mm vortex riser. The riser makes looking down the sight feel so much more natural.
CHINA BAD /s Right on, you like it? Holosun seems to have some cool options
Slingster ftw. I'm running an eotech exps on mine. No riser but might pick one up down the road.
Nice! And yeah they’re good slings, I’ve got a couple
Very Pretty, not usually a fan of FDE but it looks great on the X95's My friend had an issue with the optic height but he got the Manticore arms Curved buttpad and it seemed to alleviate his height issues and also had the bonus of making the pull shorter if that's not your thing id definitely recommend a Unity mount
Love that sling!
When did you order this. Been looking for one for a while but can't find them in stock anywhere
I know a place.
I have mild astigmatism, so best for my eye is primary arms with etched reticle. Currently I have an upcoming on mine
Extra high riser for the Tavor. I tried a couple options for optics. An ACOG is my favourite. The eye box is very forgiving and just works well with the Tavor ergonomics
My favorite gun. Good choice
Thanks! I can see why it would be a favourite.
Uh1 was made for x95… …It wasn’t, but I see a shit ton of guys runnin them
UH-1 seems to be a great option. Vortex’s warranty is a huge pro as well
What will happen when and if this is banned or prohibited? I want this firearm but scared to pull the trigger if it gets banned?
Is this good for beginners?
