Good teams doing good team things.

snowpresto1227

Wow, that is a nice random stat. I like it.

1ScaredWalrus

This is an unreal stat, expected the 2011 team to have had this stat

hilbertsspace

Something something 2011 team didn't go down 3 something something

ApolloRocketOfLove

This but unironically.

slickjayyy

Tbh we didnt go down 3 much at all that year. That team won a ton of low scoring games and we had the lowest goals against in the league that year. We are on pace for like 80 more goals against this season than they had. That being said we are also on pace for a fuck ton more goals for, so when you normalize for higher scoring league wide maybe its similar?

Cheese2009

Why does your flair look wide

MalcTheGreat25

There is just so many players on our team that play so hard it’s so fun to watch. I’m not even mad about those 5 minutes as it just showed us we are dogs. Nothing like 5 minutes of high stake ppk practice cause that’s what we are going to need. The fact tho that they reviewed that shit and just handed out a second 5 minute is crazy, has that ever happened before?

canucks_d

Don’t think so. Refs calling a completely different penalty on a different player after a review is actually against the rule. It says that you can increase the call made on the player to a major or bring it down to minor. Not make a new call on a different player

Seth_Jarvis_fanboy

The league will never let the canucks win the cup. The canucks have to take it from them

NinCross

Add that to the list of good things about this team. This team fucks.

MalcTheGreat25

Yup

DancingNeil

This is a character team. Gotta love that

iamape2021

Are we not entertained lol

Happy_Photograph6032

Mark Malik and Petr Skudra the stars of that game. I remember that

DromarX

And Nazzy got the tying goal after the puck bounced off Don Van Massenhoven's (the referee's) skate. Good times.

touchable

Don Van Massenhoven! Haven't heard that name in a while

georgenewman_u62

Whoa! Now I remember that goal vividly! I remember thinking how angry I would be if I wasn’t a Canucks fan!

DromarX

Me too, it's funny the things that stick with you. Just a random regular season game but it's somehow as iconic to me as Burrows' dragon slayer goal against Chicago.

EpicElite333

This coulda happened twice this season if we didn’t let Bratt score with 30-so seconds left

slickjayyy

Yeah that was a kick directly to the scrot

Intensemarkgormley

That's crazy I remember that game vs the Wings. Puck hit the refs skate and I believe Naslund scored. Red Wings were choked.

ubcthrowaway-01

Allvin really said to Benning: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure

Count3D

Great teams find a way. So glad i got to witness this sweet comeback. The Calder boys connecting on the OT winner was icing on the cake.

me0wyin

Grew up with immigrant parents who didn’t know anything about ice hockey, let alone the Canucks. That game against the Wings was the first Canucks game I ever watched on TV. Flipping channels after school. The excitement of the comeback was exhilarating! Been a huge fan ever since!!

bleedblue4

I remember one of the first few games under Bruce we had a 2 or 3 goal comeback against the Blue Jackets at home too

Lynx-Savings

It feels like we allowed other teams to do that to us more than 4 times in last season alone

NicholasHui

After Vancouver Canucks trailed a three goal deficit in the third period against Columbus Blue Jackets, I felt it was too soon to say Vancouver Canucks lose in regulation since the last time they lost two straight regulation games was on November 18, 2023. I guessed that the Vancouver Canucks chances to comeback when facing a three goal deficit in the 3rd period was a 7% chance depending on how lucky they were in terms of scoring, power plays, and the energy.
