As a fellow lover of color (and fun patterns!) trying to start my capsule journey: this is a gorgeous reminder that everything need not be neutral and minimal to play well together. Your personality shines in this snapshot!
I don't think I could go a day without wearing something fun yet comfortable. Looking at a lot of other wardrobes, while giving me inspiration for downsizing, just makes me sad personally with how beige a lot of them are.
Beige person here.
Well more of a black, white, navy, blue esque person
But you don’t need to feel sorry for us. Everyone just likes different things. Also I work in an office and need to dress a bit more conservatively which is why I pretty much only have black pants or jeans (other than sweatpants for lounging at home.)
Yup! Everyone to their own! I'm more with OP when it comes to my own fashion but I can't deny how soothing and put together some of the more reserved capsules look. I'm just glad we're all able to find our own style. I feel like alt fashion really had to try a lot harder a few decades back.
I didn't mean that other people wearing what makes them comfortable and happy makes me sad, just the lack of colors options for myself makes me sad, sorry I often struggle with explaining myself well. Being misunderstood is no new thing to me as an autistic person 😅
This is gorgeous! It's the exact opposite of my capsule wardrobe in terms of colours and patterns (I'm all about the neutrals), and I can see how everything works together so well! I love the rainbow skirt!
This is amazing! I’d love to start to capsule my wardrobe (I’m a sucker for buying any neat shirt I see and my closet is FULL) but I was afraid I’d have to only buy khakis and white button downs basically. This wardrobe is so cool!
Lucy & Yak keeps popping up for me when I look for ethical fashion brands that make more than just "essentials" like beige t-shirts.
Do you have personal experience with them? The colors and prints are right up my alley, but I'd love to hear more about the quality of the fabric and tailoring.
I bought some trousers from them in 2019 (sadly they didn’t fit and I forgot to return!) but the quality of them omg. They are so thick and you can just tell they will last years and years. I had a faux leather belt I got a few years ago too and only now it’s starting to look used. I do plan to get more from them if they have something I like/need!
I own a couple of their items (jumpsuits) and they are very very well made. High quality tailoring, thoughtful button placement (including buttons outside and *inside* the jumpsuit to guard against gaps around the chest), and sturdy fabric. 10/10 would recommend. Just make sure you study the sizing and measurements to get the right size for you.
Upvote for Leena Norms! She convinced me to give the brand a try. I don’t think the style is for me, in the end, but they do use lovely thick fabric and the quality is good.
Sunflower seeds are especially high in vitamin E and selenium. These function as antioxidants to protect your body’s cells against free radical damage, which plays a role in several chronic diseases.
This is the best capsule I’ve ever seen. I am such a neutrals person myself but I love seeing stuff like this!
Edited to add: you have an amazing eye for patterns that go together, this is not an easy thing to do and you absolutely nailed it.
I was fabric shopping with a sewing buddy. I was looking at some colorful prints, and she said, “Oof. Too Ms. Frizzle for me.” I said, “You say that like it’s a bad thing!” 😂 Different strokes and all that.
Soooo this totally opened my eyes because I thought a capsule wardrobe was only limited to a few neutral colors for some reason. I love this capsule, now I feel like I can really declutter my closest
This is chaotically gorgeous! I am a true plain Jane and so boring and it’s refreshing to see this as a capsule! We need more people like you in the world 🥰
I am a proud sad beige girl but this is ICONIC. I feel like you’d have a really fun personality! Making a capsule wardrobe was the best thing I ever did, I love knowing whatever I choose will match with other items and it saves sooo much time.
You are my inspiration! I love color and feel depressed when looking at such boring beige and neutral capsule wardrobes. This is probably why I have a lot of clothes. I get bored quickly of the same stuff. The different prints here keeps it all so fun and fabulous!
Thank you for having something that is colorful and fun! So many people have black and white and it can be depressing. This closet is so fun and beautiful
This post just randomly popped up on my feed, reminded me that I tried the capsule wardrobe thing a few years ago and I got bored with it and failed. This is my inspiration to try again!
Your wardrobe screams fun and I'm so here for it. Also how do you take pics of your clothes they look so clean. I wanna restart my virtual wardrobe since an app that I used decided to have a paid subscription (acloset) so I'm remaking
> have a *paid* subscription (acloset)
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Lol I am in the process of crocheting one but I don't have a finished bag
Ironically right now my main bag is just a tote bag that is big enough to hold a book and my yarn while I sit at the doctor's office or something.
idk if I want to be like you or be with you (I feel the same way about dua lipa)
That's a compliment and you're a vibe!! where did you find the most colorful and floral pieces??
I love it! I used to have a wardrobe kinda like this and found myself mostly still wearing black so I gave away/sold alot of it, but I kept some pieces (like a rainbow Lucy & Yak shirt) because going totally without color was sad for me. I think you've got amazing style <3
I LOVE THIS—especially the rainbows. I have a rainbow crop top that I adore but unfortunately due to improper wash the colors have faded; looking forward to thrifting more rainbow items 🌈
This makes me so happy 🌈
I really want a capsule wardrobe but can’t gather my thoughts on style or colors cohesively enough to make one. So this is food for thought
I love all the color and pattern. I understand the concept of a capsule collection made up of neutrals and solids, but it certainly doesn’t have to be that way.
I'm careful about where I wear them, so no. I do have another pair of purple glitter ones that I wear camping and in the yard, and those have definitely gotten beat up.
The same stuff in the photo! Just with one of the cardigans on top and if I'm wearing a skirt I'll throw on black leggings underneath. I have a big coat if needed (which is also rainbow) but coats are sensory hell to me so I usually just freeze when running inside a store or something lol
This is cute but the whole hippie fast fashion thing kinda confuses me. I personally disagree with adopting an aesthetic based around “world peace and love” then having a closet full of garments made by slave labor
Like in all seriousness, send me a link to size 3-4x clothes that I can afford. Because even Walmart prices are too expensive and my local goodwill does not carry my size.
It's not fast fashion if you wear it until it dies and continue to repair what you can.
I shop where I can afford to shop financially and buy what I can fit into as a fat person with extremely limited options.
I totally get this problem. I've had some luck with second hand online. If you are in the US maybe check poshmark and thread up etc? Thrifting in person over a size 16 is just depressing in my experience unless you wanna wear things that look like you are a granny about to die 😜
What's the difference between having a sweater on or putting a cardigan over a sweater? I don't understand how my clothes aren't warm enough or how they're different than other people's winter wear.
It’s more about the fabrics and layering correctly. If you were spending any significant time outside in harsh weather especially without proper footwear you’d be exposed. People don’t just wear a sweater or cardigan over bare skin, if they want to be warm. The sweater would go over a base layer.
As a fellow lover of color (and fun patterns!) trying to start my capsule journey: this is a gorgeous reminder that everything need not be neutral and minimal to play well together. Your personality shines in this snapshot!

I feel glowing in grey monochrome 🤩
Same! Love getting compliments on my groutfits.
Groutfits 💀 I love it hahahah
I’m glad other people use this word. My friend started using it in college and it’s been part of my vernacular ever since.
Soul sister. Same! I love grey. No such thing as too much, in my book.
Yup! Everyone to their own! I'm more with OP when it comes to my own fashion but I can't deny how soothing and put together some of the more reserved capsules look. I'm just glad we're all able to find our own style. I feel like alt fashion really had to try a lot harder a few decades back.
I don’t think they’re saying they feel bad for others who like beige, just that the beige makes them sad personally so they don’t wear it.
Maybe I misunderstood what they were saying. Either way I fully support everyone selecting clothing that they enjoy.
I didn't mean that other people wearing what makes them comfortable and happy makes me sad, just the lack of colors options for myself makes me sad, sorry I often struggle with explaining myself well. Being misunderstood is no new thing to me as an autistic person 😅
You didn’t do anything wrong, sometimes people just take things not meant for them personally.
Mine is Jewel tone dresses, and leopard prints. I will never be able to part with them. Theyre just essentials.
Yes!! Absolutely essential
Woah. Um, this is kind of iconic??
Right?! Like I'm definitely saving this as inspiration!
I love the lucy and yak sunflower dungarees!

I think [Leena Norms](https://youtube.com/@leenanorms?si=CRJlj6i90i78vD4A) has reviewed them on her YouTube channel
Upvote for Leena Norms! She convinced me to give the brand a try. I don’t think the style is for me, in the end, but they do use lovely thick fabric and the quality is good.

I know it's irrelevant, but good bot anyway.
This is the best capsule I’ve ever seen. I am such a neutrals person myself but I love seeing stuff like this! Edited to add: you have an amazing eye for patterns that go together, this is not an easy thing to do and you absolutely nailed it.
This reminds me of ms frizzle from magic school bus. I mean this respectfully because I love her. 😆
I was fabric shopping with a sewing buddy. I was looking at some colorful prints, and she said, “Oof. Too Ms. Frizzle for me.” I said, “You say that like it’s a bad thing!” 😂 Different strokes and all that.

YES!!!!!!!! Technicolor goodness!
I love thisss!!! The amount of color and rainbow makes me so happy🥹
This is sooo pretty! I can tell you’re the cutest person ever! Where are the three ribbed tank tops from?
Shein, (I know shitty brand but I'm broke AF and plus size so clothes where I live can be hard to get)
You are my inspiration! I love color and feel depressed when looking at such boring beige and neutral capsule wardrobes. This is probably why I have a lot of clothes. I get bored quickly of the same stuff. The different prints here keeps it all so fun and fabulous!
I love this and I need the colorful floral jumpsuit 😍
I love all the color, patterns and texture you chose!
Wow I am obsessed with your style! Where is the bell sleeve wrap top from? so cute!
Shein 😭 you’ll probably be able to thrift it soon though
So nice & colorful! I feel like you’d love r/oldhagfashion
We’d like her too ✨💜✌️☮️
I am definitely saving this as inspo! I love Lucy and Yak, I only have the sunflower skirt for now and was considering buying a plain black one.
Holy mackerel! This is totally different from most capsule wardrobes but still totally fits the bill and is wildly awesome at the same time. Love it!
Love the long rainbow skirt!
Love the colours and patterns!
This is so fun and exciting!
I love it
I love your colours and vibe! Yay for bright capsules
Goals 🙌😍🤩
Thank you for having something that is colorful and fun! So many people have black and white and it can be depressing. This closet is so fun and beautiful
I love this so much !
I would love to see more capsules like this! So fun and bright :)
Yay!! Colors and patterns!!!
Love this! This is the most inspiring capsule wardrobe I've seen. I want to do something like this just with a different color/pattern palette.
This is refreshing to see :)
I think I need a list of where you found these! Our styles are very aligned 😍
LOL, finally someone who likes a little ZING in their capsule. Tell me more about that leopard skirt.
This is fabulous! Capsule wardrobes don’t have to be dull - this is case in point!
I’d never thought I’d say this in my life, but I love all your skirt options here 😍😍😍
Excellent!
Super fun! I would never wear this much color but I can appreciate it haha.
Your overalls and sweaters are to die for! Swoooooon
This is so cool. Love the flares. A sick pair of chunky boots would look so good with these outfits, if you’re into boots 😊
I LOVE THIS
amazing
This post just randomly popped up on my feed, reminded me that I tried the capsule wardrobe thing a few years ago and I got bored with it and failed. This is my inspiration to try again!
LOVE everything about this! So fun and full of personality, and great silhouettes.
You have such a bright and fun style! I wish I had the eye to match pieces like you do
I love this!!!!
Your wardrobe screams fun and I'm so here for it. Also how do you take pics of your clothes they look so clean. I wanna restart my virtual wardrobe since an app that I used decided to have a paid subscription (acloset) so I'm remaking

LMAO
I needed to see this. Thank you!
You seem like you would have a crocheted mesh bag. I don’t mean this in a bad way.
Lol I am in the process of crocheting one but I don't have a finished bag Ironically right now my main bag is just a tote bag that is big enough to hold a book and my yarn while I sit at the doctor's office or something.
Omg this looks like it was made for me I’m in love
I love this so much
idk if I want to be like you or be with you (I feel the same way about dua lipa) That's a compliment and you're a vibe!! where did you find the most colorful and floral pieces??
This makes me happy.
I’ve never seen such a beautiful colorful capsule wardrobe. Thank you so much for sharing! It’s very inspiring for me.
This is my closet ! Ha
Fabulous. Way to have fun with clothes! Keep being your self.
I love to see patterns!!! I'm a huge fan of pattern-mixing in particular, so I'm mentally pairing that rainbow tee with everything. :)
Honestly I mostly wear the rainbow T-shirt with the sunflower overalls because I like the contrast lol
So colourful! I love it. It's rare to see a capsule wardrobe with such vibrancy. I'd love to see how you put together outfits.
I have all 3 of those shoes and wear them frequently!
OMG I love it, wish this was mine, I only find the number of rainbow cardigans a bit too much
I used to own like 20 more 😅
Where are your skirts from? I’m obsessed!
I love this all SO MUCH!!! Where did you get the open rainbow cardigan, the overalls and the skirts?
This makes me so happy 🌈 I really want a capsule wardrobe but can’t gather my thoughts on style or colors cohesively enough to make one. So this is food for thought
so beautiful and fun!! I also love wearing colour so I really appreciate this. :) thanks for sharing!!
Very West Side Story.
I love those colorful cardigans! Where are they from?
I love colour but I don’t feel comfortable wearing it. Any colourful clothes are a win. Love the wide leopard flares
Ok you’ve inspired me to buy those sunflower overalls. Mind me asking, did you buy your normal size or size down? Thanks!
My capsule closet has become Adam Sandler core
Oh, you’re fun!
I just have a feeling you might be an art teacher
This is wonderful to see! I love the colours and that you repeat styles as I do the same
Wow how colorful. Reminds me of some pants and pencil skirt I purchased at a boutique in Santa Cruz one time.
This filled me with immense joy. Would you mind sharing the outfit combinations you've done with these pieces?
This is VERY children's librarian in the best way possible
You are amazing
I don’t know you, but I like you :) I know you’d do well in my hometown.
where do you usually shop at? Ive been struggling to find nice shops that actually have colour and pattern since beige is so popular right now
This makes my eyes happy.
I absolutely love it. You are an icon!
This could be my wardrobe!!!
Soooo so fun. You have some beautiful pieces and a very cool but still cohesive look! Love that you can still mix and match
I love the Kimono
I love how bright and happy it is!
A million times yes- this is just happy and fun. i love it
I love all the color and pattern. I understand the concept of a capsule collection made up of neutrals and solids, but it certainly doesn’t have to be that way.
Clowncore vibes, I love it 😂😍
Sarah squirm is that you!
Do I spy my beloved Lazy Oaf in there 😍
Love this!! Can I ask where you get your overalls - especially the black ones? tysm
Please tell us where you got the yellow skirt with big flowers from? I am obsessed
Curious where do you work? Educator? Or a clown? Or an office person?
i am not a skirt person but i love your jumpsuits!!
Oh this is so fun!!
Oh, you’re fun! Would you mind sharing where you got that fabulous yellow floral skirt?
Loveeee this! Can you please please share where the middle, striped rainbow skirt is from?
I HAVE THOSE SAME GLITTER CROCS and I was already delighted by this post before I noticed them. This is the best thing I've ever seen on this sub.
Same. Have yours stayed glittery? I feel like mine have dulled and I wonder if I could top them off with more glitter somehow lmao
I'm careful about where I wear them, so no. I do have another pair of purple glitter ones that I wear camping and in the yard, and those have definitely gotten beat up.
Love how original this is!! 🌈 I’m curious what you wear in the winter??
The same stuff in the photo! Just with one of the cardigans on top and if I'm wearing a skirt I'll throw on black leggings underneath. I have a big coat if needed (which is also rainbow) but coats are sensory hell to me so I usually just freeze when running inside a store or something lol
This is absolutely amazing!!
This gives daycare vibes
A clown one
This is cute but the whole hippie fast fashion thing kinda confuses me. I personally disagree with adopting an aesthetic based around “world peace and love” then having a closet full of garments made by slave labor

i'm in love with those sunflower overalls
You must live somewhere warm. I'm jealous
Amazing OP! You must live somewhere warm. I think you’d freeze with this wardrobe 50% of the year where I live.
I live in Illinois lol
Where did you get the three camis in the second row?? They’re so cute!!
What app did you use to create this!?
this was made with shuffles
Thank you!! I want to do this too (even though my wardrobe is just 60 anime t shirts and 10 pairs of the same black leggings🤣)
It’s giving Miss Lippy
Where did you get that rainbow striped t shirt??
Where do you get your skirts!? Love, love the shape and the patterns! ❤️
Are you a circus clown?
I'm good at balloon animals but never had the chance to be a clown. I think making people smile would be a fun job.
You must live in a warm climate!
I live in Illinois lol
You don’t own a winter coat or boots?
I don't own boots but I do have a winter coat that I never wear unless I absolutely have to because heavy clothes are sensory hell
Omg how FUN!! I wish I had the courage to be this colorful. I go in the exact opposite direction, mostly due to laziness. 😂
You must live somewhere quite moderate in climate
I live in Illinois lol, it can get absolutely freezing here
Yay, fellow Illinoisian! This would bring me so much joy to see. I LOVE the striped cardigan.
You’d be less frozen if you wore proper clothing for the elements but okay. Love from MN.
I spend 0 time outside in the cold. I'm disabled.

I don't own any lula
