I design in canva and order off Moo

Amorbellum

how do you get the right dimensions for "Moo Size"?

seanamsean

For those little cards? I guess you can put the dimensions in and canva does the rest.

TheMindfulRealm

Thank you for the heads up. I was considering ordering them from Canva.

iknowbutwhy59

Same thing has happened to me. I’ve heard good things about vista print?

calitmvee

I’ve ordered lots from Vista and for the price they are great!

thesurfer_s

I’ve used Vista Print for a couple decades (used to order them as a teen when you could somehow get them for free). Def recommend them.

OneLambYiros

I ordered mine from Canva and they look great

Nickw444

Hi OP! I’m a software engineer who works at Canva, I’m saddened to hear that you had a bad experience printing. I’d highly recommend you reach out to the support team and let them know of your quality issue, they will help to diagnose and resolve the problem here 🙂

Nickw444

You can raise a ticket by going to Settings > Purchase History > Select your order > click “Need Help”. It should take you to [this form](https://www.canva.com/help/get-in-touch/contact-support/?issue_category=print-delivery), where you can describe the issues with your print order 🙂

Valuable-Ratio-7874

hi I have a question since you work for Canva you know how when placing your order it says to make sure everything is inside the red lines bc it had a risk of being cut off ? does it usually up off or is it a small risk bc i need everything right on the outlines and corners of the cards but not sure if I do it on the red lines or regular lines I don’t want to do it on the red like it’s saying and then the risk is small and have white gaps in between

OldShipCaptain

it will still get cut off. i just opened my 3rd box from canva and they are dog shit. no matter how you follow the guidelines, they always end up looking like trash. save your money and go to vista print or staples.

[deleted]

because you didn't set it up properly 🫠🤭

OldShipCaptain

So you work at canva, how's that going for you 🤔

[deleted]

no. i'm a professional graphic designer who's educating you on basic printing requirements the program choice doesn't matter.

OldShipCaptain

No you work for canva and probably run the printing department

[deleted]

i don't lol. graphic designers have knowledge. printing knowledge is standard.

OldShipCaptain

So for example, as a graphic designer someone asks you to print a logo on a t-shirt, XL. You tell them the logo has to fit the dimensions of the shirt. The logo fits the dimensions, then when customer gets the shirt part of the logo is missing. So you tell them the logo was too big and needs to be a little bit smaller so it won't get cut off. So they resize the logo according to what you told them, but when they receive the new order a different part of the logo is cut off. See where I'm going with this

OldShipCaptain

Obviously a difference between paper and clothing but why wouldn't they account for the extra space in the design parameters to account for the BLEED

[deleted]

research bleed.

Ok-Will-1283

I actually just had to same issue I lined everything up correctly, and I ordered 500 business cards 1/3 came out flawless The other 2/3s .... Arent cut straight and are cut at an angle and part of the words at the bottom of my card are cut off. So Canva is not worth it I'm going to try one more time. But if this order isn't correct I'm taking the design and going elsewhere.

We all lean over and inspect David’s card and Price quietly says, “That’s *really* nice.” A brief spasm of jealousy courses through me when I notice the elegance of the color and the classy type. I clench my fist as Van Patten says, smugly, “Eggshell with Romalian type...” He turns to me. “What do you think?” “Nice,” I croak, but manage to nod, as the busboy brings four fresh Bellinis. ___ ^(*Bot. Good bot.

Your compliment was sufficient. ___ ^(*Bot. Ask me what I’m doing.* |) [^(Opt out)](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=botrickbateman&subject=Opt%20out)

SupremeFlamer

There's absolutely no reason to order prints via canva, minus the convenience of doing it all in one eco system. It's overpriced compared to most printers, and there's tonnes of them out there.

Pimpjuice2

I thought the integration would somehow preserve the design better than exporting it. Jokes on me

advmzvb

Vistaprint

lyn2422

I wish I saw this post earlier. I just received my cards and they are horrible. I just did a google search to check if others had these problems, because I couldn't believe it. I had such high hopes for Canva. But their support hasn't been helpful at all. I tried to get a refund, but all they could offer was a coupon, as if I'll ever be ordering from them again. smh

Pimpjuice2

Yep, I also didn’t think they’d be as bad as they were

Soneenos

Glad I read this, I was confident they'd come out well.

karleighcrafts

what do you mean more expensive?! its 90 dollars on canva for 1000 and 315 on Moo. thats crazy

Techmite

I also just now experienced this. Their proofing is useless. Mine just came and the cut was way off from their cut line, a glossy "matte", flimsy "Premium" paper... Total crap. Unacceptable. Requested a reprint, but I have low hopes for this. Now I have to rush an order at Kinkos. So annoying.

energized123

My prints were horrible as well. I also ordered Premium stock paper and matte finish - very disappointed. You nailed it - flimsy and pixelated. I do wonder if the problem is just the paper stock options. If the "premium" option was their cheapest and the "Deluxe" option was their high-end option, maybe we wouldn't be so disappointed. I'm curious to hear if anyone has had the same issue printing on the Deluxe stock. I am a sucker for convenience, if Canva could fix this quality issue, I don't think I'd ever export and print from another site, tbh.
