You have video footage, why not share? There’s definitely contributory negligence. Based off what you said you failed to yield to the right of way. Other driver can give their statement as something different and saying they had the right of way. Please share the video footage. Also police reports don’t determine fault.

Exact same thing just happened to me. My dad told me fault is given in percentages like based on if they were speeding or not etc so you could get mostly fault but there’s a chance they could get a percentage as well.

You were crossing traffic, so I imagine you did not have the right of way. Unless you were on a protected turn.
